That's Great to hear man 🤔I've got a 2015 Black Turbo 32,000 . Also to anyone reading this my brother had a vitamin C NON Turbo that had a motor problem. Hyundai told him it was in the manufacturing of the motor not his fault. Turns out 2011 to possibly 13 Non turbos had this issue. They were putting new motors in them. Also the Non turbos are quite a bit slower obviously then a turbo so it all depends on what you want. These little cars are Great especially for the money with the turbo and technology you get .
@@williamjohnson6517 The turbo version of the G4GJ motor had a forged connecting rods. And other changes to the motor to make it tougher. Also yeah the manufacturer left metal parts in the engine but this didn't affect the turbo version that much. The biggest issue with the older 2013 models was poor fuel management. This would cause fuel to explode early causing engine knock and destroying the engine. But yeah 2014+ never have this issue.
I have a 2016 turbo Veloster. I randomly bought it when I was looking for a mustang. The salesman had a focus ST and talked me into driving the Veloster. I feel in love with it. Definitely the most unique car I’ve ever owned. I never expected to buy such a small car. It’s very fun to drive. 😊
I have a 2013 Veloster Turbo with 132k miles and counting. Original everything except the BOV and Brembo Brakes. Now thinking of getting more out of it and start some real upgrades. Fantastic Car IMHO. 👍🏽
I have a 2013 Veloster Turbo vitamin C with 125k on it and love it! Its a 6peed manual with custom solo performance exhaust and 4inch cone air routed to the front grill. I deleted the cat and resonator and have made a custom from grill that says V Raptor on it as well as custom under hood lighting that shines into the front headlight housing when the hood is down. I also upgraded to Bose in my door speakers and added a switch to turn off my rev dampening so it feels more like an original standard transmission. I Absolutely enjoy this car and I get a lot of comments about it as well as lots of people wanting to race it lol. Next up is a tune!👍
Just bought my Veloster Turbo, 2016 30k miles. such a beautiful find. i LOVE this car. I learned how to drive manual in it. Such a nice car. lets see more Velosters!
Absolute hidden gem ☝️😁 I have owned my 2016 Veloster SR Turbo for a year now and initially got it at 40k. Was deciding between this and a VW Golf and I'm so glad I went with this car, haven't regretted it since.
I've got one ! 2015 Black Turbo absolutely love it and I've never owned a car that gets SO many looks . It's got some chrome on it but I did the wheels ( black textured from Home Depot it has a silver flake in it) that I also put on the sides and front. Also where the rear large reflectors are they are now flashing brake / running lights.I also put low beam Hid s in and run Mobile 1 0-30 and a K+N air filter. I'd like the extra 74 BHP the N offers but honestly they drummed down the more in your face design of the older model.Ive also put led mood lights in the cabin.
I own the 2016 Veloster Turbo and the fake hood vents where removed after 2015 models which I’m glad they did lol. Also for the 2016 models and above is when they introduced the 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. For the 2015 models and under, their automatic transmission is traditional 6-speed automatic non dual clutch. Which was the main reason why I made sure to get the 2016 over the 2015 and under specifically for the 7-speed dual clutch auto. It’s not the best tho, it has its moments where it tries to figure out if you are wanting more power and it will lag unless you shift the gears manually with the paddles. Haha it’s not the best but for a first generation dual clutch it still runs like butter and keeps a smile on my face!
I have a 2013 turbo and a custom front grill I put together that says V Raptor on it actually! Had a motorcyclist taking a picture of it once to show His buddy who just bought a Veloster.
prob for me, i will give it some Tein Coilovers, Brembo brake systems and sticky tires And an intake and exhaust upgrade plus a tune to get more out of the Veloster.
I’m 15 and I just got my 2015 velouter turbo 6 speed manual. I freaking love it even though I can’t drive it for a month cause I don’t have my permit yet. I love the style and I just overall think it’s underrated
@@mike.soto_ Lol i guess you see what i did there. I hate when i see someone put their young age and think someone is suppose to be impressed knowing damn well he didn't buy that himself. He should've just said im 15 and my parents bought me one to if he was goin to put his age. We don't give a shit how old you are. The video is about the car not your age lol. Feel what im saying Mike?
I recently discovered the Veloster and really like performance, price and quality. Never thought I would consider a car built in Korea but I'am looking to buy a Veloster.
I used to have the first gen before the turbo came out and i love it now i just got the 2020 Veloster N and this is to another level.....good review!!!!
I feel like the veloster turbo are under appreciated, it has a dct tranny, Bose sound system, good handling, paddle shifters, I might consider buy one as my first car
@@RaitisRides I found your station because of my recent acquisition, a 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport, I'm here because your passion for cars is there and your not afraid to say what you don't like and it's been spot on so far😉
hello joe !! I am in the process of purchasing a 2013 1.6 liter veloster. Have you heard something negative or is it a good vehicle that year. Thank you!!
@@RaitisRides my limited was waxed fir the second time in the 3 weeks I've owned it and since its sunny out the family went out and took a drive to the hospital to see mom
I have different kinds of reviews depending where I am at. Most of my reviews at car gatherings and shows will be quickie style reviews. There are almost 600 reviews on the channel so not everyone can be a full in-depth review
so i have a question, i’m in love with this car but i’m not sure which one to get for my first car cause there’s so many different options with positives and negatives about them could you help me decide which one is like overall the most reliable with Driveability and looks please.
Hey what's happening Joel I did have a 2015 Hyundai veloster turbo it's a six speed manual transmission how ever another driver t bone me he was driving a mini cooper but I bought a 2020 Hyundai veloster turbo r spec I've changed out the Mufflers and exhaust tips and I've changed out the spoiler my friend bought a Hyundai veloster ultimate and he bought a veloster N spoiler and he trade it for a Hyundai veloster N & he sold his spoiler n & he helped me install it & he changed out the spoiler it's all carbon & he bought a carbon fiber hood it's awesome 👋👍🚘🙂♥️
I like how the turbo model has so many purposeful and dedicated parts to identify it as their turbo model. Can't wait until Hyundai comes out with their T-Rex. lol What's up with yellow C7 with the plate METH7?
If you want performance I would check out 454chuy on instagram he does throttle body porting and manifold porting at a pretty good price and he has dyno proof backing his work. If you want interior modding i'd do some carbon wrap or even real carbon fiber parts if there is any available for the veloster. Its a really good car to modify and fun.
I'm thinking about buying a veloster turbo but I'm concerned about the reliability on them does anyone know if they last? My other option is a 2015 scion TC
I have exactly the same 2016 years old veloster, tell me please, what u used to paint the "Hyundai" and "turbo"? Is it black or grey chrome? Did u use plasti dip?
Raiti's Rides appreciate it , love watching your videos , i really hope they come out with a 3rd genesis coupe with a better face lift , what do you think ?
Your video didn t tell if it was a GOOD car to modify, you just read the specs, and showed another dudes car... i kinda lost 5 mins of my life on this 😂
201 hp stock, basic bolt-ons and a tune will get you to 250hp. Doesn't sound like much, but it's such a light car that you don't need a ton of power to have fun in it.
