Hanabie = Harajukucore = 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Hanabie have a sense of humor and a social conscience. Not like a Bono version but about things that matter to teens and young adults all over the world today. Oddly, most of those things are very similar to our youth too, just with an Internet added in for good measure. Hanabie are smart and relatable as well as fantastic musicians. They haven’t made a bad track yet!

Lol you should have listened to the guy who told you to shut up with the lyrics and just play the song xD Anyways this music is called harajukucore, and if you can stomach the unusual - to put it mildly - mix of vocal styles, and you keep listening to their stuff, you will eventually come to the inevitable conclusion that Hanabie are f'ing godlike 😁 Literally nobody else sounds like them, and every single song in their discography is unique, gloriously weird, and always hits hard. Oh and they manage to make most of them catchy af on top of everything else lol Now while Hanabie obviously incorporate elements of deathcore in their songs, this is not really it. A good example of a Japanese straight-up deathcore band you should check out would be Deviloof.

Hanabie. are known for their tempo changes, genre flips, brutal growls and melody's that sear to you brain. They have nothing but bangers, are insane live and twice as heavy, They are the funnest live band to go see right now. Highly recommend checking out more.

Speaking of deathcore, Hanabie and Deviloof - the guys who me and some others recommended in our comments - just announced a joint live event in Tokyo early next year. Right on cue lol It's gonna be an absolute facemelter of a gig!

Saw them live in the Pittsburgh area, last month. They are louder, huger, and even more awesome live. Yukina used to crowd-surf, at the shows back in '23! HANABIE. call their sound "Harajukucore". The band are a subspecies of metalcore, following in the footsteps of Maximum the Hormone. Harajuku is a fashion-forward, colorful district in Tokyo, known among other things for the gyaru subculture. That in mind, check out "Be the GAL" (i.e., gyaru) as another song, some time! It has some Electric Callboy energy in the music video, and one of the most awesome metal breakdowns in the middle.

I saw them four nights ago in San Antonio at the beautiful Aztec Theatre. They opened for Jinjer. I am a huge fan of Jinjer and it was my second time to see them live. Hanabie is a great live band. I was curious how some of there music would translate to a live setting. I needn't have worried. Pure energy, especially from Yukina, who does the harsh vocals. She was constantly running around the stage and even got down on the floor, although still inside the rail. Yukina, Matsuri (guitar/vocals), and Hettsu (bass/some vocals) started the band at age 15/16 while they were in high school. The current drummer, Chika, is a fairly recent addition to the band and is not the drummer in this video (they have had bad luck with drummers). The three began as a Maximum The Hormone tribute band and the MTH genre mashup style is still part of their DNA. The crowd in San Antonio was there primarily for Jinjer but it didn't take long for them to win everyone over. The highlight was when they played Be The Gal which had the entire floor jumping around. If y'all do that song next, you will understand why it is an audience favorite. Be The Gal - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hTuPwVYHc_M.html Hanabie is one of three all female Japanese bands that are having great success outside of Japan. The other two are Band-Maid (rock/hard rock/punk) and Lovebites (heavy/power/thrash metal). If you are curious about those two, I suggest - Band-Maid with Hate? - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yfORoQIqB3E.html Lovebites with Set The World On Fire - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-99zsH6iG_6c.html Both videos are of live performances and I have seen both bands live.

These young ladies are the real deal; this song has 10(!) sections with no repeats. I saw them in Atlanta a week or 2 ago; it was the most ridiculous(ly good) thing I've ever seen, totally fun, and I can't wait to see them again. The guitarist doubles as another vocalist, but she doesn't do any of the guttural screamy stuff. The bassist and drummer do some backup singing as well.

Thanks for checking out Hanabie (ha-nah-bee-eh). Hope you enjoyed your first introduction to _Harajukucore._ Hanabie is trying to entertain all while touching on current social issues of the day. This song happens to be about sugar addiction. I find that more relevant than most metal song motifs about wizards fighting warlocks, or impending doom. Also, far superior to the current popular song lyrics about how many supercars I own, or my troublesome stable of hoes. _Ok copy/pasta for new reactors._ Welcome to Harajuku-core! Hanabie (ha-na-be-eh) refer to their music style after the famous Harajuku district that inspires their look and sound. It is famous for its street fashion, shopping, and youthful culture. As you heard, Harajukucore is an energetic mix of metal, electronic, rock, punk, rap, pop, and even traditional instruments. Their visual style is also influenced by the flamboyant gyaru (gal) styles. Matsuri (Gt. & Vo.), Yukina (Harsh Vo.), Hettsu (Bass & Vo.) started the band as an after-school club playing Maximum the Hormone covers. Over the years they have had several drummers including Sae, seen here in this video. Chika is their current drummer. They have a lot of songs about social issues in Japan, like sugar addiction, dating app abuse, and Japanese office life. But they always deliver that message in an entertaining way. Here's a few song recommendations for you - 'Pardon me, I have to go now', 'Be the GAL - early summer ver.', 'NEET GAME', 'Envy', 'Reiwa Dating Apps Generation', 'Tousou' (run away), and 'LOVE Ranbu' which is audio only.

See them live the next time you have the chance. Until then, watch ALL of their videos. The three singers started playing together in high school and have a great sense of humor. They've had more drummers than Spinal Tap. In Japan, only children and women eat sweets. Try another Japanese all-female Metal band: HAGANE, Hero - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--uIGtQNesx0.htmlsi=4IWpYdhm-DHoKb75

With Hanabie you have now met probably the best metal band from Japan at the moment. With their combinations of different (sub)genres and styles, Hanabie have founded their own metalcore subgenre, Harajukucore. If you want to hear how Harajukucore started, I recommend the L.C.G music video, where Hanabie mixed a lot of different things together perfectly for the first time. To hear the perfect pronunciation of Hanabie (Hah - Nah - Bee - Eh with four syllables), simply copy and paste 花冷え。 into Google Translate and have the word read to you, nothing could be easier or faster.

@Rei_and_Miyu
@Rei_and_Miyu 4 дня назад
We have to clearly disagree with you on this. The four of them just heard one of the best metal bands in the world in this reaction. The band Nemophila you mentioned are also among the top metal bands, as are Maximum The Hormone. Lovebites, on the other hand, don't even make it into the top 10 of the best metal bands from Japan.
@danw6048
@danw6048 4 дня назад
@@Rei_and_Miyu And I have to clearly disagree with the two of you. I have seen Nemophila, Lovebites and Hanabie live, and, while all three are great, I would put Lovebites above the other two. Lovebites are the superior musicians, compose almost all of their own songs, and are one of the top power metal bands in the world right now, if not the best. While great musicians, Nemophila still compose a small percentage of their music. I hope recent changes mean that they will gain creative control. We will see. Hanabie are good musicians but on a punk rock level of good. They do, however, write great songs and are a very fun live band. I would put them ahead of Nemophila.
@TobiBlack1001
@TobiBlack1001 4 дня назад
@@Rei_and_Miyu I agree with you. Lovebites never reach the creativity of Hanabie or Maximum The Hormone, and there is nothing more important than creativity in the creation of music. And Lovebites don't come close to the perfection of bands like Lorna Shore, even if I don't want to deny their very good musicianship. When it comes to singing, there are a lot of bands and singers in metal that are better than Lovebites, so Lovebites can't be the best metal band in the world.
@Rei_and_Miyu

Hah-Nah-Bee-Eh (Hanabie = cold flower -> frosty spring weather, Hanabi = fire flower -> fireworks, Hannahbeeyay = nonsense) are simply fantastic. No other Japanese female metal band has such a high level of creativity in songwriting. This song, for example, doesn't repeat itself once. And Yukina is quite unique with her combination of cute vocals and her growls and screams. Our favorite Hanabie song is L.C.G (Lollypop Candy Girl), it is also the first Hanabie song where many different styles were mixed together and therefore the very first Harajukucore song.
