In todays episode, we have an absolute ripper session at Melbourne’s Karkarook Lake, catching an insane amount of Rainbow Trout.
I arrived at the lake at 1:00 in the afternoon, to meet up with my friend Jake, who had already caught 2 nice trout on green Powerbait. I got out my Paternoster and Running sinker rigs and at around 5:30, I caught my first fish, and we ended up catching so many trout that I lost count!

G'day Coop. Nice spot. Looks like a fun evening on the lake. Must be a bit chilly! A nice long handled net would make my life a lot easier, but where I fish, I cannot real drag a big net around lol. I bent one and lost one this season, no wonder I never use one. 😂

Hey Andrew, sure was alot of fun! Surprisingly it was a very nice evening and wasn’t all that cold, I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt at one stage hahaha! Longer net’s definitely do help (but only when people don’t ‘net’ fish like jake do😂) Hahaha thats unlucky mate. Thanks for watching legend!

I find the best setup for power bait is running sinker size 4 sinker with a rod length of leader and small hook don't no size and make sure the power bait floats that long leader with heavy sinker makes a big difference on the hook up well done and great vid
