Hi. I’ve been diagnosed with keratoconus since age 9(now 31) and feel I’m losing my eyes. Unfortunately there’s no hospital in my country that does corneal cross-linking, corneal transplant or intra-ocular contact lenses. I’d like to know how much these procedures cost so I prepare towards it. Please reply, I need to fix this before it’s too late 🙏🙏🙏
My vision quality was worst after taking up C3R surgery.....even i cant drive my bike during night time .......i had a good vision before surgery but now i am facing lots of prblm after takung up my syrger So is there any chance to get good vision.......becoz i wants to drive bike at night time so plz rply

I've lived with KC since 2004, i'm finally scheduled for a transplant cause i couldn't afford it back the. My cornea is terribly damaged and thats my only option. Alot of people are scared on my behalf but i need this so bad i'm actually glad its finally going to be done... wish me luck🙏

Just got to know about 3 months ago that I had keratoconus. Have got cross linking done in my left eye on Monday which wasn't painful but was uneasy. Following the surgery, I felt pain only till the night and by next day there was no pain. The doctor put a contact lens on my eye(which he said is a protection) that he will supposedly remove a week later after the surgery. But since the surgery has been done, I need to put some medicine drops frequently everyday for a couple of weeks
Sir I am from pakistan I have been diagnosed with asymtric keratoconus in my left eye only in 2011 now my vision is stable but the vision of my right eye is deteriorating every year ....what do you suggest ??I have tried hybrid lenses but I couldn't retain it into my eye because it is hard .....I want to get rid of this.. do you recommend me to go for Cross linkage as doctors here say my cornea is quite clean at this point so I don't need to do that but I want to get rid of glasses and lenses ... Hello doctor. I have been diagnosed with post lasik ectasia, and i got my C3R done 5 months back... But even with rgp lenses... My vision is not good... My left is the better of both the eyes, but lately since 2 months i have started having shadowing and double vision with rgp in both eyes and also nighy vision is almost defective. Very bad. Is this due to c3r recovery? should I wait before my next consultation?
Hey I have a question, I have Keratoconus on both eyes. I’ve been training Martial Arts for almost 2 years now, and my current Eye Doctor said that if I get the corneal transplant… I won’t be able to participate in Martial Arts anymore. I want to know if I do the cross-linking surgery instead, will it make a difference and will I still be able to train Martial Arts in the near future?
@@kingrj2454 I have had kerataconus since age 21 (I am now 29) only reason why I found it is because I got my drivers license and couldn’t see the letters for the eye test . Something was wrong with my left eye . I saw a doctor but never took care of it. It progressed and now it can’t be corrected with glasses. My right eye tried to go bad , but I got surgery 2015 . And it stopped the progression. And hasn’t gotten worst .

Try scleral lens... Visual acuity will be good... Nd try to use OT lights to focus on the surgical field as in keratoconus dark field cause more distortion
Crosslinking doesnt restore your vision. It just helps prevent the keratoconus deformation of the eyeball from progressing. Youll prob need to talk to the doctor about the need the Scleral or Rigid Glass Permeable lenses.
Sir, Please tell me,would it be better to take a mini scleral contact lenses {cost around 90K} in advanced keratoconus non-progressive stage or C3R is the best option for this stage?

If you somehow stumbled axross this video. Please pay attention. I have Keratoconus (prob from rubbing my itchy eyes alot lol) the worst thing about this disease is that it is probably preventable fof most sith Cross Linking.. The downside is that most opticians ive seen were clueless..and never thought to inform a patient about the possibility of it..whether due to irregular astigmatism or the high CYL reading. Further i wouldve never knew til this day if i didnt find the right optician who wasnt just concerned with refraction. In fact i had A RETINA SURGEON TOO. WELL knowledged for the back of the eyes and me even tellin him i wanted to see a Cornea specialist (because you have to get recommend in the USA) he didnt listen because he didnt think it was necessary despite that he is back of the eye guy. I had to yell basically and when i finally got to the Cornea specialist she knew immediately. So please regularly try and get looked at by a Cornea doctor. Im crosslinked one eye but apparently the other eyes cornea is too thin for my surgeon. So ill prob be blind in that eye eventually 😆. Stay safe yall.

How to make a definitive diagnosis of keratoconus? Elevation maps on my pentacam are normal but pachymetry is a bit suggestive of keratoconus ( thinnest point = 468 microns , y= -0.96)

I have already done C3R on my left eye. But my right eye has advanced KC and now I am really struggling. I had been to many cornea specialist and all suggest me that the only option left out for my condition is cornea transplantation. But last time when I diagnosed my eye with a doctor she said corneal transplantation is a long process and better not to go now. Now on my right eye has a white spot and then onwards my eye has almost everyday a burning sensation. I don't know what to do. I really fed up of my eyes and sometimes I feel like to pull out my eyes and throw it. Doctor, if you can help me on my eyes I would really want to have an appointment of you.
Hello brother. I even had Advance KC in my right eye unable to see anything clearly, doctor suggested cornea transplant took around 4 months to get normal feeling started of getting greater vision day by day. On every visit they remove 1-3 sutures and that makes my vision getting more clear. Cornea transplant takes lot of patience. Can't bend down can't wash face for around 20days much more.
Same here,l have the same problem the left eye now has a scar l was cross linked in the right eye but it has messed my life up l was told l deed to go for transplant but l cannot manage as it is very expensive

hello , i have suffered the same diseases . i have done CXL in my right eye . After that the thickness of my cornia will be stopped ( constatnt position ) , but the problem is my vision is increase day by day . in 2017 , (after CXL) my vision was right CYL (-1.50) ,90 LEFT SPH -2.00 ,Cyl (-4.00) 110, (R 6/6,L 6/18) but after 4 years my vision in the left eye is same but the right eye( -3.50) . (R 6/9 , L6/36) increase vision , is it stand a critical situation like transolant cornia ? how can i stopped to increasing my vision ? useing eye glass (using lances felling terrible ) , tearfresh eye drop !

I had consulted a cornea specialist in Guwahati and she said it’s in the early stage and has directed me to give lenses for next 6months. Use mini scleral lens or you can go for ICL.. Life after mini scleral will be awesome... You will feel the same at trials only.. Rgp also good but confort level is not that good... Right now for advanced keratoconus mini scleral are best
I had a CT in 2004 due to KT. It’s been great. I tried contact lenses at first, but I found my eye to be quite sensitive to them. I’ve stuck with glasses since. I’ve had no issues with the graft since I got it. I am finally getting in to do my other eye. If I am not eligible for cross linking, it’ll be another CT.

Hello Doctor , I have suffering Overlapping of lights or expanding of light towards right in my right eye from 1 years and I went to Optometrist And She checked my vision and my expanding image was not reduced with rotating the axis .She told me that It could be symptoms of keratoconus but she said there is no visible cornea thinning and She said to follow up after 6 months She said you should do surgery if keratoconus is progressive ..Does waiting for 6 months does not affect my vision and difficulty in surgery? I am worried if my vision may be worsen.Should I go for Visiting senior opthamalogist ?

I am 47 diagnosed with the eye disease 15 yrs ago. Have had 2 cornea transplants since then. Problem is the disease diseases the donor cornea as well. So I'm back to square one. Glasses or hard contacts does not help either whereas it makes the scars larger. I'm considered legally blind but that being said I'm not completely blind. So what do I do now. Failed my eye exam for the renewal of the driver's license

I had a cornea transplant but it didn't improve my sight much. That was about 8 yrs ago. I was told that once the transplant is done then there is nothing else you can do. Is that true?

Am 29, got C3r done when I was 25 I find the vision is stable till now but from that time am facing issues to drive at night. But when I use rigid lens which was advices by my doctor I can drive at night, would like to know will there be any solution to overcome this without using Rigid lens?
