Hope you guys like this one! A little different, but also very much the same :) Please consider subscribing if you do enjoy these videos, seeing that number go up really is a huge motivator - means the absolute world!! ❤️
I'm going through all your vids as I've run out of good camping and nature videos. Your vids are good like the fishing in London upload. But I wish there was less music more nature and less talking
Talking while the video is rolling is fine. Can't stand the selfie talking which I just skip. It's got to be more about visuals without the need to talk. Just serene nature that city dwellers like me crave for
Couldn't get through it. I made 8 attempts he kept hogging the cam every few minutes, oh there's a twig, oh I stepped on the twig, oh the twig broke, oh it's a twig. I just wanted to see nature and some fishing
Make whatever content makes you happy. Not every video will suit everybody, but that's the beauty of diversity of interests, somewhere, someone will love it. Like several of your followers I came via Carl and Alex/Fish with Carl. I followed C&A from the early days, it was their passion and drive to improve that caught my attention more than the fishing. I buzzed when they buzzed, I was gutted for them when disaster struck. Their videos were personal, and that was the biggest hook (pun intended). Yes your videos so far have contained fishing, but the main theme running throughout them has been "Tom sets himself a challenge, and takes us on the journey with him to beat that challenge". Guess what... I'm loving that, and that's why I will keep coming back.
That means the world mate, that’s the kind of content I will always want to make. Outdoor adventures will most likely always be my ‘theme’ but being able hop between passions I think is important to keep it fresh, be that fishing, hiking or otherwise! That said, I really want to make a carp film next so that may well be my next video!
I'm not bothered about the coffee, but exploring new places, the next bend in the river, the lake at the top of a hill, that's what makes life interesting. Nice little film!
I miss fishing in Chichester harbour. I moved to Norfolk a few years back, and it's great catching up here. But there is a place where your soul belongs...
I know it’s a little late in the day, however your question was indeed a good one and got me thinking. Dude i am happy to watch your videos whatever you do. It would be nice to include some sort of fishing as I know this is one of your passions. Although showing cool places off while drinking coffee, or simply hiking somewhere to show off some views. Whatever makes you happy and the fact you are showing that happiness will get you views i’m sure of that. Again awesome video mate 👍
Absolutely would love to see non fishing stuff too. The whole reason I watch Carl and Alex are for the beautiful cinematography and landscaping. The fishing is just a bonus. You guys all have great personalities that meld well with your filming style.
That’s so good to hear, and I really appreciate the kind words!!! I’d love to do some nature photography videos at some point, but put my own slant on it :-)
Brilliant! I really like your style of filming, editing and so on. I became aware of you through Carl's videos and now you have a huge fan from Italy 🙂
As someone said above, Tom, make videos on what makes you happy, not every one has to have fishing it, it's good to watch people explore and do new things.
Hi Tom, amazing video ! Just so you know, you're an amazing camera man and all your videos are great. I've come from Carls fishing channel and love what you are doing here too. Keep up the great work ! 12 videos ? Amazing ! Does it have to be fishing ? No, at the end of the day, if you are passionate about something it will come through on screen. Have a great day 😊
Although not long, your videos are great, you should make more you could honestly grow a lot more than you already have. Good luck on your future videos and trips.
I will be honest its the fishing i come here for, however, the way you put a video together and your likeable personality, i would watch your other videos
It's that honesty that I appreciate! Thank you for the kind words, fishing will always be a mainstay of what I do but I like the idea of trying a few different things this year :)
Great film Tom! Congrats on the Bass. I think just a video about finding somewhere to reflect and making a coffee, to some may not seem like much, but i love doing it as a reset (but not the filming part) and maybe a video about that could be what somebody needs to watch. looking forward to your future content whatever it may be. Cheers ☕️
Thanks Deian :) There's something really important about making the time to have those experiences - if I can provide even a glimmer of that feeling through my videos, that's more than enough for me. Reset is a really good word to use, I completely agree.
Great video Tom, you have a gift, and I feel not filming those 12 videos you proposed would be a real shame, so definately keep at it, and watching this video I've come to realize that the subject of your video (not fishing-ish) doesn't matter as much as your great storytelling. Big ups mate and keep it up!
Those are majorly kind words, thanks mate!!!! All I want is to encourage people to get out there and experience it too, if my videos can do that I'm winning :)
Make the content you want to make, not the content you think you should make for us. I heard someone say that once, or something like that, and I've no idea if it's true lol but it sounds pure and genuine and I will watch whatever you post Tom. I think your videos are beautifully shot and edited and I really enjoyed that. Wish I was there that looked spectacular! And that bass! If it were me that would live longggg in the memory.
haha, there's definitely some truth to it, I think passion comes through the screen and if it's not there people can tell, but I also do want to make things that people want to watch :) If I can do both at the same time, that's a winning recipe! It was awesome, having had the help from the guys on the other rock in the lead up, definitely something I'll aways remember! Portland is definitely worth a visit if you have the ability :)
Saltwater fisherman from New Zealand here, not sure how I ended up following so many fresh water carp fishermen from England. Anyway the two things to look for when fishing salt here is, structure and current. I assume this is a universal principle. Beautifully shot video too.
If you find yourself in the north (Northland), I'd be happy to take you out on my boat. I dare say we could catch something bigger than that bass. @@tomwilshaw
Great vid! I'd certainly watch content of you making a coffee in a cool location or whatever it may be. But don't leave the fishing behind (not that you will!) That bass was awesome btw... Keep up the great work, mate.
Only just discovered your channel (but know your work from Fish with Carl). Usually I can’t be bothered to watch vlogs of some random person‘s life, but your videography and storytelling is so good that I’m pretty sure I’ll watch anything you put on here. Doesn’t have to be fishing, I mean I enjoy Alex‘ channel as well, I think if you can find some middle ground between Carl and Alex - making great videos but not burning yourself out trying to have special fish in all of them - your channel has a bright future. Keep at it, tight lines (and enjoy your coffee)
You've got some amazing production quality and very nice editing. It's insane that you only have 4k subscribers. Good luck with your RU-vid journey! Also curious what's your main cam? Seabass is something I'd love to catch once in my life
Thank you so much :) I hope to grow bit by bit. I use a Canon EOS R as my main cam, I hope to upgrade to something with better low-light one day, but it gets me by!
Yeah get making mate👍 I live on the south coast spend half my time fishing half just exploring and taking it all in just take a rucksack a rod just in case 😂 and see where your feet take you. Often walk from warsash to gosport along the coast and then have a fish get the ferry to Portsmouth and train it back home during the summer it's a great day
Photography always used to come first, filmmaking second - When I started doing the latter as a job I kinda forgot how much I loved taking still images - but that love is very much coming back! Will definitely make a nerdy outdoor coffee film at some point 😁 thank you for the kind words!
Mate, I've said it once and I'll keep on saying it. Only you can make catching 1 small bass so engaging. I really need to pick that big ol brain of yours some more!
I'll certainly take that comparison!! Love his stuff, and oh don't worry... A lot of my year's going to be spent chasing carp at a certain res 😇 Thanks Kristian!
