@@zjsz4954 “The Loss to Context Switching” Is what is covered in the book. Context switching kills far more time, human effort and money than doom scrolling. When you doom scroll, this habit of fake multi-tasking mentioned in the book becomes strengthened. Making it even more difficult to stick to doing one task.
Especially so… constant task switching turns off your brains ability to enter a deep flow on a given task. If you are curious about learning more, search: “Default Mode Network” “It is best known for being active when a person is not focused on the outside world, and the brain is at wakeful rest” This is flow state.
I don't see why it wouldn't be. ADHD just changes your baseline attention dopamine etc to be worse than a 'regular' persons. So if you add even more bad habits on top of that, its probably just going to make it worse. ADHD isn't gonna make you immune to negative effects from doomscrolling just because your attention is already slightly worse than other peoples. Even with adhd you can be fine, try and get medication for it if you can, but even if you can't, you still got hope for a fine and happy life dude.
yes, but sometimes adhd people have hyperfocus if they do things they like. Also if you suspect you have adhd there is high possibility you could have sleep problems. Because if you have sleep problems almost always you also have adhd, ofcourse it isnt vice versa, but still worth to check out.
