I know, right? I really wanted to switch to that outfit much earlier. The LEAST they could do is add in some alternate colors of all of the outfits… Preferably for free OR just gold and not some rare, difficult to obtain items. It’s a shame we are stuck with so few options for the majority of the game.

That's actually more than most farming sims get when it comes to DLC. Usually it's just a couple outfits. That's pretty cool. I'll wait for a sale, but I'm keeping an eye out for this game.

Really hate that about this game, got the DLC mainly for the new outfit due to the lack of any sets really in the base game, I don't understand why they thought it was a good idea to barely have any clothes in game. I'm getting the set right at the end of my playthrough, what's even the point?

Yes, I really wish we could change our outfits earlier! Definitely something that Natsume can work on in future games (or maybe even patches for this game?).

The most annoying thing for me is having to finish the main story of the game to be able to use the DLC, I'm still stuck collecting mineral in the volcano because it uses up a lot of energy and it's a labyrinth. thanks for the information

The Sasquatches are all so cute! And when you choose one as your mount, your character has a unique riding motion! And yeah, I love Harvestella as well! Glad that you have been enjoying that game.

I'm loving the game almost done with the main story then I realized you need 100,000 dollars so I have to work on that. I chose Neil funny because before I got the game I wasn't sure they made him seem lazy but what I love about this game and we'll most harvest moon games the more you get to know them they are way more than their character bios. Ones I have completed everything I'm gonna move to Herbstburg fall all the time sign me up if I could live in fall weather forever I would lol. I got the animal dlc I'm not sure about this one I mean I think once I have completed mostly everything and got the other dlc packs I'll get this one last more interested in the tool upgrades and what not. But new characters why not may as well get the full experience with this game.

Thanks for the video! I'm so disappointed at the 2nd dlc :( The fact that not only can you not romance the characters until you're basically done with everything, but you can't even wear the new outfit until then either?! That's such a bad design choice. That should have been mid-game content not end-game content. Usually by then I'm already getting tired of the game :/ I have the DLC but I've been taking a break because I'm trying to finish up Persona 5 Royal before it leaves gamepass and was looking forward to the new outfit and characters :(

Haha, wow, you and I do have very similar stances! I can accept a lot of Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos’s minor faults, but in my mind the DLC outfit being SO HARD to obtain is borderline unacceptable. Like, what am I even gonna do once I obtain it? I’ve already completed all of the storyline and obtained some of the rarest items in the game… Also, if I were to start another file, I wouldn’t be able to use that outfit until I do it all again… So annoying.

I really think this game got more criticism than it deserved. There are definitely some parts that could have been streamlined and/or explained more clearly. I definitely needed guides along the way. But I’m also 60 hours in, still haven’t met the requirements to be married, don’t have all my towns at 5 stars…there’s so much more to do still! And the farming has so much depth to it with the different locations and fertilizers…honestly, I’m having way more fun with Winds of Anthos than I had with PoOT. And the marriage candidates were all very well done; I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them. I also don’t mind fetch quests, since it helps me organize my time and gives me an excuse to explore. I was skeptical at first like everyone else, so I only bought the base game initially. But by the time I was 20 hours in, I knew I wanted the extra content of the season pass, partially because of the video you made about the Animal Avalanche pack! And I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be able to make my house purple. Since it’s the color of Herbstburg, I really think that should have been available in the main game. But it’s a minor complaint overall.

It's definitely better that PoOT, especially if you take into account how bad it was at launch, and how broken it was on PC (and still is for many). Don't really know if I'd say that's all that big of an achievement, but at least Anthos isn't last? Both are inferior to Coral Island, Cornucopia, or Sun Haven.

The main reason I play these games it to get married, half of my time in game is stocking up gifts for my marriage candidate until I can give them a gift every day and marry them. I love befriend villagers and seeing heart events so I was really looking forward to the new Bachelorette due to most of the bacheloettes kinda being mid. I am glad I purchased it in the long run but I don't think I'll complete the game AND marry her at the very very end when every thing is done and over with. I am glad I bought the DLC because I do like the world and running around is fun when you're able to actually doing stuff on your own, so having something after the late game is done is a great idea. (Though I admit, I wish the villagers had more dialogue when talking and giving gifts. It might just be because I am still in early game but the same responses are killing me). I'll probably marry her in like a challenge mode to myself but not my first playthrough. Oh well. At least I get to get a pet ferret!

I got the whole DLC and I'm super happy with it. I don't mind waiting for each installment because while waiting there is a ton of quests to keep you busy. I've finished the main story and have the new town going can't wait for more! Thanks for the video always enjoy them

If you like the game, just go for it! I was slightly disappointed, but it does add some longevity to the game, so it’s worth it in that sense.

I think they should left this one to be the last DLC released since it's a post game story and let the one about new recipes... vegetals and stuff to be released earlier instead. It is a strange choice to put a story driven extra content that is clearlt difficult soon after the game is released and mostly people are still trying to finish the story. And im wondering if in this new City, the store will sell exclusive stuff such as new animals or rare things... also is there a good and large place for the farm in this city...? it would be kinda disappointing that this City is not that special 😢

The stores in Verne do not sell a lot of exclusive stuff, I think it is just some food. They do sell some things that were previously exclusive to other towns, which is convenient if you are living in the plot next to Verne. The plot next to Verne is one of the biggest in the game, and the location is beautiful. It overlooks the Crescent Moon Falls.

I really enjoyed it! It’s not a typical farming game though; it’s a farming sim set in an open world. I think most fans enjoyed it except for those that didn’t enjoy the open world aspects.

Ya theres really no excuse for a modern game like this to be almost completely lacking in character customization. I wont even buy it until theres a variety of outfits and hairstyles available Early Game for cheap or free.

I love unicorns and wanted more colors and kinds of animals to befriend. I know it’s just colors but for me I love animals and It was worth that for me! The second wave is definitely a let down but for fanatic players it’s not a problem and just play at ur own pace! The price of wave 2 did increase but more content will do that 😅. If it’s worth it it’s up to players own likes! For me I didn’t think it’s a good sell point to save those for after the main story for one reason-it did not show this dlc is for the players who want more out of a overplayed game and are bored with it! It’s also due to them not showing what is needed to get the content should have been key to that! The Eshop description did not mention how to get the DLC after you purchased it As I have said this is to each gamers own preference of gaming and style so is it worth it? It’s up to you! I do say it was a way of not deterring buyers!

Yuss, excellent video as always! Well done I applaud this one as well and it was very informative on the DLC. I found the pass was worth it and you made good points. Like the outfit as a prime example. I had to wait till the Summer to grow a specific item needed to make the outfit and it became avail in Winter.

I didn't mind it much that Verne was locked behind the entire storyline. Marriage is also a late game thing, so it was a matter of waiting just a little longer to see if I liked Jacques better than the other bachelors (and I did).

Thank you for this! I got the first two DLC and ive been trying to figure out where these dang visitors from afar are but im still completing one of the towns in the main quest 😭. Im excited to unlock a whole new town bc finding new towns has been my fav aspect of the game but it's a bummer the dlc doesnt kick in *at all* until you finish the main quest. At least i have something to look forward to, bc i am def enjoying the game in general i must admit! Also i wish they would give us a full character customization and outfits dlc bc i still only have the starter outfit and im dying to mix it up!!! Also a way to change the colors and exteriors of the barn and house would be super cool, or just little ways to decorate the farm exteriors! Even just a little customization would be a great dlc, but make it immediately accessible upon purchase! 😅🙏

Yeah, I would love another DLC season pass that added more things like that! More outfits, a few more animals, and things like that would make this game even better! And I think some of them should be unlockable earlier in the game. I’d be more motivated to do a second play through that way.

I got this game last week and I just recently completed the Fall town story. I finally decided to use a guide to find those sprites that help you build up stamina and expand your bag. I want enough stamina when I go access that winter town (I am horrible with names in this game lol). Can you only find unicorns through that DLC, because that is a major selling point for me personally due to my love of unicorns. I still may get 2nd dlc, but the other stuff I don't care for honestly. I actually only do one working farm at a time since I don't want to overwhelm myself with multiple farms (and lose stamina quicker that way too). Hey Eli, I have a question revolving around Winter. Is it safe to let your animals out during winter, or should I keep them in the barn (like in most Farm sims)? Currently my farm is in the Summer town area, but I plan on moving it to the Fall town eventually. Also in winter, do I have to worry about the cold like I will when I get the Winter areas? I am really enjoying this game too, exploration is so much fun.

Yes, this DLC is the only way to get unicorns. In the winter, you can still let your animals outside as long as the weather isn’t bad.

I really like the game and the animal avalanche pack, but I was a bit disappointed with the rest of the DLC. It’s not bad, but it could have been better with some minor adjustments. Even allowing us to get the alternate outfit much earlier would have been a big improvement in my eyes. I mean, we paid for it, why lock it to the very end of the game?

I'm going to guess a bug. It happened on PS4 with One World. And apparently it's messing with some people's save files, saying This save file includes Downloadable Content functions that are not currently available. Returning to title screen. Someone posted on Reddit about suddenly having this happen, and the only thing around DLC was that they're on XBox and had had all of it unlock early. Yeah that's a bit of a yikes imo.

Well, the Steam version also had a lot of issues at launch. Honestly, I think Natsume puts more of a focus on Nintendo and Sony platforms (maybe because that’s where a majority of their fans buy the Harvest Moon games?). I mean, even for me, who attended an early preview event, was only given and shown PlayStation and Switch version footage. So… it doesn’t really surprise me that the other versions would have more glitches. Maybe they will get patched sooner or later though.

@@elithegaymer Yeah I'll defend them if I feel someone is being unfair, but the launch of this game was messy enough that I was like okay this launch was a bit of a disaster. It's a shame because the game is really fun and you can definitely tell that they put a lot of effort into it. I've been following their games since early-ish into their first entry, they're honestly clearly trying to make players happy. They've done patches or features/changes in following games based on feedback. (Even the proportions of the DLC candidates were more in line to proportions given in feedback about people disliking the character proportions in that game and they did a watering can capacity/sprite patch decently later for that game.) But then the launch of this game is riddled with issues. I'm honestly not sure if it's more focus or if it's easier for them to work with. Especially Switch since other consoles is a fairly new venture compared to working on games for Nintendo consoles). I'm half convinced the sudden delay on PC was issues with controller support, that they'd tried to have it and it messed up/wouldn't work. And that's both why there was a delay, and then this game doesn't have it. People were (understandably) upset at the sudden delay and radio silence, so they just axed controller support quietly. Of course that's just conjecture, but I can't help but feel that way sometimes. I don't know what coding games is like at all, let alone the difference in doing so for the different consoles. But I definitely wonder about that.

Restart your game. On the screen, choose DLC and make sure you see the visitors one. Then play. Complete the main storyline. Go to see sleep and wake up the next day. Goddess should greet you and it starts.
