The cargo compartment in the Sequoia is truly an abomination, I like basically everything else but it's a deal breaker for me. Love the new LX for sure! Might wait for a nice used one in a couple of years. Maybe try a used 570 for a while and just close my eyes when I fill the tank.

Really like it but will keep my 2021 LX 570 and 2018 GX 460 for some more time 🙂.. Love the V8!

I’d love it if Toyota rethinks their plan and brings the LC300 to the USA. I know the Sequoia is a close competitor, but it’s just not the same at the LC300. The LX600 is cool, but it’s too stylized in my opinion.

I like these for the fact they have full time 4wd and dont have the hybrid powertrain (unless that proves to really be beneficial for fuel economy in the real world). That treatment though looks pretty good.

The most off road this thing will see is when it curbs it’s wheels at the mall parking lot.

I don't think they left rear seats in the car with those shelves. So, folding down flat is not that important. Also, I preferred rock sliders that didn't compromise ground clearance.

Toyota was never going to let any other truck in their lineup be better than the land cruiser off road... would not happen. some get very close! but they will always give the land cruiser the edge. things like the AWD with KDDS combo ( some have awd, some have kdss) , turn assist, etc. then there's the dimensions; for example the land cruiser has always tried to maintain a manageable wheelbase for off road, something the sequoia blows right past with 10 extra inches over the LC. that's not a little bit. then add the lexus trim extras of adjustable air suspension. I'm not a fan but that seems to be the way most are going now days and it does add more flexibility for city and off road driving.

It's unforgivable Lexus did not carry over the E-KDSS from the LC300 to the LX600. E-KDSS and a shorter bumper and yes this would be perfect 🥰

Thank you for sharing Beautiful off road truck I would install these bumpers just because in New York drivers don’t respect they will bump vehicle when parking and damage bumper with out a care just because. So metal bumper work great in NYC I had them in my last vehicle and I’ve many driver bumping into it and creating mayor damage to their vehicles as they don’t care how hard they hit you while parking.

It is better and if you were balling it would make more sense to get this but for the average consumer the Sequoia is a better value.

Wtf..?! Its like the designers gave up halfway through the build. Rediculous. Departure angle means nothing with a tire almost touching the ground. To pay that much and then have to lift it 3 inches means the design was not finished. 10 inch clearance is NOT what off-roaders want or require. Oh and that grill is the nastiest thing I’ve ever seen.

I could never buy that truck with that grill, its really ugly! I like the getup in the back, however the bumpers and roof rack are too busy and overwhelmed the look of the vehicle!

Unfortunately it's a toss up between it too with the Toyota you get lesser quality and better design with the Lexus you get better quality and poor design so take your pick imho cant go right with either one but would take the lx. Toyota needs to electrify the lx.

If Lexus made trucks….

All Lexus LX600 will be better off-road than the new Sequoia. The LX is actually a 300-series. The Sequoia is not. The Sequoia is inferior to the LX in pretty much every way. It has less ground clearance, inferior approach/break-over/departure angle, inferior 4WD system, inferior suspension flex and the list goes on and on. The Sequoia is fully designed for American consumers that mainly do highway driving. Toyota does not have to keep in mind of Africans buying Sequoia's. Meanwhile the 300-series is a global products that has will be bought and driven in remote parts of Africa, Asia, South America etc.

No factory diff locks though.

Would love to see that White Lexus car in the background. It sucks that all these SEMA videos and walkarounds show a car for 2 seconds or less or not at all. Somebody needs to video each vehicle and for more than 2 seconds and I would buy that video! Only business owners and media types can attend the show and we are left with these videos where the cameraman mostly shows the vehicles He or She likes and skip over the rest.

Um the 300 series LC is the same frame and engine layout as is the Tundra and the Sequoia, only difference is the frame length, engine and transmission choices based on county legal engines and such. It’s a chassis decision that Toyota should have went to earlier but wanted to see how well the huge V-8 Tundras did in the US. They knew they wouldn’t compete with the big three US makers but made a great move to the one chassis architecture of the LC300 platform, now yeah your going to see differences in LC vs Tundra vs Sequoia quality down the road but the biggest question is why didn’t Lexus get the same top of the line power train as say the TRD PRO Tundra or Sequoia! That makes me wonder right there!! You’ll see the same thing coming in the Tacoma eventually when adopting more Lexus engine codes. It’s a Tire Swingout man, not a tire swing…. And it IS the fridge slide location, the “fridge slide” gave it away. Have you not seen the back of almost everybody’s “overland” vehicles and you put the fridge on the left side so as the driver in the left-hand drive vehicle when you look over your shoulder, your vision is not impeded by the fridge so much… For the love of the internet, please don’t try and let us know what something is unless you know. It’s okay to say you don’t know, I’ve said that many years and people have helped me learn along the way.
