Is This Park Actually SAFE or NOT? | Six Flags Over Georgia Opening Day Vlog 2024

After my experience at Six Flags Over Georgia on opening day (March 2nd 2024), I had to ask myself if this park is still a place that families can feel safe. There was a shooting in the parking lot at closing time, and lots of chaos inside the park throughout the day. I didn't see anyone get hurt but I did witness a stampede of people running from gunshots as I was exiting the park.
*My heart goes out to anyone who was hurt or injured during the events of the night.

For the most part, seems like you had a great day! Monster Mansion looks a lot fresher than I remembered last year. I’m glad Six Flags is putting in the TLC.

Besides the insanity that popped off, I did have a great time. And the effort put into keeping Monster Mansion looking sharp is giving me hope for my home park. Let me know when you're heading back up this way.

SFOG is my home park and it’s definitely safe to visit in general despite some thinking it’s in a “horrible location”. I’ve never seen any fights breaking during my time visiting the park in the last 10 years I’ve been

The park is safe, but the patrons...... Not so much. A short line on Goliath is ALWAYS A great thing.

The security was lacking. I went there opening day and I didn’t even go through the metal detectors. You know your security sucks when nearby gangs do a better job at protecting people than the people who are paid to protect people

I mean, the cops had to get called on opening day. That’s not a good sign for “safety”. Cedar Fair parks beat out BGW & all of Six Flags for safety. Maybe SF needs to use their capital to improve safety instead of new coasters? I know I wont be visiting until the park improves.

Yes, if you obtain permission from the park. & have some type of harness or something to secure your recording device. Other than those times, they don’t allow it.
