You speak so well on SPD. You have made it easier for me to connect with my son-in-law. He is in crisis right now but is in therapy. My daughter is carrying the weight right now and I trying to help her. Lucky she is a HCP and she is trying so hard to get her husband help. It has been very difficult. So she is going she a therapist. They only been married 1yr. This breakdown has been his first. Love your videos and you are an angel for trying to explain what is going on in the mind of a person with SPD. Much graditude.
I'm sorry to hear your son-in-law is going through a hard time. It can be so difficult to manage and really affect everything in your life. Best of wishes to your family
What you said about the value of learning about SPD in relation to how it helps all of us understand something about existing as a human is wonderful and highlights something important about valuing neurodivergent people and their insights ^,^ love you friend 💕💕
Blaire you have no idea the enormous blessing you have been to me since I found you on RU-vid! I’ve searched all over for so long and could never find anything or anyone who explained ADULT SPD as efficiently as you have. Please know you have changed the way I think of myself (and I’m 57!). I am now able to give myself a break from comparing my brain to neurotypicals. I am working on trying not to be so hard on myself. It’s helped my husband and Mom understand me better too. I was diagnosed in my mid 30’s and have been misunderstood and labeled my entire life. Maybe with the knowledge and tools you’ve given me, I can get more traction in my life. Covid was great at first bc we were all in the same boat. No one expected anything from me bc no one could go anywhere, but now that everything’s almost back to normal, some things have gotten worse for me. The world can shake off the restrictions we were under, but us SPD’rs have to go back to life with no changes to help us maneuver in a neurotypical world. Your series has helped me so much, so don’t think you haven’t made a difference because you’ve made a life change for me! I hope you’re doing well and things are moving in a good direction for you! I’ve subscribed to your channel so if you post anything again, I’ll get it. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who’s life has been made better after watching your series. Believe me, the work you put into your series on SPD was worth it! 💗
Hi Blair I'm dyslexic 🙃 I stumbled upon your videos and I actually really liked to listen about your point of view/ perspective how you look at the 🌏 what you said about neuro diversity, struggles just to be able to function in " conventional' 🌎... I think somehow/sometimes it's just nice to be different. Greetings from Croatia/Europe
