One part you didn't mention is the series has a surprising amount of foreshadowing. For example, after that one pro delivers parkour to Evbo's house you can just BARLEY see them fall down to the noob layer out of the corner of your screen. Or when Evbo goes to Seawatt's valut you can see an armour stand with a pair of chainmail boots. This foreshadows the 2nd movie, but the important thing is that Evbo NEVER mentions it. It is purely there for attentive viewers. So say what you will about the actual writing, you can't deny Evbo doesn't have an eye for detail.
One piece of solid advice I've heard is "get to the point". Can you describe a character in one evocative paragraph or even sentence? Then don't spend pages on it. Can you make an engaging and thought provoking scene using only half a page in a screenplay? Then do that; don't drag things out.
i also feel like some of its success is because it is some sort of satire of those brainrot videos you would see on youtube kids. i started watching parkour civilization when the second episode came out, i clicked on it because i was like "haha i bet its so bad, let me get some cheap laughs and move on", but then i actually became addicted to the story, even if it was silly and dumb it managed to keep my attention
no way YOU made a vid on this😭😭 but yea i was actually surprised by how the movie managed to keep my attention span HOOKED the entire time and actually got me curious and hyped in seemingly weird parts
Interesting. I had tried to watch the original video, and ended up really confused on why people loved it so much. So, thanks for explaining why it was able to catch on so quickly! I also love that you added a few of the boom sound effects lol.
I know another minecraft story series i used to watch when i was little. It's Gizzy Gazza's Altered Adventure. I think he turned the series into a book series but i'm not sure. It's a fantasy series too! I'd love to see a video on this. No one seems to see the awesome potential in minecraft, but it's starting to pick up. Please 🙏 i'm beggin' bro do a video on it 😆
Next generation? No definitely not next, more exactly this is current/last generation, the story almost perfectly lays bare the story telling technique of how your average shounen manga works in such a way the series feels more like a educational video in a way
While watching parkour civilization I told to my self this thing is so badly written but for some reason I like it and this though has been pondering in my head since I watched it, thanks for the analysis now I can sleep well knowing why I like parkour civilization
While I’d love to subscribe and keep watching your videos because you seem like you know what you’re talking about, I can’t overlook you using AI for the channel banner
