I found this weird looking "Lego" in a thrift shop and HAD to check out. This is what Lego Friends looked like before it was, well, Lego Friends. And I have to say what we have now is so much better, but this set has some unique parts that I was really excited to see. The Lego Belville range is dollhouse sized, and this set - Sunshine Home - is a cute dollhouse home but made out of Lego. Almost all the pieces were there and it was super fun to build something different from years in the past 😱

this is such a huge nostalgia bomb for me, I totally forgot this existed until recently but now it's the first lego set I remember as being specifically mine and not just lego that we own (ofc my first lego is girly ugh), I must have built and rebuilt this so many times, was really proud of myself when I was like "wasn't there a book?" and then 2 mins later, boom, a book

I have been aware of Belville since the 90s but this is the first time I've ever seen anyone build a Belville set. So cool! And maybe it's because I've been familiar with the theme that I don't find it weird at all 😃

Belville was such an oddball theme. We had some sets, but the ones before LEGO remolded the belville figs (arms had elbow articulation, and the faces were less freaky I find). I actually quite like those, because they are SYSTEM compatible, and they could be seen as giants to minifigs. This theme actually brought us some nice LEGO parts that are still used today!

Hi, i remember Lego Belville, i owned a lot of the sets, at the time they were awesome!, but Lego Friends are the BEST!, I saw this set back in 2008, but cant remember the nice marbled bowl, the pink chair and water jug is from the 'FABULAND' theme, my all time favourite theme :)

I was just going to comment about the watering can too. I had a green one that came with a lamb Fabuland figure. Now my little boy gets to play with my old sets when he visits grandmas. Fabuland was soo great and unisex too. It's a shame it was discontinued.

Haha, i actually owned a belville set, and used to look at this exact set in the lego magazines... then lego friends came around and i completely lost interest in my old belville set😂😂 it still sits around somewhere😅 But yeah, lego friends was a definite improvement, especially since the ginormous scale made the belville sets very impractical to buid with/for

This was epic from start to finish. I loves seeing this especially because this seems either older than my childhood or perhaps it was just one of those sets that never got any spotlight back in the day. I LOVED the Belville series when I was young!! I still have a massive collection. They were much more like a dollhouse series with families and houses.
