@@sarahrobert3771 whichever country is better all depends on the individual & what you're looking for. If you have a family, just want a decent life, love having time off & a good work-life balance, concerned about food quality, care about public transportation, don't like extreme weather, want easier access to the best education, & would like to travel around the world & have closer proximity to Europe, Africa, & the Middle East then the UK is best for you. If you're young & healthy (don't need to go hospital much), very ambitious, want to make more money in a shorter time, like big homes, not put off by high crime & crazy gun laws (it's a huge country & chances of you dealing with crime is pretty low however it can pop up at any random time & being black you're always a target no matter how nice some people may seem at first), are already rich, don't care to travel outside the country as much then the USA is better for you.

The US is huge, you can't make comparison as every state is different from tax, cost of living, health care etc. This video is misleading, next time try to be specific on the states. Someone in California or New York will pay more for everything compared to someone in Florida or Indiana.

With the housing & accommodation, she did not mention that living in the major cities in the US is a lot more expensive than living in the suburban areas, which varies from state to state. Also, In searching its easier in some parts than others again state to state. Most people who live in the UK and relocated to the US usually can't understand why people still prefer to live in the UK... for me I went to university in the US and lived there for 8 years. I will say people prefer US to UK and vice versa for various reasons besides it's a matter of preference. UK is more laid back in my opinion.....People are always in a rush in the US from my experience. Other Europeans will say London is not laid back enough. US with paid vacation of only 2 weeks a year compared to UK where you can get up to 28 days paid holiday a year in some parts, I'll take the UK. Most parts of the UK are laid back except major cities. The Brits will tell you that London is hardly a true representation of the UK be it for jobs or accomodation, schools for your children etc, it's better to move outside of London. I prefer the UK...and where you first landed will most times have an impact on the person no matter what, you get attached to the place except its a really bad area. I am a Londoner. won't move for anything...USA to me is unappealing these days to be honest. Tochi is right live wherever you like its your choice...one man's trash is another man's treasure 🎉 Thanks Tochi for keeping us in the know. God bless you.

I’m confused with all her calculations too. Maybe she lives somewhere in the suburban in Columbus Ohio or ST Louis. Coz everything isn’t adding up 😂. her monthly grocery , Mortgage and all is not adding up. 😮😮😮In this our USA 😮mortgage that cheap and feeding 500$ monthly for a family. Wow . Okay now.

So nice to learn that there's an easy access to USA healthcare system tbough not free. However, in as much as I'm getting fade up with life in the UK as an immigrant especially the high levels of "raci*sm", I wouldn't still choose the states . Gun life in the states is too high. " I think our country Nigeria is becoming more better all these countries" 👁 🧐 No perfect heaven on earth.

The thing is with healthcare in the US you better make sure you have a good job or one that provides good insurance & of you ever lose your job you lose insurance. Soo many people here don't have access to decent insurance or don't habe any at all so avoid getting healthcare & in most cases even if you do have good insurance you'd still have to pay. There's also really high levels of racism here too

You truly have experienced the UK. I grew up in the UK and live in the US now. 4 kids now adults born in the Uk. In my 50s. It is irritating to read ignorant comments left by people who obviously have not lived in the 2 Places. Uninformed comparisons based on superficial factors! I have read your comments and you are spot on!! The US is better for me overall but not for everyone! I miss the UK.

@Lynda Eze how was your salary in the Uk and how much is your salary now that your are US. Let that’s with your income first before you talk about basic amenities if not it just an unrealistic comparison. A Nurse in’s most sorted after in the Uk meanwhile a Nurse in the UK’s biggest Healthcare company pays Nurses £11-12 per hour and pays an ordinary care asterisk £9-10 per hour. If you hear how much US Nurses are paid you won’t even be watching this video. I’m still surprised there is a video like this would comparing incomes.

In UK some nurses are paid more than £15ph and it depends on the band... but an ordinary care worker is paid £10.50ph on the average. But on a general note UK no try abeg, they are just ripping us jare. The best thing is just to be a professional like myself I'm waiting to write my ietls so that I can do my Social Workers in England. So to earn high must also have that qualifications that befits it

I am shocked that @Tochi Esther you are comparing basic things without comparing income. In the UK I check on indeed and u will see the jobs salaries range to be £18,000 to 50,000. Meanwhile in the Indeed USA job salary range from $20,000 to £200,000. Most of my friends who like in the Uk earn minimum of $100,000. In the UK the max my friends earn is £40,0000. So how can you even compare basic amenities when UK pays little compared to the USA. If you earn more you can afford to pay more for comfort. And in the US of you pay more it’s for a reason e.g for accomodation ask the lady what is the size of her house in the US per square metre compared to her house in the UK. Her wardrobe alone could be bigger than your own living room in the US. US is a capitalist country so jobs are very easy to get Uk is just care giver work and other low income jobs that are easy to get. US has more job opportunities because US is a bigger country and a lot me difficult for immigrants to come in, there a lot more companies and the entry level jobs have little or no criteria to get in. @Lynda Eze how was your salary in the Uk and how much is your salary now that your are US. Thanks for this. I was waiting for the income question too. I like Tochi and I think this was an oversight. There are more job opportunities for immigrants and you don’t have to change careers in order to get a job. Many immigrants that went for their masters in the UK still end up doing HCA jobs for sponsorship because they couldn’t get a job in their fields. You would think that making 6 figures is difficult but it’s not in the US and you will still have savings at the end of the month too. Your walk-in closet is a room on it’s own. You can literally sleep in it if you want to.

Exactly but Tochi does a great job here that’s why I said I’m shocked. You can’t even compare UK and US. US is a massive county try where some city’s are as big as a country. So you just can’t compare. Nobody would come to the UK if the US was easier to relocate and permanently status was easy as well. Even Uk school admission and student visa is very easy that’s why people flock in. If US was that easy who’ll you get the same number in the UK. Even US visiting visa is not so easy to get so it’s obvious.

Income is really obvious. It can’t be really compared. Income for nurses can be up to 5x more than a UK nurse. Mentioning it here will just be an addition. Meanwhile you are right, we should have at least mentioned it. US does win when you talk about lifestyle for immigrants in many ways. Good luck everyone 🙏
