One of the best things about this channel is Andrew’s most obvious enthusiasm for all things farming...the operating of the cool machinery...every person working together...the seed process....always the customer. Yep...when you love what you do, you have this contented peaceful life. Of course, knowing you always have partners helps a LOT.

It's so AWESOME seeing the tractors working the fields, and the planters, WOW, rows being planted means new life. That much closer to bins of sweet corn, baskets of pea's, it's just exciting. Can't wait to drive down the roads and start seeing the fields start to turn green as the new life pushes it's way up to the sun, one of the good Lord's most beautiful creations. P.S. Those Tomato plants are looking GREAT.

Such a cool piece of equipment! I’ve seen the mulch layer used by flower farmers with black mulch but the clear mulch acting as a mini hoop house is super neat!

For certain areas , or certain vegetables crop or seasons , black mulch is needed. For example, in Winter , better to use black mulch to absorb heat .

The Veggie Boys and their cool toys is always a fun adventure. One thing I thought of watching Daniel preparing the ground for planting was I do hope when he is driving on an actual road that he remembers to use his mirrors and not turn completely around the way he does on the tractor!

Farmers probably felt the same way when they started using equipment with engines, commercial fertilizers, or other advances. Please explain in a future video how you keep such long rows straight.

Back in the 1970s, there was a book called the Whole Earth Catalogue and also the Last Whole Earth Catalogue (ed: Stewart Brand) where the concept of a biodegradable plastic could be made using corn starch. Finally, I hope it's being used extensively now. .. Cheers ..

Over here in the UK many people that plant corn for silage have to use that plastic mulch also, even tho the corn isn't planted until May. As the soil doesn't start to warm up enough till around that time

It's amazing what science comes up with. I've always put plastic over mine and then I pull it up as soon as it gets warm out. I don't call it cheating I call it taking advantage of mother nature

I think a lot of people wish they had grown up with a farming family like that. These videos are enjoyable and inspiring. I bought a bag of snacks and the bag said it was biofriendly and would deteriorate in the earth. So this year, I am going to plant 2/3 of the bag in a pot of soil and check the progress to see if it really does break down.

Hey Andrew. I enjoy the smell of manure in the fields this time of year for fertilzer. Congrats on starting planting your corn with your new planter. I'm not a farmer but years ago my car mechanic lived on a farm and I helped his dad grease the corn planter and run it in the field. I drove the tractor to prepare the planter for actual planting. It was fun driving and waiving to the passing truck drivers on the road next to the field! 😀 Happy Easter to everyone in the Vege Family! 🐣🐥
