The transition to hitbox at first was a little hard. But after 6 weeks I made the adjustment. All I can say is my stepping, dash blocking and inputs are so precise. Feels like there is no delay in the manual input. Also I never ever stuff up a true Korean back dash. Also the comment about wave dashing isn't true. Yes it is hard but I can do it now with a decent speed.
More than decent speed! Faster than both D-Pad and Stick for me. My speed on 2P for the abovementioned are on Advanced Level but on both levels with Mixbox it's faster on both
Depends on what side, wavedash on 1P side is easy as hell but 2P advanced wave dash stuff takes a lot of practice cuz most people aren't used to using their ring and middle finger in that way, anyone who can do a clean ass repeated wave dash into electrics on 2P has practiced a lot, ive heard its easier on mixbox though but idk.
@@Section8dc ??? To Wavedash on 2P side you use your Index and Middle finger, bro. That's why stronger than your Middle-- OH, THAT'S REVERSE MIXBOX!😂 No, you're right. My bad.
Just commenting on my own experience, I remember that for like a week, doing 2P wavedashes was painful and strained my hand until my ring finger would stop being able to lift itself. Then one day I just opened Tekken and it was like my fingers had made some sort of realization and could strainlessly and quickly perform the motions.
@@moosekahuna I went through the same process. I think for me the transition was made easy because I was learning guitar at the exact same time so my fingers already had a level of coordination and strength.
I play Jin and Kazuya on keyboard, doing well. It just has the best precision overall, plus you can do some dirty stuff with SOCD, KBDing like a rocket for example. The only thing that is more difficult on keyboard is instant diagonal inputs, which makes PEWGF and JFSR into three-key just frames. It also requires a just frame input for the wavedash into WS move on Kazuya. Other than that fringe case - stick with keyboards people, they're really good.
@@UltimateBallaPOM for JFSR (and PEWGF), it's basically f, n, d+f+4. Since keyboard/mixbox doesn't have diagonal buttons, you must press down, forward and 4 all at the same time. It is doable, a buddy of mine throws JFSR on keyboard all day. For iWS2, you do f, n, d+f, b+2. You either have to press down and forward at exactly the same time, or be really fast with the b+2.
@@subrezon Can I share with you how I do it? It's slower than the b+2 cancel, so it's harder to do a punish in the case of DVJ with wavu WS2 but it's way easier than having to press d+f at the same time.
@@UltimateBallaPOM I also know that you can do it by doing f, n, d, d+f, d, n, 2. Wavedash, then really quick down, then release and press 2. Slower, but way easier. How do you do it?
@@subrezon VrVr similar to this one actually! F, d, df, HOLD F and hard press d then release d and press 2. I tend to get people with the backdash variant a lot; b, B(hold) hard press d and release then 2. It's much easier but noticeable slower for a punish. But as a 50-50 it's top-tier. I noticed it when I did a dash in to iWS launcher with Ganryu once(f, F(hold) d(release) 2)
Some weird thing w/ HID in device manager. The game gets a seizure (mini freeze and u/b input) everytime you connect or dissconnect a controller. U can try to fix by experimenting what u can disable and what driver needs to be enabled. If you're lucky only disabling HID-compliant game controller might fix the issue. xo
@@aladinimussolini3913 Thank you for the Tip, will try that one out! Using a wired hori pad, while not using other controllers, so I don't know if I expect it to help. No harm in trying though.
Jdcr: "keyboards are good unless u play Mishima's". Me the idiot who is playing Kaz & Hei on keyboard for the past 1.5 years and only managed to reach green ranks. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Depends on the character for me. If i need fast back dash and fuzzy guard so i can be defensive with asuka I go with stick. But if I play Paul, it has to be pad because of quarter circles and sway. Paul is an aggressive asuka
As someone that came from stick I find hitbox to be an overall better way to play IMO but not necessarily easier. Doing advanced wave dash stuff on the 2P side has taken a ton of time and practice as I main Heihachi. On stick the skill required on both sides feels pretty equal but on hitbox almost everything is a lot easier on 1P than 2P in my experience.
Is it actually more enjoyable playing on a Hit Box than an actual Stick? Or you're telling me Daigo and Tokido switch to Hitbox because they don't like Lever...
Instead of buying a whole mixbox you can get a Odin V2 and mod any other fightstick you have with it. Instant Mixbox. Really easy to install provided you can open the stick and remove the lever. I turned my Hitbox Crossup into a Mixbox Crossup lol.
Keyboard buttons sensitivity (you can press both buttons with one hand and many times it will register double input if the pressing force is even slightly off) of course you can map second keyboard and have double df inputs
hit box = input 4 direction same time Game pad = only "separate direction buttom" gamepad can input more than 1 direction fighting Joystick = input 1 direction only keyboard = same as hitbox(less Comfort) , 4 direction same time so i agree hitbox and separate direction buttom gamepad, keyboard should be ban in tournament .
Why you guys mad with a joke lol hitbox been around for so long I don’t care anymore. I do think that if a move drastically changes how consistent moves balanced around execution can be performed, this balance aspect should be revised. I see a lot of people on street fighter been making the transition lately.
I still think the hitbox is not necessarily fair because it allow for things that are not possible in sticks and pads, like side stepping inwards from crouch. Or insta flashkicks from crouch in sfv. If a move was designed having a specific set of controllers in mind, and something comes in “breaking” those rules, it is not exactly fair. But as long as it is allowed in tournament, you should definitely take advantage of it, if you think it will improve your chances of winning.
