It’s better to be honest about it then lie that you liked it. It’s rare to see a reactor be honest about what they’re reviewing. Keep it up you just got another subscriber for being legit. Also if your looking for some crazy shit to react to Epilogue, and Sugar by Fleshgod Apocalypse. If you wanna watch some weird shit check out a youtube page called The Minute Hour. Enjoy!
Gerards been often called the last true front man for moden rock/emo whatever genre. Point being, his performance ALWAYS was noticed right away. True showman.
oh boy, it's INSANE how some people still haven't listened to MCR before. if you liked this song, then you'll definitely dig "famous last words" and "mama" by my chemical romance. only famous last words has an official music video, but the other song is definitely worth checking out! btw, my chemical romance isn't "emo"; they're an iconic rock band.
when i first started listening to mcr (2 years ago) the songs i liked best and i recommend are- give em' hell kid, house of wolves, im not okay (i promise), vampires will never hurt you,and basically any song from the 'three cheers for sweet revenge' album.
The Black Parade is a rock opera centering around the character of "The Patient". It is about his passage out of life and the memories he has of it. "The Patient" dies and death comes for him in the form of a parade. This is based on singer Gerard Way's notion of death appearing to a person in the form of their fondest memory, in this case seeing a marching band as a child.
I wish I could go back in time and listen to this song for the first time again. LOVEEEEE watching someone's legit genuine first time. I got TONS of music if you just heard this three years ago.
As I have seen you watched/listened to the Famous Last Words Music Video, if you look hard enough into the background of that set, you’ll see that all of the fire is burning the things from the black parade set. After they recorded the black parade mv, they immediately started flw, and decided they would burn everything from the previous set, 1) to get rid of it. Its not like they needed it ¯\_(ツ)_/- 2) It went well with the theme. ALSO- The famous last words song (if you didnt know) is about Mikey Way (Their Bassist) wanting to leave the band, and telling his brother Gerard Way (The lead vocalist) that “Nothing he could say would stop him from going home” or in his case, quitting the band due to personal problems/mental health issues (He did get over this and went through with the band until the very end, and he is doing mentally and physically okay with 2 daughters and an amazing wife ♡) hehe little band lesson there
I have been a fan since the start.... i had no idea about Mikey 😩. He was always so very quiet not animated like Gee or Frank. I’m glad he’s better now
Never heard of MCR? Have you been under a rock or boulder? So happy you had an open mind and listened. How about The End and Dead, Helena, Teenagers, Famous Last Words, This is how I disappear? I could go on and on. Guess what? I'll be 59 in September!
Oh I am glad to see someone else my age be such a fan! I have only discovered them really (besides The Black Parade) since this February. I absolutely love them and is so I've been listening too! (Btw I'm 61. Shhhhhh don't tell anyone.)
Love MCR it’s viewed as there best song by the masses most MCR fan’s would say MAMA or something else is there fav ms personally I prefer it heavier so a thanks for the venom is more metal or our lady of sorrows is more screamo
I was more punk, but I knew this was the fucking anthem!! First time I heard it and saw the video, I just fell in love. Amazing experience once upon a time
One of their BEST songs and videos!!!!! Visually..... STUNNING, all the music changes..gives me chills. I also love Helena💕 and I’m not ok. Again great songs and videos
For NaNaNA you want to watch the lyric video not the music video. The lyric video feels like the band saw the music video, said fuck that, then made the lyric video in one hour so they could have the song up uncensored.
On that note, my favorite cover of this song is by Postmodern Jukebox, who really leaned in to the Marching Band theme by outright doing it in the style of a New Orleans marching Jazz Band... ...which is high key frickin BRILLIANT because get this: New Orleans has a real life tradition of playing jazz during funeral processions. Yes, really. Given the song's meaning and original context, this makes the PMJ cover the hands down smartest and most appropriate take on the song that isn't just trying to imitate MCR in style. And it sounds AMAZING. It's a different vibe, but it still suits it so very well! Tbh I wouldn't mind that at my funeral at all. :) (you can find the performance for it for free on their RU-vid channel if you're curious, btw)
More MCR🙏🏻 You will also not be disappointed with Blue October. I highly suggest checking out ‘Hate Me’ and follow that with ‘Fear’. You can definitely tell the journey that he’s been on with drug addiction and depression and how he’s dealt with it. ❤️ Many blessings, my friend
Dude thank you so much for those recommendations! nI have a few videos lined up and I think I will listen to them! I might have heard Hate Me by Blue October, but not sure about the other one!
Cuda Hitz I don’t know what kind of music (rock, hip hop, covers, etc) you’re looking to react to but I got lots of suggestions. Even if you don’t do reacts, they’re always good to check out. 🤷🏻♀️
Mcr was my fav band when I was 15. Metalheads at school made fun of me all them time for that 😂 I’m not a big fan anymore but sometimes I enjoy their songs
Gerard ha detto he sono stati una loro grande ispirazione ( sono un fan di entrambi anche se seguo da più tempo i green day e ho inziato ad appassionarmi della musica grazie a loro 😍 )
idk if youll actually see this but i just subbed, i can tell you like MCR quite alot, theres 2 bands im gonna suggest for ya even just for personal time watching if not reacting as well as a cover artist who deserves alot of love for his metal covers of like.. everything and anything Solence is a fairly new, high energy high power metal/rock/punk band that makes insanely cool music, songs like Snakes, Breaking the silence, Heavy rain, and some more are insanely good Paddy and the rats is a fairly old but still insanely cool, i think irish based, metal/rock band that focuses on pirate or 'folk tale' themed songs and instrumentals. they litterally use acordians, violins, hurdy gurdys and more in their instrumentals and its fucking dope. Songs like Castaway, Ghost in the barrow, Where red paints the ocean, Join the riot are just some of my favorites As for the cover artist, Jonathan young creates metal/rock covers of anything from disney, to anime, to rock, to pop, to existing metal songs. every single one of them is amazing, he even did a metal cover of the Pokemon theme... WITH THE ORIGINAL SINGER OF IT... he puts insane levels of emotion in stuff like his english cover of the anime Tokyo ghoul's first opening theme song, Unravel, and in his acoustic cover of Linkin park, Breaking the habit. He also has original songs too which are great! all of these are absolutely worth checking out on your own time, or even reacting to if youd like! Sorry its long lol
my go to for getting into punk is usually some zebrahead. I preface it with asking if people like beastie boys, if they do they are going to like zebrahead. I usually hit them with Galileo was wrong or even some of their newer tracks like licking on a knife for fun or party on the dance floor. Another band I try to ease people into is Pennywise for punk... fuck authority or revolution is solid for them, sometimes american lies. For the more emo side of punk (instead of the political side) i usually aim for yeah like sum 41 or red jumpsuit or greenday. oddly enough, greenday and red jumpsuit apparatus both kinda got lost in the fray after their big stuff was around... shit we still hear their big stuff on the radio today. bang bang or revolution radio are amazing newer green day, and father of all is pretty good too (plenty more, but those are just newish ones i like) and red jumpsuit - am i the enemy. Idk man, i wish more people got into punk through metal/thrash because metal thrash and punk are all like cousins and its pretty easy to dip your toes into each genre if you like one. my order was Punk > metal (i listen to proggy metal core and djent now that ive explored the genre thoroughly) > thrash (still new into the scene and ironically king gizzard and the lizard wizard's thrashy albums got me into thrash, along side punks influence by it)
This is literally the closest thing to bohemian rhapsody that has ever existed. It's an absolute anthem 😅 ik it may seem crazy to say but name something else in modern music close to it.
It's a really cool song I regret that I only knew them when they disband the lyrics have really deep meaning or message perhaps you should react to their song I'm Not Okay(I Promise)
You simply must listen to more MCR I reccomend the following :Mama, I never told you what I do for a living, Cancer, The Sharpest Lives, and House of wolves or literally any song by them not gonna lie...
Super cool to see someone hearing MCR's stuff for the first time, but if you think that is standard pop-punk/emo, man you need to listen to that stuff again. This is nothing like those other bands. But great video still, and I do agree there's at least a little Billie Joe Armstrong in his expressions.
well i don't know if it's the best song, i think it's really good but most mcr fans will probably tell you that it's too overplayed. i can't even hear it as just a song anymore it's weird. as an mcr fan I'd say it's a good song but definitely not their best, not even close
No way this isn’t the best song, we know it is. It is overplayed, but not to the point where you get tired tbh. It’s just one of those songs literally everyone can enjoy no matter what genre you listen to.
