I hate Albion. It heavily encourages zerging, and non meta builds arent even viable when compared to certain weapons/armors

@@jaredh923 I agree about the non-meta weapons. But I dont think you're entirely right. With regards to zerging, there literally are corrupted dungeons, hell gates and mists of avalon, all of which promotes 1v1, 2v2 and 5v5 PVP. Zerging only happens if you want to do zone vs zone and take part in massive guild fights in the open world. With regarding meta weapons, I agree with you...HOWEVER, some really good players have made non meta workable in the 1v1 modes. For example carving sword. I personally play with the carving sword and love it

The game has slowed down a bit in the past few weeks because of summer but the population usually starts to climb again in the fall. If you join on the weekends a lot more people are online.

since its a EU server i saw that the peak is about 700-800 at EU prime time. 171 is still enough to get in scenarios and the devs are really behind it.

I would go back to new world if they had an always on pvp server, i enjoy open world pvp however no one flags up in new world so you got nothing outside of seiges or doing the same OPR over and over

Yep. It's not even a contest. Free roaming in an 8man is the pinnacle of PvP in a MMO. I did have some fun in Warhammer Online before they shut down, but there was so much cheese, getting punted nonstop or vacuumed. The ever-present, everywhere, all at once, CC-for-all killed Warhammer. The specialized CC classes is the best system and only DAoC has it.

Daoc is the best mmorpg of our era, they'll never release a better one i'm afraid the gaming industry isn't the same and new wannabe gamers/sheeps will never know what a real good game is and the depth behind it as we've known. /Salute Mids, Albs, Hibs.

Most of the skills are utility / situational skills, so a player will have a lot of different options with their rotation depending on who they are fighting or defending. People usually have a main rotation they stick to. Also the pacing of combat is great and gives you a bit more time to think about what you're doing than other mmo's i've played, so it doesn't feel overwhelming having 30 skills.

When I see 5 spells I know it's fucking trash. The best MMO was and still is WoW because of the amount of spells and utility there is with the different classes.
