I don't know if anyone else noticed, but I thought it was totally awesome that Addy was being such a good older sister, and found it suspicious that Lincoln was chewing something when they hadn't eaten recently... and her suspicion possibly prevented Lincoln from swallowing a penny... Go Addy!
TheJfranco9 you must not be married or have kids. Why the hell do people think that when you get married/have kids, you have more sex? Completely opposite. Hell that washing machine will give him more sex than he's had in the past decade.
I gave my wife (then GF) a vacuum for her birthday and she not only didn't castrate me but she appreciated it. I married that woman 3 months later. Still together 8 years later.
Matt your message at the end really helped! this is my first year away from wife and family, due to the fact that I'm in Japan with the USMC. Thank you! Keep up the great view on life, and great videos. Merry Christmas!
Might be your personality, appearance, or how you come across to other people because i'm Puerto Rican and everyone is nice and treats me with respect everywhere I go.
I spent this Christmas sleeping in my car and not having a home to be in. it's been a tough year, especially these last 3 months but no matter what I'm grateful to my friends who have helped me, and im greatful for you mat because you do inspire alot of people. I hope to one day have a beautiful family like you. Merry Christmas to you and a happy new year!
You made your wife put up with that annoying washing machine noise for a year while you bought yourself a gun safe, guns, and other boy toys????? And then you finally buy it for her Xmas gift???
I just want to thank you for that message at the end. It's august, 2 years after you made this vid and not Christmas at all but. I hope (and don't hope) other people needed to hear that as much as I did, because I haven't heard that sort of genuine, positive message in what feels like a very long time. Thank you.
Feel for Annie, when I was around 7 or 8 the guys in my family went out to eat and we got desert and my grandpa said, "now Zach make sure you don't tell the girls we had desert, okay". We get back to my grand parents house and my mom asks how was our burgers, I exclaim," awesome and the ice cream was great too". Nine years later I still haven't lived it down...
It needs a matching dryer and then MAYBE it can be considered a present. She is such a wonderful mom/wife/person in general that I would like to think she deserves a special treat on Christmas. That being said you are a wonderful dad/husband/person. Keep up the good work!
That's pretty cool. What a great mother. I guess by the time I comment this you are in your new home. I hope everything goes amazing for you at your new place.
Merry Christmas to you, Meredith, Ali, Adi, Ani, Lincoln, Dozer and the cats - best of wishes for a super happy time for you all today (beaming in from Australia at 11pm on Christmas day right now) and a whole lot of prayers for a safe New Year
That's something you get along with a present. Get her something nice that she will actually like along with the new washer. Ones a gift one is Practical.
Matt, Matt, Matt! Washing machine? I'm sure Mere is uber thankful, but even if it's just a small, sentimental, not even expensive thing...give her something personal that shows her you love her and not just something that will give you clean clothes and doesn't require sound canceling ear muffs! Merry Christmas, to you and the beautiful fam!
Hey Matt! Probably won't see this but may as well, the washing machine problem is an easy fix. The same problem was happening with the work one and we changed the water level on it and now it works fine, no noises!
I''m so disappointed in you Mr Matt. 😳Your wife deserves a present not a house appliance! I follow you everywhere but you were more excited about the gun than your wife's present. Soooooo disappointed. I'd slap you if you were in front of me..... buy your wife a proper gift!!
***** LOL My wife specifically said she would either "beat me or withhold sex for a year" if I bought her jewelry. I asked her to beat me, then she said she'll withhold sex then. I love my wife and I WILL NOT buy her jewelry!
My husband got me a dishwasher last year for Christmas, best gift ever. We women with kids and what not LOVE those types of gifts. She's gonna be thrilled to have a new washer. That noice would KILL me. Merry Christmas to you all!
I think it is not centered because he wants another one from hes 2nd channel channel next to it tho. pretty sure he mentioned it at some times. But my memory fails at times now a days :P Funny part is hes wife thinks like you ocd wise on matters like this, so she most love to be in that room haha.
What's that old joke? Ladies, if a guy says he'll fix the washing machine, there's no need to remind him every six months. He'll eventually buy a new one :)
My husband pulled that on me ...ONCE...he is an avid cyclist, and was wanting a new bike so on his birthday I bought myself a brand NEW bicycle😝. He is a fast learner
Loved your hiding the knife. My buddy and I had to hide ours when we were visiting some place. Hid them under a couple of rocks. Wash machine for Christmas? C'mon, you can do much better than that. How about a day at a spa or something she would like. My wife almost left me one year when I bought her a vacuum cleaner. I learned/wised up after that.
I got a new washer and dryer for Christmas about 12 years ago. I acted excited, but I WAS PISSED OFF! They are still making it happen however, all theses years later...fingers crossed! 🤪🤪🤪
Wow. Apparently newly weds have a thing or two to learn about christmas = married life. Single folk dont have/wouldnt have a clue. Also, who are we to judge what they do for christmas? I bought and installed a closet system for my wife, she bought a new fridge "for me", but its really for us. She was stoke, I was stoked. Do I care what anyone else thinks about our gifts? Matt, been watching for quite a while. Finally got the wife to watch the christmas light episode of off the ranch, now she knows exactly why i like your vids.
Cowhide. It will make a perfect rug in the room. My wife wanted on so that was one of her Christmas presents. And I've got to say it looks pretty good on the hard wood
I think the washer is a necessary buy, but I would've bought like a bunch of bath bombs or fragrances with it just as a honey bunny kind of gift. It being mere, brand new running shoes would've been awesome with the washing machine. Fo shizzles.
I have been missing Dr. Matt at Vet Ranch. He is having lots of fun showing us the rest of his life, which is interesting and enjoyable, but it seems like he's finished with Vet Ranch videos. I hope he gets the urge to go back for some healing of pets and helping find new homes for them.
I don't have much family to speak of, but I teach music, and I have some of the worlds greatest students from about eight years old to parents who take lessons at the same time as their kids take piano, voice, sax, or violin.
I love how all the women in the comment section on this video are so pathetic lol. We all know women don't know what love is and only know value behind diamonds and worthless crap like that . Just too funny xD
Matt, I just talked with my wife and both her and I agree that a washer is not a present. Also, why aren't you replacing the dryer as well? Better to get a matching set then to have one nice brand new washer next to an old dryer. However... I think you're trolling us as the video title suggests that you know yourself that it's not a good present. I expect you to tell us all "JK!" in the next video and tell us what you really got her.
Yes, it's an awkward gift :P. Get her something extra that she doesn't actually 'need' for daily housekeeping ;). Washing clothes isn't a hobby like shooting guns is, you know :P
Its amazing how responsive people are (including "civil servants") when one is genuine, and nice Also, like you are Matt! I'd Notarize for free for you too : ) We love you too, you're good people. You can tell you love people too. One of the reasons why your family, vet and demo channels are so successful.
I had the same washer issue. It was a slow leaking seal which destroyed the beairing at the bottom of the tub. It was 12 bucks in seal and bearing and about an hour. Prolly need a new one anyway lol. I had already bought a new one then fixed and gave it to a person in need. Note, use of bleach caused the failure.

A washing machine is definitely a bad gift - it's not personal at all - it's used by the whole family - so unless it is FOR the whole family... it's a BAD PRESENT! :( How would you feel if your wife bought you a toilet for Christmas - cuz ur house/family needs one, or it's broken? Know what I mean? ;)
Sometime when you get older you'll realize it's not always about the material things. You don't need more "stuff" Things for your family and home are way more realistic and practical.
If I had a broken toilet and my wife when I get one got me a new toilet.....that is true love right there....who the hell wants to use a broken toilet.
As a wife and mom, I would personally love a new washer for a gift. I do think she should have gotten a new one way before this, if you think about it, if you had a gun not working great, but still shooting, I can take a huge guess that you would not think twice about replacing it. A washer to a homemaker whether it be a dad or mom, is a crucial peace of equipment. With kids she uses it almost daily. To make it up to her maybe get her a dryer to match, lol. Just speaking from a mommy perspective, love your family, love your videos, thank you for sharing part of your life with us all.
Its all Southern Charm and hospitality, folks in Texas are very polite for the most part. Trust me if that was L.A. or Denver it would be totally different
