Ofc it’s real rock climbing. Ik that a lot of ppl think it’s not and that real rock climbing is outside, but that’s not true. I am on a competitive rock climbing team and I have never gone outdoor climbing. I live in a place where there aren’t any mountains or boulders for me to climb. So yes, that is real rock climbing, it’s just indoor climbing
Dude, too me real rock climbing belongs to the outdoors and I've been climbing both indoor and outdoor for quite a while. There's a huge difference between outdoor and indoor climbing, such as route rating, route finding, fall rating, then you get into trad where you do multipitch and I can keep going on. But irdc since I enjoy both indoor and outdoor climbing cause honestly as long as I get my dose of lead climbling I'm happy. But yeah if you think indoor climbing is real climbing then nothing wrong with that, we all just have different points of views.
This comment makes me sad for the future of climbing. You ask anybody’s that believes these things and history or culture questions and they can’t answer. All they know is to take a sport and make it competitive. Climbing was never supposed to be competitive sport
