Is There HOPE for Tomodachi Life? 

People bitch and moan about us not getting a new animal crossing but us Tomodachi Life fans have been waiting for 10 YEARS 💀

I'm always surprised by how huge the demand for Tomodachi Life is, but I'm 100% inside the summoning circle. It's one of the few announcements left for the Switch that would make me really lose my mind, hope it still somehow happens someday

If miitopia can come back so can tomodachi life 😭

Honestly just a port of the first Tomodachi Life with Switch Miitopia's Mii customization would be enough for me. Update: Yeah after thinking about for a bit and replaying the first game some more, I think I'd rather see a sequel that adds tons of new content.

I am BEGGING for not just a port or remake of this game, but a full sequel with a lot of content.

Nintendo gives us Tomadachi Life 2.... with Switch Sportsmates and microtransactions

with the 10th anniversary of tomodachi life being this summer, I would say there's a decent chance we get an announcement in the heavily rumored April Direct

What the new tomodachi life will need if it gets remade; - LGBTQ possibilities - More activities - More problem types to solve - More songs (the best part) - More achievements - Similar if not same character customisation as Miitopia Also I bet the reason why Nintendo hasn't come back eith tomodachi life is because they saw the power they gave us and were scared

I’m SAYING!! Tomodachi Life is one of my favorite Nintendo series, and I know it could work well on the Switch (or the next Nintendo console, at this point). I’ll never stop hoping, but it does hurt having to wait.

the absolute chokehold tomodachi life had on 12 year old me is still present now at 20 (though to a lesser degree) and seeing just a port of it would be a dream come true

I was expecting this to just be a thoughtless "Why won't Nintendo make what I want them to make?!" rant but this was actually really well thought out and had some good points, and wasn't just focused on personal desires. I haven't bought a new Switch game in a while, let alone played the Switch for months, but if there's a Tomodachi Life release on the Switch, that'll change immediately.

I think it’ll be year 1 for the next console. Without Animal Crossing year 1 (we just got Side Order which is made by the AC devs) they’ll want a game to scratch that Animal Crossing life sim itch. Also sooooo many people want a new one, maybe even more than the Pikmin and Metroid fans were pre switch, so a new game would be huge

When Tomodachi Life came out there was a lot of outcry from the queer community because of things like gender and heterosexuality being hard-coded into the game. I genuinely don't think Nintendo is willing to budge OR to court that controversy again, so to them, the best road is to just leave Tomodachi Life in the dust. It sucks but I do genuinely believe that has a lot to do with why we aren't getting another Tomodachi Life.

At this moment we can wait until switch 2 comes out

Tomodachi life is weird man. I loved it

I remember watching Saltydkdan react to the direct that featured the Miitopia announcement and ever since then I've had hope that it'll appear in a direct someday and it doesn't matter how many directs it takes because when it does, us Tomodachi Life fans will unite as one

wii u has to be one of if not my favourite console. `the game library was insane coupled with the fact it was backwards compatible and the coherence between everything with things like miiverse implementation and connection to the 3d was amazing. I think the switch certainly improved on some of this through combining it with a fully handheld functionality but my god the wii u ran so the switch could sprint and honestly though the switch is pretty great and I guess an inevitable evolution, it doesnt have the same charm.

I hope that if Tomadachi Life 2 doesn't come out for the switch, its being held for next system simply for the added customization. Like I can see Miis being revived in a big way with using Miitopia customization as a basis for the new Mii software on the next system. Adding more variety of hairstyles, face details, clothing, stickers/pins, social features, themes etc. If it does come out to switch this year, I'm excited haha hopefully they build upon the miitopia maker and have more clothing, activities, food, song options to write, etc.

I would absolutely buy it, especially if I can transfer my 3ds island over. I would love to see what new expanded content they can put in.

Honestly where the hell is cooking mama? Because the fucking switch barely has any gyroscope function games that are interactivly fun like how it was marketed.

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see Tomodachi life on switch, BUT whenever I see these videos I can't help but wonder how it would actually work on the system. Like can you play docked? where will those menus and apartment icons be? what can they do to make a next title bigger and better? I want to see Nintendo make it because I would love to see how they make it work

I remember struggling to find tomodachi life in stores when it first came out cause of how popular in demand it was.

There is a indie game in development called new day that is very similar to tomodachi life. The demo is on steam (Im actually a staff member on the game hehe)

I had the game on my 3DS but then my 3DS just died without turning on and since I had to redo my room bc my sister moved out I lost the game, it will always be my favourite 3DS game, I've been saving my money (which is hard when I get one shift a week, for one shift means I get 40 something and if its a week end I get 50) I have 283 and the switch oled is on sale for 499 so I might be able to get it in may

I wish that Nintendo can bring back Tomodachi Life on the switch because you can interact with the mii character's which brought life to the 3Ds and player there was so much potential to the game.

i recently started tomodachi life and it's such a silly and funny game, i really wish they'd make a switch version with some extra content. i now understand why it was so popular when it came out and i wish i had played it then!

In my opinion, they SHOULD add Tomodachi Life to the Switch, but I also feel they should add 2DS and 3DS game chips to be able to work on the Switch because I have worked for 10 years, and I don't want to give that up. This brings in more money for Nintendo and will also bring Tomodachi Life, back to its former glory.

If they release a tomodachi life 2 idk if it’s a good idea to bring the miitopia editor because I think that since we can make miis that don't look at all like miis like manga characters etc, it breaks the aesthetic of miis (sorry for bad English)

I've been somewhat interested in this game lately, so if it never ends up getting a port/sequel, I can just mod my 3DS for it (Maybe use one of the mods out there or something, idk).

LITERALLY!! i loved this game growing up, if they can happily remake the pokemon games along with marios and luigis haunted mansion, i pray they decide to remake (and if anything, improve) tomodachi life and ACNL. they deserve their remake imo

Yes Tomodachi Life does still have a chance on the Nintendo Switch since Miitopia is now on Switch and now it's Tomodachi Life's turn to do the same as Miitopia did when it came to Switch and I would feel really excited and happy about it because I hope for that for this month's Nintendo Direct I hope Nintendo and Grezzo are already done finishing the port or sequel for Tomodachi Life to come to switch and not Switch 2 because I don't want to pay that much money for a new console and the game so I hope it comes to Switch and not Switch 2! And hopefully they bring the Miitopia Mii Maker in Tomodachi Life because I really like and love the Miitopia Mii Maker because people make so many good Miis with it and adding details to it to make like characters like Mario, Kirby, Luigi, Bowser, Tiff, Tuff, Escargoon, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, The Smiling Critters, and the Friday Night Funkin Characters like they make them look really good and I just hope they do bring it to Tomodachi Life because the reason why I like it is because in Miitopia online you can ask the person for key code and then you can use it and then you can get the Miis that they created so I hope they can do that as well just like in Miitopia. But let's just hope that Tomodachi Life does come to Switch and not on Switch 2! or before we move to Switch 2.

Things i want in the sequel: •some of those low quality graphics still in there, but mostly high quality graphics. •the same spherical hands (none of this sportmate shit). •some sort of vocaloid type voice bank which is versatile, can be tweaked to anyone's liking and can create an even more uncanny human-like voice for the miis. •those AMAZING personalisation features in the miitopia mii maker. •more activities. •job roles for teen/adult miis. •a movie studio where you can animate your miis and make a film. •a clothing design studio. •mental health checks for miis. •doctors/hospitals where YOU help the doctor heal a mii from their illness. •a "cooking mama" type mini game. •a pet store. •family apartments instead of solo apartments for families (i found that kinda weird in the original game lol) •a bigger island. •newer places. •scarily realistic interactions with the miis like with humans. •choosing specific miis to die when those people in real life pass away. •wedding arrangements. •room personalisation. •helping out with chores for some miis.
