Oh this is HORROR!!! The quietness happened to me once, I was 14 and my sister was just past one… 😱 it was quiet and then we found her, liquid makeup foundation covering the brand new bedspread and carpet…. holes dug into every eyeshadow and blush…a baby sister covered in colors and laughing. It was a nightmare ((that we all laugh about like crazy now, especially since I stopped wearing makeup and she is fabulous at it!!)). Thanks for the fun Halloween video. I experienced The Quiteness once , my potty training son decided to hide his poop in out pelt stove. It wasn't on but thank goodness he remembered to take out all the ashes first and used them to draw a lovely black mural all over the walls. He also used his poop as an accent color.

We had a sharpie-inspired Quietness when my 17yo Abbie was two. She had just learned to write her name and we found the letter "A" all over the back of our couch, on the wall behind the lamp, and inside several of her books.😈 Pretty sure that's the most naughty thing she's ever done. Now she's an artist and wouldn't dream of abusing sharpies by leaving them lidless! 😇

Fun fact, expo markers can be used to help remove sharpie off of some surfaces. I’ve used this many times to get sharpie off of our tables

Mom had a Quietness once. Little brother got into her acrylic scarlet paint and redecorated himself and the living room. Mom, being so nearsighted she's classed as legally blind, saw her toddler covered in viscus red liquid and thought it was blood from a horrific injury.

As soon as you picked up the Sharpie lid, I started laughing maniacally. I've been there. All three of my kids have done something similar. My youngest was the worst. Took a Sharpie to the back seat of the car, and once put liquid matte lipstick all over her hair and body. The lipstick was almost as hard to get out as the Sharpie was.

I don’t have kids so I can only superficially relate but I do love a good thriller! This is great.

Okay this is brilliant. You all captured the true fear for every parent. That quiet you hear is telltale sign they are up to something. Mine got into crayons. When my.oldest niece was just barely 2, my parents moved. Mommy & daddy brought her over to surprise us (daddy was deployed to Iraq, so it was a big surprise). My grandmother was also visiting. And we realized the toddler was quiet! We found daddy her at the top of the stairs, on the very light (freshly cleaned before we moved in), with a can of ground coffee, dumped out & playing like it was sand. My parents little dog was supervising. Turns out, my grandmother had put the coffee away where it was in reach...forgetting how busy toddlers can be! Several years later, when mom had the carpet cleaned, the guy commented it was like coffee at the top of the stairs & I had to remind mom of the incident...Madison will be 22 in June, my grandmother died at nearly 99 years old, Gizmo the dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge many years ago....but the memory still makes me giggle!

My son spread a whole container of baby powder through my entire bedroom when he was supposed to be going to sleep. It was EVERYWHERE

When my little one was a toddler I joked that Sharpies were weapons of mass destruction after she somehow got a hold of one. We managed to get it away from her before anything was permanently defaced. But, there was a long period of time where we kept exactly 2 in the house stashed in a very inaccessible place.

When she was picking something up I was like oh no it's a sharpie cap....

Fingernail polish was my worst marker can be scrubbed off fingernail polish remover just removes paint.

That.....hits way too close to home. I was the child in question. HOWEVER, mom learned that Goof Off (it's a cleaner, comes in a yellow can) is the cure for sharpie. Also good for tree sap and other stuff, but it takes the paint off of Buzz Lightyear's eyeballs. I don't know why the eyeballs specifically, I was 4. Not sponsored, just advice.

My kids that are adults now got quiet once while I was making dinner. So I went to find out what they were doing. They had dumped all of their Legos out of their Lego box and found scissors and they had cut all of their Barbies hair off and opened every one of their stuffed animals and took all of the stuffing out and was filling the Lego box with Barbie hair and stuffed animal stuffing. They proudly told me that they were saving me money by making their own Halloween costumes. Wow. I believe they were six and seven.

Oh I know this horror I've experienced it myself and I have btried to be there for other mothers going through this. Once I was so confident I could get the marker off the wall that her child had done I got a magic eraser and we scrubbed all the way down to the surface of the drywall and the marker stain was still there .Crazy Crazy Crazy
