I fell back in love with Yu-Gi-Oh 3 years ago playing legacy of the duellist on my Xbox. Now I have binders of cards I’ve collected and 2 meta decks and me and 6 of my friends meet up for duel night every week. Sam you are one of the people that really got me back into collecting, learning the current mechanics and then making a deck! My favourite card is Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, he is a beast, my friends don’t enjoy seeing him on the board haha! Keep it up Sam, you make the best content bro!
I love when how Sam reacts when he get cards that's make him go insane. It's priceless. And how much effort he puts in making the camera focus on the cards. Love your content
I remember these! I loved Joey’s world! My favorite card is easily Endymion, the master magician! I loved the concept of spell counters when it came out.
My favorite Duel Monsters card is EASILY Red-Eyes! How can ya not love him and how awesome his design is? My favorite Yu-Gi-Oh card ever tho is without a doubt Borrelend Dragon! Mans is a freaking menace!! All in all tho I gotta say I love your channel so freaking much and every time you upload, I can't help but smile. Keep doing what you're doing Sam, we all love you man!
My favorite card is Dark Paladin, I remember when I was a kid I used to play with my brother, he used a deck with anime cards that Kaiba used and I used what Yugi used and I always liked it when I fused my Dark Magician with Buster Balder to get Dark Paladin out and win the duel.
I remember opening one pack of this set from one of those Walmart Power cubes back then, I got a secret BLS - Envoy of the Beginning, one of my favorite cards of all time, this set is crazy.
Damn this was ten years ago? I bought at least 5 of these boxes when it came out and even have an unboxing video from back then on my channel. Can't believe it's been so long.
Started watching the anime & the card game both when they 1st came out in the US & my favorite card was Dark Magician, but it took so long for them to release all the awesome support cards that he has today (many that you would see played in the anime) so he was kind of useless for years. Haha
As A Old-School Guy My Favorite Card Is Blue Eyes White Dragon! God Knows I Have Lots Of Cards I Love Since I Have Collected Yu-Gi-Oh Cards Since The Beginning. However That Was The First Iconic Card That Started It All. Best To You Sam And ALL Of This Great Community Of Yu-Gi-Oh Players And Collectors.
Looking at these nostalgic yugioh sets are pretty epic!! But my favorite duel monster is silent magician I remember bits and pieces of the episode but It’s a heartfelt card to me because I pulled her before my Dad passed away Yu-Gi-Oh always brings me back to my childhood memories thanks sam!! 🤩😁
I’ve gotten back into Yugioh after 17 years and my first purchases after almost 2 decades was Dark Magician 1st edition LCYW. I’ve also tracked down Buster Blader and Dark Paladin (both 1st edition, LCYW) to tick off that set. Honestly Sam I stumbled onto your channel and your passion and love for Yugioh gave me flashbacks of when me and my best mate in HS would sneak off at gym and duel. I look now and don’t understand why I quit it. I like duelling, but there is nothing like buying a booster box and pulling that one card that would make your collection more bad a**! Anyway so thankful I’ve come across your channel Sam and look forward to many more pack openings for the both of us. Cheers mate! 💯🔥🤙🏻
Sup Sam we met a few years back at Frank n Sons in So Cal. My favorite duel monster is Blue Eyes because I love how excited you get whenever Blue Eyes gets new support. Love your energy dude! Especially how you sniff cards I always crack up xD Also, I know a few videos back you said your New Year's resolution was to lose weight but dude I can tell you're working hard! Keep it up Sam lookin good bro! :D
Favorite DM monster easily is DMG. I grew up on DM and GX and I always loved that card along with Elemental HERO Stratos! I remember in 2013 I pulled both DMG and DMoC and I immediately double sleeved them and put them in top loaders! Still have them to this day! They are amazing value now compared to the entire Yugi's World Box being $30 at the time, but I would never sell them as they are sentimental to me and some of my precious cards in my collection. :)
My favourite card has always been Rallis the Star Bird. So many memories. In Italian it was weirdly translated, and we misinterpreted it as multiplying its attack by 200 for each level of the monster it battles instead of adding 200. It was practically unbeatable. Plus the art is really cool without overdoing, which is always a plus.
My Favorite Monster card is Blue Eyes White Dragon. My first Yu-gi-oh card / deck I ever bought was Kaibas Starter Deck for $20 at a card shop in Santa Ana California and it was and still is something that I enjoy collecting and being around yu-gi-oh cards 💙
Great video! My favorite all time Duel card always Blue Eyes White Dragon! That Buster Blader card was pretty sick so is that Dragon Master Knight. Sweet cards awesome you were able to get your hands on that box. The thrill of opening had to be crazy ! Thanks for sharing!
Ever since watching 5ds years ago I fell in love with Blackwings. If I had to choose one it would have to be Blackwing Full Armor Master. He looks badass and has saved me in duels against friends.
Sometimes I can imagine the smell of those cards while seeing them. Sounds crazy but I can't deny it. I just love it. Witchcrafter Madame Verre became my favorite after learning the deck. She's just so good with her 2 quick effects. She can boost the ATK of any spellcaster (including Dark Magician Girl) during dmg calculation by just revealing any number of spells from the hand, and an insane monster effects negation.
Really appreciate you spending your money and opening such a rare product on this channel. It was truly amazing... Personally as a consumer and a Yu-Gi-Oh fan though, I would not spend that kind of money just for nostalgia or for a chance to pull one card. And my all-time favourite duel monsters card has to be the Cyber Dragon!
My favourite OG duel monsters card has always been summoned skull. So iconic, badass and ultimately severely underrated. The first episode of yugioh I watched was the episode when summoned skull appeared and absolutely demolished Weevil and Ultimate Great Moth, that moment had me in absolute shock and awe it was an amazing moment that I will never forget and I wish summoned skull was more appreciated in modern tcg then it actually is.
My all time favorite has to be Winged Dragon of Ra. I remember having to memorize the chant yu gi did “in order” to summon it. Turns out it wasn’t a requisite. Kindof stupid but still epic when a 10 year old kid started doing the chant 🤦♂️😂
The red Dark Magician has always been my favorite card in terms of looks, it’s super original. It also makes me look back at the original in purple attire
Favorite monster card is dark necrofear, had a very nice ability and is just one of my overall favorite cards Favorite spell card has got to be emergency provisions, cannot stress how much this card can save you in a tough spot Favorite trap is a bit of an overpowered one, it is called sinister yorishiro, and it allows you to summon a fiend type monster regardless the level every turn, and can be used as insurance if a monster gets destroyed, no catch at all. Having a fiend deck with this helps a lot so
My favorite card was Dark Magician. I remember when I first started playing Yugioh I was watching Yugioh and modeled my deck after Yugis in the show. This set brings back so many memories.
My favorite Yugioh dm monster was always big shield Gardna! A bit of a weird pick, but using him as a defensive wall back in the day saved me so many times, he really shined in the playground format
Not even close, my favorite card EVER from YuGiOh is the Red Eyes Black Dragon. Still remember how important it was too me when I got one as a kid, then again as a grown up!
my favourite yugioh monster card is dark chimera, as a child I only owned a few yugioh dvds and I loved the panik episodes! the fight with the castle of dark illusions, the fiends hiding in the shadows and the Infamous catapult turtle flotation ring shenanigans... whats not to love, from paniks monsters one that always stood out to me was dark chimera with is dumb 1610 attack and 1460 defense on a level 5 normal monster, its a shame that he never got a English release like his brothers barox and king of yamimakai but I made sure to pick up a OCG one for my panik/bonz deck.
I remember as a kid I had one of these sealed and left it on top of my dresser and thinking if I should open it. All I wanted was a exodia limb for some reason and pulled the DMG last pack. Still have it to this day!
Hey Sam. Super cool to see this opening. Been getting back into Yugioh over the last year and have loved following along with all your content. My favorite YGO DM card is Dark Paladin by far. It started my love for DM fusions, and that's only been made better by the introduction of Dragoon recently. Thanks as always!
My favorite card is either red eyes black dragon or jinzo. The original prints of those cards are so nostalgic for me and Joey was my favorite character growing up.
This set has a special place in my heart, I bought this when the Legendary Collection of Kaiba came up alongside it and the Legendary Collection of Joey, Yugi gave me over all good card (Solemn Judgment, ROTA, Pot of Greed, Senju) and Joey too (Solemn Judgment, Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon, Etc) but Kaiba just gave me pure crap, like just vanilla monsters, reprints of the promos and some random critias stuff, but man, 2 Solemn Jugments, I was really happy. Ps: My favorite Duel Monster must be Harpie Lady, I always liked her design and I had so much fun playing my Harpie Deck in real life and DL.
Recently bought my first booster boxes and it's super fun to open when you are chilling or streaming it to other people. My absolute favorite card I pulled was probably Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon
For my 2 favorites is Blue-Eyes White and Chaos Max Dragon. In fact my very first card I ever got back in 2003 or 2005 was Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, and I have had Blue-Eyes as my ultimate favorite ever since.
I stopped playing Yugioh right about the time Pendulum summons started. We just found three Duel Terminal Skill Drain cards (in mint condition) we collected at the local card shop.
The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche is my favorite card. I mean, it was the boss monster of the first ever yu-gi-oh product that i ever opened ( Legendary hero decks ). Phantom knights just rock! Btw for the sniff gang out here, the smell was extraordinary ;)
Loved this opening because these are the cards that were used during the time I played YuGiOh! (and still does with those old format cards). You guessed my favorite card, it is the vanilla art Celtic Guardian. If Link would have a brother it would be Celtic Guadian :)
I bought so many of these, back in the day, trying to pull Three-legged Zombie and Two-Headed King Rex. All I wanted was nostalgia cards. Pulled everything that was worth money at the time, but never got either one of them from the packs.
Tough call, I always loved the classic Blue-Eyes card art and Red Eyes Darkness Dragon, but I might have to say Blue-Eyes Shining dragon; that card has a special place in my heart. I was so excited to have the movie promo version of the card as a kid.
My favorite card of all time definitely would have to be Red Eyes Black Dragon. It was the first card I ever owned back in 2003 or 04. Will forever hold a special place in my heart.
My friend got me back to collecting these awesome cards. My favorite card was the dark magician since in the anime it showed it’s great power’s when needed. I started watching your vids because it reminded me of myself when my mother couldn’t buy me a deck when they first came out and watching you buy lots of packs brings back nice childhood memories. Awesome content
My favorite card has always been Skull Servent, he has always been an underdog and I loved seeing him get the support he deserved not too long ago and still getting support semi-recently with wightbaking
I opened this when it came out, I had no idea it would end up being this expensive later on! My favorite card was pre-errata Chaos Emperor Dragon, Envoy of the End.
My favourite card in yugioh is Guardian Eatos - ever since Raphael beat Yugi who I thought was invincible as a kid, which shocked me to my core back then, and then with Eatos last strike, I thought she was beautiful. Also that duel was incredible, the roles were reversed and Raphael was the good guy, what a good script
Never could afford to get one of these boxes. It's so cool to see it opened! the DM card is definitely going to be slifer the sky dragon always thought it was the coolest looking (as well as having best effect in my opinion) of the Egyptian gods.
One of my favorite cards right now is Harpie Channeler. I have been using it a lot in my decks for Harpie's. Always loved Mei. I hope i can win that LART, one of my favorites and I was't able to snag one. Thanks Sam!
Buster Blader is my favorite duel monster card. I never had one when I was younger but constantly tried to get one to crush blue eyes players. Great pull btw 😎
I remember opening this at my card shop. Fun stuff and cool pulls. But my favorite yugioh card will forever be winged kuriboh. From the debut to the lvl 10 and lvl 9 phew too adorable and helped me out of several jams back in the day
Favorite card is Great Maju Garzett. I used to run this in my oldschool beatdown deck back in 2005. Would sac a summoned skull for this thing and have a 5000 atk power beatstick for just 1 sac.
My favorite card from the series is Dark Necrofear when I saw Ryo Bakura play it for the first time I knew I had to have that card. It was my first “chase card” and my first secret rare too. Still have her to this day.
Years back me and mates opened these as one of us bought 3 or more, cheap and nostalgic we couldn’t complain.. called our mate reprint boy for a bit lol different story now with the prices of some cards he owns! Appreciate the content bringing back memories 😂👏🔥 he pulled everythingx2 I’m sure and paid £20-30 for box crazy to think!
Awesome to see you open something that I was never able to get since back then I was not able to get one! Fave card is stardust dragon and all of its powered up versions!
This is so nostalgic for me. I have to say my favorite card from this Era was maybe Dark paladin. Back in the day I kicked ass with that card in my dark magician themed deck.
Remember seeing this back in the day at Walmart. I already knew my mother wouldn’t buy it for me. I never even asked I would just leave the store with the look of sadness. Clearly now I regret it. I might’ve had a $300 card in my drawer
Been watching for like 5 years or something keep up the good work making players smile and thanks for sharing with the community. Favorite card is lightpulsar
I would say that DMG ended up being a very close favorite of mine, and its mostly for sentimental reasons. When I was younger I had a local tournament that gave packs to the winner.. and iirc, it was one of the first few sets that DMG was released in... and when I won with my jank aggro deck (since I was a young kid at the time), I was able to win and pull the Magician girl herself.. and she's a card that I've pretty much kept since as a keep-sake to remind me of that first tournament..
Hands down Cyber Dragon, such an awesome card, and Cyber dragons is such a fun deck to play, really gets me enthusiastic at 2am in the morning playing with my mate.
I'm sorry, But by far, my favorite card has to be a tie between a 1000 eyes restrict or The Winged dragon of Ra. When I was a kid, they used to play the original yugioh on tv i think on cartoon network, and by far, I loved Pegasus and Marik, they were such cool villains', and there monsters seemed unbeatable (which is funny now cuz they could be beaten by literally war rock lol). By far they had the biggest impact on me and really got me into yugioh.
My favorite card is red eyes black dragon original print from way back when. First seeing it in the anime when Joey got it from rex and it continued to help him and yugi progress. Then actually owning the first prints of it, I loved the art work for it. Now I love that it is supported very well with cards like red eyes b chick, red eyes darkness dragon and red eyes metal dragon
My favorite card has to be Levia Dragon Daedalus. Water was the first cohesive deck I ever played, and it was my go-to against my brothers' Dragon and Fiend decks.
My fav card of all card will have to be cyber dragon. Only cause the fact who don't like a FREE SUMMON GOING SECOND. THANKS SAM FOR EVERYTHING YOU BRING IN THIS YUGIYO COMUINTEY. JUST BEEN STARTING OFF THE YEAR RIGHT! KEEP DOING WHAT U DO BEST! LOVE YA SAM
My favourite Card is my first Stardust Dragon in secret rare (limited Edition). Unfortunaltely I was young and didn‘t protect the card well and it has a kink in it. Neverthenless my absolute favourite one!
Firstly love the channel and it's so nice you have not become like S/Unlucky as it feels like he sold out.....your channel is always great and you have not forgotten what made you start this channel...as to my favourite card..it's easily Cyberjar....
These were great to get. I would open one and be excited to see whatever I would pull. My favorite card probably has to be Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. First time I saw Zexal, Kite stood out to me and Galaxy is still a deck I play for fun.
