I remember I was on this island last Dec 2022, the vibe is quite different. Few residents and probably more people will settle here in the next decade or so. And yes, I'm planning to buy/build a house as a retirement home in the future. Enjoy your Siargao vacation mate!

Meh,, not a single cultural site to be seen. Waves are average. Better going to Mentawais for uncrowded beaches and surf. Why do Bali need to be compared with this island while Bali has many amazing sibling islands for surf destinations. 😂😂😂😂. Same experience? Buahahhaa. Mentawais blow this siargao soooo far away, yet no Mentawaians claiming their islands better than Bali. I bet you can't prove me wrong.
Did you watch Nias Pro 2024? Now that's what we call proper surf competition, even your marama got big barrels there 😂😂😂, next will be Rip Curl Padang-padang 2024 Bali. Oh, did you see how much better Mentawais by footages of Andi Eigenman & Philmar's vacation at Aloita resort Mentawais this early June, must be painful for you to know that what I've told you is true, right? You don't have any significant cultural sites like Bali, not even your waves on the same calibre, then what is your comparison based from? We have dozens if not hundreds far less crowded islands for surf, yet they don't shamelessly obsessed to compare their island to Bali for tourism gain 😂😂😂.

they always says Phi is a 3rd world country bec urban devt is not that expansive, particularly in provinces, well..urban devt in the Phi is highly regulated by the govt. many parts are protected and many communities put premium on preserving its natural beauty and landscape...and we valued it...
We'll never beat Indonesia in tourists arrivals..if they have 18-20million a year against 3-5million arrivals in the Philippines.. not very nice to compare between the two country they were way too far in thier arrivals
Yeah we totally understand but even though Bali is very beautiful, it has too many tourists and not that cheap especially in touristy areas. Thank you for you insight Larry.
