Greetings Mr. Moon, I do not have access to IG nor TikTok. My cousin sent me one of your reels on bibles in which you stated you would read a verse upon request. I ask, if you could read or share Isaiah 41:10 from your oldest collection. Thank you!!
The value in money is quite different from value to the individual who wants the item and why they value it. I think that seems to be the case with lots of different antiques.
A 1629 KJV Bible with a well-done leather 1970's rebind just sold on eBay yesterday. It started at 99 cents and ended around $700. But, I don't know what those are worth.
Thanks for this, fascinating stuff. Is there any demand from rebinders for 1800"s Bibles? I have many that the text block is beautiful but the covers are crumbling away. Is there a market for those?
Sometimes people need the money, sometimes it is not really a family heirloom, or perhaps they don't find it to be of value. If the family doesn't care for it, might as well allow other people to have it who will, rather than discarding it in a corner or passing it down until no one knows the significance anymore and throws it away even.
