Is there No Dhruv Rathee in Pakistan? - The Pakistan Confusion 

Those who are comparing Dhruv Rathee to Syed Muzammil need to know a few basic facts: 1) Syed Muzammil is an establishment tout; Rathee has confronted the Indian establishment head-on. 2) Muzammil is part of what Rathee calls "Godi Media" - a term used to refer to the mainstream electronic media in the sub-continent that is completely hijacked by the fascist governments in both countries. Dhruv Rathee, on the other hand, is an independent RU-vidr and journalist, who has nothing to benefit from the Indian government. 3) Rathee sides with the common man; Muzammil sides with the ruling elite. Most importantly, what sets Rathee apart from other journalists and RU-vidrs is his ability to contextualize facts; not just present them as is. People like Muzammil just parrot back information they read from Western literature, having no ability to analyze and contextualize that information in local context. They just read history, without the ability to learn from it. Knowledge without perspective is of no use. Conclusion: If you really want to compare Rathee with someone from Pakistan, compare him with an independent journalist, like Wajahat Khan or Jehad, not a state tout and a Western puppet like Muzammil.

As an indian 🇮🇳 I think Mr syed Muzammil sir is way more knowledgeable, courageous, rational person in whole indian subcontinent. Always pleasure to listen him 🙏. A very good analysis sir. Ever since our childhood, we have been listening to the historic characters ie mir jafir and mir sadiq. If I further translate it into punjabi for simplicity let me say that kutiya choron se mili hui he. Sometimes kutiya performs the role of a thief and sometimes a thief becomes a kutiya. In the analysis, dhruv rathee and many more like him are staunch believers in their country, nation and in the overall larger interest of the state whereas in Pakistan there are several people working as a mouthpiece of the influential people to promote their interests with a few exceptions no doubt. In Pakistan, the loyalties of politicians are compromised, the media is highly commercialized where everything is for sale, different kinds of educational systems are compromised, judiciary has yet to confirm its legitimacy and independence in making decisions of National significance, bureaucracy is not doing its due role for the betterment of the country, the role played by the army of generals due to frequent intervention in political affairs has directly or indirectly produced nothing less than frustration and nothing more than gloomy future and resultantly shaped mindset of the masses for shortsightedness. Just look at the Pakistan's relationship with its neighbors. Apart from china, we don't enjoy friendly relationship either with iran, or india or even Afghanistan. What is more embarrassing is that previous governments failed to install industries across the country. To cut a long story short, we have lagged far behind almost on every front within the country as well as regionally and also on international forums. Most of the Pakistani youth which was supposed to excel in contributing development of Pakistan is waiting for getting a job of reasonable salary. Pakistani nation is in search of its identity from what they are to what should they be like.

1.Syed Muzamil has questioned ( though not as often as Dhruv) your establishment but he also knows what will happen if he went extra mile. 2. Dhruv lives in Germany and Muzamil stays in lumber 1 country so it's way more difficult for Muzamil to go to Dhruv's length and breadth to criticise your establishment. 3. Had it even be Dhruv in your country u people would have had declared him " ghustakh e rasool" and he would have been dead by now. I follow thruv last 4 years and i said that Pakistan also has alot of content creator on social issue like junaid akram,muzamil ali, Wajahat khan, faisal waraich and some social education topics like zemtv but there is not freedam of speech on positive and negative creaticism thats the main issue i think in Pakistan and also the education rates is very low quality as well.
