Is This New Rare REALLY Better than Frozen Banshee?

On quick battle it is allowing FB's A2, which on a normal run most would turn it off to not deal with the speed issues. That is aside the fact that Gnishak(with Bad-el helping too) alone could randomly overload the boss with debuffs, so there is no telling how often which debuffs are being place. When I use to run Gnishak on my CB team it was always important that I got defense down on the boss before he went(and shut off his A2) or there would be no room for it. Though it just as easily could be just the difference in having defense down with Petrifya and not FB's team. In some of them you could see Iron Brago did almost double the damage. Couldn't see Gnishak's damage to see if it was likely him overloading the bar at times. Occasionally when you could see it looked like sometimes Gnishak was doing double the damage and IB was doing a lot less. So in that defense down is better to have then Petrifya wins if you need that. Still, thanks for the video.

Ash, even though most of us are no where near your level, thanks for covering compelling rares. You're right, they are hard to work into teams at later stages, but they still provide limit utility in specific situations. Once again, thank you for all you do for the community.

I would have liked to see them by themselves as a solo poisoner I think Nishak the rat kind of stole all of the poisons on that and since you're running quick battles you can't see who's clogging up the debuff bar and if they're even doing damaged by a poison

Bro im on one today raid needs to fix korugar death bells animations omfg he moves so slow for no reason when i first got him he just sprinted across the screen n smacked a guy it took a half a second, now it takes him 3 seconds just to run over to the guy then he smacks him then it takes 3 more seconds to walk his ass back to the line it is so dumb makes it not as fun to play with him cause your just watching him run super hard to move slower than a snail 🐌 love the video as usual

Gnishak (or BeK) probably wasn't the best choice for the team, because he hits the debuff limit just by himself and they have to compete for the debuff slots. The result were (probably) that random, because you had 3 poisoners competing for the slots. edit: My frozen banshee does only few million less in brutal compared to what yours did, the difference is that it's an early/mid game account and only lasts for 20 to 25 boss turns. With way worse gear on her.

Wow that was pretty interesting to see how the two champions can compare. I have Frozen Banshee and she does okay although she could use a little more work on her from my end. An honorable mention for me, a while back some time ago not too long, I did my first 1.66+million damage on Hydra normal and you know how damn hard Hydra Clan Boss can be for some players XD. Although now I can't seem to remember which champions I used exactly and I almost got the first chest for normal Hydra, just need that extra million haha! Anyways great video Ash, also I do like the aesthetics of that demon spawn champion quite a bit 💯.

Couple things to note here: 1). Gnishak will max out the debuff bar very quickly so it's hard to say how much dmg was stolen. 2) Arbiter reviving could be extending some runs based on if folks die at the right time. 3) FB is most powerful in a comp with CA or AA since you get more A1s so she wasn't at full power with this comp. My take is that FB is a better poisoner. Petrifya might enable higher dmg output with dec def. One will be better than the other overall depending on the team comp around them.

Good rare analysis, as always. I really like these as they showcase the opportunities which exist for early accounts with rare champions.

Putting them in similar armor with similar bonuses when their skill kits operate differently won't definitively prove which is better. If you want to max Banshee's damage, she needs to take as many turns as possible to pop that A1 and fill the debuff bar with poisons. Stacking her with Relentless, Retaliation, and/or Revenge accessories on top of high speed will do the trick. Also having two other poisoners on the team to clog the debuff bar will only decrease her effectiveness. Just removing rat king and bad el would have increased her damage output significantly.

Right now I'm about mid/semi late game. I just got in a new clan who's consistently beating Clan Boss on Brutal, and my team can 2 Key him, actually they go way over sometimes. On my best runs I'm just about 2-3 million short of being able to quick battle him. I just haven't had very good luck in terms of shards and getting good champions who can help me bridge that gap and start pushing into Nightmare difficulty.

She looks good as an alternative for the advanced daily that requires you to beat the clan boss with a rare on the team, which is my main use for frozen banshee these days. That said, if I was building an account now she would be a great partner for banshee, which I would otherwise build two of early account. Both would pair well with Dark Kael as well for a solid earlyish game clan boss team.

Been struggling hardcore on Dragon 13, but watching this and looking at your champions and seeing what they bring to the group i was able to crack into 13. Now to slowly get 6* gear. :)

I have a frozen banshee I maxed and used in clan boss for a long time, she’s awesome. But now I have dark kael… and he’s just so much better. This new rare does look pretty neat too. It would be nice if there were more use for rares once you’re a couple years into the game!

You should've, I think, run a speedtuned comp. That way the results would've varied the minimum amount. Especially a 2:1 comp would've shown that FB performed better. As others have mentioned you didnt see if either got the ability to place many debuffs and from the looks of it they really didnt get to as that damage seems like what masteries would've done almost by themselves depending on how many turns they got.

I still use Froshee in my CB team, but that is mostly for conveniences sake (I am running Deadwoodjedis 'Fast Hellcat Unkillable' and I just don't want to bother with having to swap out champions when the "Beat the Clan Boss with a rare Champion" Quest comes around Granted, I am considering phasing her out and swapping to the NinjaHellcat V2 comp and then setting up another rare to run on Nightmare to replace Ninja, just have to figure out whom...

I'd be curious how they would stack up in something like a Martyr counter attack comp given the poisons from the A1 on FB instead of the A2... I imagine FB would be better in that but not sure how likely either way is to get debuff capped. Also, I know you know this but just a reminder, you can use the search bar instead of hunting around for champs! I often forget it too so good to be reminded until we get the muscle/mental memory for it.

Ash, you didnt disable frozen banshee a2, it would lead for more poisons from a1 and potentially better results

I think the test team has an important issue. Gnishak is filling the debuff bar which makes it a bad environment to test other poisoners.

Look up the new uncommon Sylvan Watcher champion. He has 2 moves, the kit is super basic, atk champion, but people are rating him very highly for some reason, I want to see someone build him to test his damage for faction wars. Who better than Ash. Lol They have been adding new rares as well lately, a new skinwalker that people seem. Check them out? 😅

2 words: Secret Rooms. Or Faction Wars. Or (more than two words) something in the future where she might be a key piece in a puzzle for whatever reason. Remember Corpulent Cadaver? Remember Heiress? Rares that weren't the lodestone until MUCH later in the game. It can happen.

3+ years in, I still use Frozen Banshee in CB on the use a rare in CB days. I do pair her with Vizier, though.

I've returned to raid, but this account will be a rare mostly focused team for all contents of my game. Might add an epic or a Lego but it must be rare the most, so now I've got my sight on this champ, thank you Ash.

Plenty of my clan mates still use FB in their unkillable teams. Especially if you have counter attack, she's very nice. If not, she's not that good. A few pointers: Since you used traditional (or "killable") team, the team benefits from the Petrifya's Decrease attack as Iron Brago's is not 100% up. In Unkillable that skill is moot though. Frozen Banshee shines when you get more attacks, retaliation & counter-attack make her do more poisons per poison sensitivity as she only does the poisons when sensitivity is up. So if you'd build a team that sets her up to shine, I'm pretty sure she'd do a better job than Petrifya. But as a progression champ I suppose Petrifya is better.

I've been playing for about 10 months and, up to a month or so ago, was still using Frozen Banshee in my clan boss team. She's been replaced by Venomage and, in a way, Petrifya is a mini-Venomage: she won't do as much direct poison damage as Frozen Banshee, but her decrease defence will improve everyone else's damage and she'll help the team stay alive longer.

Many thanks for doing this. I'm in an odd place where this really helps me. On day 229, so not new and not a veteran on a lower-spend account (~$120 (USD) to date). I picked up Demytha during her guaranteed event and following HH takes on beating UNM, I have a speed-tuned unkillable team ready to go. However, I hadn't realized that my clan hadn't unlocked UNM yet and didn't want to swap all of my gear around (twice) to regear the team to beat NM CB first. I've been looking at my champions to see if I can speed-tune a second team for a 3-key NM - when I got Petrifya during the fusion event. I also picked up Stag Knight during his guaranteed event, so I have Petrifya, Stag, and Kael as a core group to work with. The big question being ... Will Petrifya hold her own in NM CB? It's also worth noting that (with your analysis), Petrifya also effectively doubles the chance of getting a useful Poisoner with Poison Sensitivity in the early to mid-game from the rare champion pool from ancient shards. I have one Frozen Banshee (in the unkillable team) in thousands (guess ~6-8000) mystery plus 140 ancient and 31 void shard pulls.

I have 50'd petrifya rare because their kit attracted me and i think im just missing their T6 mastery. One of my clan mate said they hey seem like a weaker version of FB, little did you know, my petrifya did almost as much as my FB at R5.

The only way she would be considered better then FB is if you are very early in the game and have no attack down. FB just wraps her around her finger. FB at least can be used in unkillable teams and still do a lot. Even on Dragon or IG she still is good. This new one is literally no match for her

With my double maneater comp i run frozen banshee for the advanced quest and unless i run another champ that has poison sensitivity then she wont keep poisons up as much. But when i put Martyr in the comp as well the counter attacks really crank up frozen banshees damage output. Have not tried the new rare yet though she does look promising.

I finally got kalvalax from a clear shard, actually forgot to pull and he auto pulled :) Maybe one of these two can help him, IDK who else i even have as epics that have PS,,,, o wait Dark K or S kale? Thanks for the content.

I got Frozen Banshee & maxed her out after reading a review of her on HH. It says “She specialises in Dragon and Clan Boss using her poison abilities to out-damage almost all of the epic and legendary poisoners in the game.” I can’t get her to do much…she isn’t better than Ronda just bashing the CB with her fists. Also, great video & editing 👍

What about the clan boss with a rare and the faction with a rare?

Frozen Banshee is my main damage dealer in clan boss. I gotta say, I get a lot more damage out of mine. I get 27 million damage on average on nightmare. I use Lyssandra, Ursala the Mourner, Demytha, Krisk and Frozen Banshee. I think quick battle needs to be taken with a grain of salt, as if I play it regular, I get about 65 turns on nightmare clanboss, yet quick battle says I get up to 80 turns with over 50 million damage.

My clan boss team is not great. I can 2 key nightmare, but I'm still using Steel Skull so I have to use Frozen Banshee instead of Brawler because Skull will use his single heal as a debuffer on Brawler

Omg Ash, you really started out my day laughing😂 20secs in the video already! And to answer your question, since one of the advance quests needs a rare for CB, and you prove she's worth it, yeah i'm happy with the new rare.

You need to set the HH page to full screen to see the character rating... Bad design I guess. Actually you can see it at half screen as well but you need to pull the page till it's wide enough to unhide the overall rating number OR pull the side till the window in to make it way smaller. For whatever reason if the window is in between the rating is hidden..... (Ultrawide screen issue maybe?)

I do believe that this rare does better than FB given that she can place decrease defense. As far as actual poisons go, she cannot compete with FB. I get your point removing Lydia however, if you had a decrease defense champion other than Lydia in Iron Brago's place the Banshee teams would outperform Pertifya, alternatively, remove Gnishak and replace him with Frozen Banshee since he pretty much fills the poison bar by himself, and I presume FB would output more damage than Petrifya

230 days in and by the time I got Frozen Banshee (~180 days) I didn't need her anymore. Still have her and grave chill built just in case.

My main thing about Frozen Banshee or Petrifya will fill the "use a rare in your clan boss team" advanced quest they like to throw at us Ash.

You can't compare 1 to 1. If you are using banshee, you bring a decrease def. If you bring petrya, you don't. It would be a different mix

for those that havent hex champs they can put hex set on her..and hers kits go more crrazy..

Considering getting to the end game might take a decade frozen banshee is definitely worth building to at least five stars, I'm still using her six months later

I gotta agree petrifya is better but I'm not against using them both. My own account doesn't have alot of option in terms of poison sensitivity champs. So I'll take both. They each can serve equally in different areas. Petrifya is a complete commando tho so I probly prefer her

Damn, she is the full package for CB. Not enough poison for nightmare or higher good teams. But she is a fantastic rare for early game CB teams
