I’m so excited! I bought that guitar a couple months ago with the intention of modifying it. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!

I got a Special about 6 month ago. I upgraded the wiring with PIO caps, better Bourn pots, a Faber wraparound bridge and Wolfetone Mean and Meaner pickups. Man does this guitar punch above its weight. Plus, I only paid $359 for it!!!

Those new Epiphones are incredible. I've got an SG with the same pickups as that yellow LP. Great sound, I've upgraded the pickups twice, and gone back to the original Epiphone ones

Excellent choice! I had one of those but sold it and another guitar or two last year to help fund an expensive acoustic guitar purchase but I REALLY didn't want to part with this one in particular.

Fell in love with p90's since the first time i heard social distortion ( thanks Mike). The 50's wiring brought out everything from their sound and made it even better. This video was rad thanks will definitely be checking out more of them

I bought this guitar new about a year after they first came out specifically to mod it (bridge, pups, etc). It was dirt cheap and the quality of it blew me away. Perfect intonation all the way up the neck out of the box despite having a non compensated bridge. Nice beefy neck. Pickups are perfectly fine. Really no need to mod it but I put some Fishman Greg Koch p90s in there (which cost more than the entire guitar I think). The added versatility of the Kochs (they have several different voicing accessed via push pull pots) as well as their being noiseless is great and they make this guitar truly killer. But even without the mod, this is an immense amount of guitar for the money. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

I like very much the Special model and the 54 Goldtop, for me P90 and wraparound bridge is the way to go on Gibson Les Paul. Simple and honest guitars. I have the Custom Shop ‘57 reissue TV Yellow, it’s an amazing instrument, and light. Even sounds like an acoustic when recording unplugged

I had one of these for a few months and it was great. I changed the bridge, wiring and pickups, and had a bone nut installed. Then I sold it and bought an Edwards that looks just like it. I threw some Gibson P-90s in it and never looked back. The Epiphone is nice, but the Edwards just blew it away!

I bought a Les Paul Special Tribute s/h for $1k and rewired it with push/pull pots to switch between 50s and modern wiring. I also added a blower switch which is awesome. Best value for money guitar I've ever bought. Eastman is also awesome!
