Finally, an actual home. This is something you can feel relaxed entering after a day’s work. Not so modern it looks like a marvel villain’s lair, but still updated with historic touches. Love it Erik, please do more homes like this in New York!!!
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@@Elliot-Ivan The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
If I had the money, I would buy this in a heartbeat. No matter how fancy those 24 million homes are in Manhattan, nothing beats a nice garden and a homey feeling.
You should always do a full tour to every home you do. I love how the floor plan is also shown too. Next time you do homes do tours, show us every room. We are fine with videos four times longer than these or even an hour long
This tour is refreshing! You should definitely tour more townhouses. This house is cozy and homey, it has a lot of character and personality. The skylights, the natural light and THAT backyard, I mean... Tons of green and the trees surrounding the house is the perfect touch. With a nice renovation you can get the full potential of this beautiful home!
I’m so shocked this home is in the market. It’s perfect! Location:excellent. Street:beautiful. Back yard:EPIC. Home:stunning, well appointed and grand. What is there NOT to love?
There is something about a Brooklyn brownstone. This one is BEAUTIFUL!!! So much space and yet homey. Parents of friends of mine owned a brownstone back in the 80s. My friends lived on the top floor. The views from their floor were amazing. It was the smallest of the floors, which is why they had it, but I absolutely loved it. Yes please show ALL the areas. I really enjoyed this one, felt like a family could live there.
The townhouse entry is classic with a traditional flare. It is impeccably designed and maintained. The 6 fireplaces are EVERYTHING a fav feature they are cozy and romantic, beautiful. The home is simply what we call "grand-gorgeous"..from the inside out. Lots of spaces to hide away in. Sheer elegance. Thanks for the tour Erik....thanks Anthony much success!
I was like “I love it all but I need sunlight in the morning”…then he walked into the master bedroom and I think my heart stopped. I am not a city person, used to the country but now moving to the city and adjusting to the pros/cons. BUT this place is absolutely stunning. Never felt I wanted to live somewhere so bad. This is a great reminder of why I have goals.
This looks so homely, one of the most realistic places you’ve toured as somewhere people would actually enjoy living and not just a show piece. One question though, why is this called an apartment and not a house when it has so many floors?
@@angelicaplummer4691 A Google check says anything between 6'3" and 6'6". He looks about 6'4" to me personally. I'm well over 6 foot as a female so I tend to notice these things haha
This is a truely beautiful house. Renovated with thought and keeping the fireplaces is wonderful. Best value for the money in my opinion so far. I'm sure whoever bought this is very happy.
I’m obsessed with the master bedroom and the windows. And the extra apartment on the ground floor is so cute. If I ever live in New York I’d buy this place.
This reminds me of my Aunt's house, at least the bones of it. She lived in Brooklyn not too far from Prospect Park and that backyard in particular looked very familiar. Of course her home, from when I was there was very run down and that was back in the late 70's to early 80's, though she lived there until 2004. It is amazing to think that her place could look like this home, but I imagine someone with a good vision would be able do something similar. Thanks for the video, it brought back a wave of memories!
Looks cozy! What I don't understand though is the NY prices, personally I'd never pay 6.5 million for a townhouse that size, but I guess that's just NY. Oh and I don't even have 6.5 million laying around😂 beautiful home though.
Nice. Love all the fireplaces! Lots of character. It does have a warm feeling to it. Your presence in these videos make it much more. They are lucky to have you do the visual tours. Well done!
It’s lovely! I’m certain it’s sold by now as I just discovered this video. My only issues are neighboring townhouses/people looking right back at you given the close proximity…and no alleys to facilitate garage access for parking. Perhaps New Yorkers are just accepting of this and it’s no big deal. Overall, I’m still charmed! 😍
The townhouse of my dreams!! It's perfect! The dog is so cute and I love the little guest apartment too, the only criticism is the top floor sloping ceiling seems a tad low for those blessed with Erik's height 😅
No-one lives in these homes. IM FROM NY. They are bought as real estate investments and often sit empty. 99.9 % of people cannot afford to live their and with the state of NY right now would not want to. Also Brooklyn is not Manhattan.
If it doesn't have stairs in front, it ain't Brooklyn ! One thing American movies teach you :) Love the landing pillar on that staircase inside. The multi-floor skylight leading the light (leet the sunshine , lereeeet the sunshine in, the sunshine ! in ! ♫ ) is a damn clever feature ! The bathroom on top floor is impressive thing too, just for the effort to construct and finish it like this. Thank you Anthony for inviting Erik to tour this property for us !
This place is a dream in a big city, wow! Yes, please show everything when you tour a house. I love seeing homes and I'm curious about not only the living spaces but the utility spaces - probably so I can imagine myself casually popping a load of laundry on then shuffling back to the movie room in my alternate universe life. haha!
This place is such a dream! I'll take the tiny bedroom if it means I can live in this house. Lots of great design inspiration. Love that it's both practical and beautiful.
Nice video very engaging from beginning to the end. Nevertheless putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for
@@mackzack297 It is also possible to produce superior performance provided you do something different from the majority. However, most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market than to the cost of proper diversification.
The market is seeing one of selloffs since 2020, sparking panic among people and raising questions about why crypto prices have been increasingly sensitive to gyrations.
If you’ve decided to invest in the cryptocurrency market, it’s important, as with any other investment, to do your research. explore what you should know before you invest.
I would not pay 6.5M to be attached to my neighbors on both sides while looking at fire escape views in my back yard. If you like mountain climbing then this fits the bill with the amount of stairs you have to climb EVERY DAY. Finally, despite 5000 sq feet of living space it looks and feels cramped. Some would probably see it as being "cozy". Not my idea of luxurious living but you would have to love being in the city at ANY cost I suppose. Definitely not my cup of tea.....Give me panoramic ocean views, one level living with all of the amenities and a few acres of land and I would call that heaven on earth.
Cool Brownstone house. When you think of New York houses, that's still one of the first things you think about. So, question. And this may be country specific: why is this called an appartment? I'd call this a house. It would be a house over here in the Netherlands. The basement appartment would be a flat or appartment to us. Do people in the US call any home that's not freestanding an appartment? Or is it because the building is split in two seperate units?
I don't think most real estate is worth some of the asking prices and although this is a huge amount of money it's honestly a lot nicer than I gave it credit for, the choices for the design are pretty nice, I love those pocket doors and the outdoor space is very nice. I like having multiple fireplaces as well :)
Do not like the gray at all, these are historical buildings and should be restored. This excuse me please BS if black, grey in no way shows the history of this building.
Definitely like full tours , As well as mini back stories. They got that bathtub at the top floor into the house. Enjoy the video like what the people came up with. Thank you for sharing.
