Fun episode, guys. I've always loved the Willow Wonka games. Back when I was in college 1970's and the movie was first coming out, the older brother of Peter Ostrum (who played Charlie) attended the same small college I did, and through his connections, we managed to get a copy of the movie to show in the auditorium. We weren't sure which character he was and wondered if we could figure it out. But when he first came on screen the whole auditorium erupted in cheers, because he looked so incredibly like his older brother. 🙂 So I usually play the game when I go to the casino,
NEVER play a slot that involves a movie, or anything that requires licensing. The casinos barely perform upkeep on them because they don’t actually own them. The manufacturer does, AND they can be set tighter to justify the huge cut the Casino has to give to the movie studios because of those “licensed slots.” Anything like Harry Potter, LOR, Willy wonka, ETC are just money pits.
guys: in my never-ending quest to be just like you guys, i had to play the willie wonka slot at my local casino -- and i was awful. playing. 75, i spun about 150 times without a bonus. I got a couple of those dopey oompa loompa features that paid about $8-$14. You need six gobstopper candies to trigger the regular bonus, I think. I'm just going on what I saw on other machines. I had about 8 spins with 5 gobstoppers, but not six. I've never wanted to punch a machine before, but this one had me very annoyed.
I've won handpays at 1.50 Walking Dead, 60 cents on some Konami slot I don't recall the name of, a 50 cent bet on Wicked Winnings 2... it's possible! This slot isn't the worst, but it's pretty low volatility, you get wins often but they're not big and it seems rare to get over 100x. You also didn't get any actual bonus rounds so that didn't help. I prefer the original WW slot but you won't find it anywhere anymore.
One of my best memories was taking my sister to casino when she turned 21 few years back and we played this machine and won $500. Wonka can destroy you or pay out decently
