The main factor is the language barrier in kashmir mostly people understand kashmiri language(mother tongue) and few urdu.Food shops in lal chowk get closed early around 6 PM. There are few restaraunts which are open in night and can serve you veg. You didnt have proper guidence thats why you had to cross the same bridge twice. I hope next time you visit kashmir you have proper guide. Thanks ❤
You will understand why India is best when you complete whole India tour. people need to be open minded to feel India. We are different than any part of the world. Pakistan may be good but India will be always different and unique which you can't anywhere in the world. When you finish this tour , you would be surprised how the hell this vast country run peacefully than many neighbours.
That is NOT an army truck. It's a CRPF truck as written in bold letters. CRPF is Central Reserved Police Forces. Army is NOT deployed within city or town. They are called to city/town based on specific intelligence inputs of presence of armed terrorists who are located inside cities/towns. Army doesn't do policing activities.
Some army camps were removed from srinagar city before 2016 but after 2019 srinagar has more army presence that it has ever seen. Kashmir was always peaceful. It depends on respective govts to show what serves there cause. All bad stuff happening in kashmir is coz of govts. Kashmir has seen best of it's times when vajpayi was the PM of India.

Man you went from Dalgate which has all the food dhabas, and instead went to Lal Chowkh and Amira Kadal upto Mahraj bazar to find food street 😂. Totally wrong direction to take. You had to take right at Dalgate towards Nehru park instead of going left upto lLal chowk.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the directional chaos, actually there is no vegan street food in sringar and at the evening time, most of the street vendors are closed and people are not misleading you, it is just they don't understand exactly what you are looking for. And for the military part, it is because kashmir is a disputed state and hence militarised, all the indians commenting here are trying to impose their opinions on us😂. just ignore them. @@CrosshairOp what's illegal? As far as, I know India has legal documents for accession of kashmir. And it's decided that the population will be exchanged. So if any Muslim wanted to live under islamic Shariah, he/she had to migrate to the territory of Pakistan like Hindus and sikhs of Punjab and Bengal had to do, even though it was Muslims' dream of making a Shariah under khilafat, not the innocent Hindus and sikhs.
