The ATF ruled that the Sig Arms brace could be shouldered a few weeks ago. Before that, it was considered "redesigning the purpose of the firearm" to shoulder the brace like a stock. So you're good to go! Shoulder away!

Only the Sig Brace is included in that ATF clarification. All the other braces care not included. He could just SBR it. I"m sure Matt knows all the rules.

Roman, it is legal as long as it's not fully automatic AND as long as the barrel is 16" or longer. If the barrel is shorter than 16" then you need a tax stamp to put a shoulder stock on it.

They recently changed the law to where you can shoulder it with the arm brace as long as you don't modify the arm brace to the extent where it may only be shouldered.

Gagbloo just remember though the ATF did a ruling and said it is now OK to shoulder the SIG braces too as long as your not modifying the brace to be more like a stock

Batteriii You're 100% right. The ATF recently said you're allowed to shoulder a pistol with a wrist stabilizer installed as long as you don't modify the stabilizer, then you're manufacturing a SBR.

Edit: the atf clarified that SB Tactical stocks can be shouldered... the zenith firearms have SB Tactical folding stocks installed from the manufacture, therefor it is legal to shoulder them. I stand corrected.. Roman, Since the gun isn't registered as an sbr "short barrel rifle" it has to be cheek welded. That is why when you look at the stock it has a cloth strap which is intended to wrap around your wrist. Since the barrel length is under 16 inches and it's not registered as an sbr, it's actually a pistol. So it has to follow pistol laws, which pistols can not be shouldered. If you talk to your local gun shop, you can start paperwork to register it as an sbr, but it takes about 8 months and costs 200 dollars for the tax stamp. Hope this makes sense.

As of the last couple of week, the ATF has stated that it is NOT illegal to shoulder the stabilizing brace as long as the brace is left in the condition that it is intended to be in. (Can't remove the straps or anything).

That Zenith will have to be braced against the arm or "cheeked" unless an ATF letter was provided stating it can be shouldered like the sig brace. Otherwise you'd have to SBR it and will require a stamp

It's not illegal the ATF has deemed that the arm stock shouldered does not change the firearm you are fine to shoulder the weapon

you are partly correct SB Tactical got a letter from the ATF saying its ok with their brace (sig brace) because it is only secured to the buffer tube by friction and is a soft flexible brace, his brace is not. off camera id say he is fine but on camera i wouldn't just to be safe.
