Vote with your dollars. I would have driven to another gas station and refused to spend one single penny at that store. Not one. That sign means "don't shop here" to me.

Here in Colorado, a lot of hunters, ranchers, farmers, gun owners, mom & pop real estate investors, energy folks, and others had sat out the last election because they felt their votes didn’t matter. As a result, we ended up with wolf reintroduction, a possible ban on mountain lion hunting, a bevy of proposed gun laws, some new gun laws, landlord rights to evict being impeded, pressure on the energy industry, etc. Those votes do matter. For example: The wolf reintroduction referendum passed by a narrow margin. Had more hunters, ranchers and others voted then the reintroduction would not have occurred.

That New Mexico governor needs to go.

I am voting for Trump. for several reasons, I support the second amendment, but I committed a felony in 1992 and am no longer allowed to own a firearm. but I do not agree with abortion, giving sex changes to children, allowing criminals to run rampant without repercussion, celebrating deviant sexual choices and having illegal; aliens flood into our country unheeded ! as for the firearm thing..... I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 ! when the government no longer follows the law, I see no reason to do so either.

New Mexico is a shall-issue state for the concealed carry of handguns and permits the open carry of loaded firearms without a permit. I am not sure what the sign was about, I would have asked the attendant.

The problem is that the law wouldn't have to be so draconian (see what's about to happen in Massachusetts) if our right-leaning elected would just accept that there is a crisis in America regarding the craycrays; who are allowed to purchase firearms then go out and commit mass shootings. So the solution becomes draconian laws to prohibit the proliferation of pewpews in the hands of the wrong people by prohibiting them in the hands of all people. It didn't have to be this way, but thoughts and prayers by Ted Cruz doesn't mean much to a family that just lost a loved one in a mass sh00ting.

I live in rural New Mexico. It’s the cities like Santa Fe and Albuquerque that ruin it when it comes to voting. I can’t stand our governor or government. Not all New Mexicans but a lot like free handouts and that is what keeps these democrats in power over here.

I lived in New Mexico in the early 80s. I had to leave for a job opportunity. It is a beautiful state with a good climate. It is sad what has happened to that once great state.

In Britain we just had our national election overnight. Quite a rough and tough campaign as all elections are, mudslinging, untruths, bold promises that we all know will never happen.....the usual. The outgoing Conservative Prime Minister accepted that he'd lost, resigned and apologised to the nation for the problems during his time in office. The new leader of the Country went to Buckingham palace and informed King Charles that he wishes to run the Country, and the King gave his blessings (we're a Kingdom, we have Royal traditions). Kier Starmer, the new PM is moving into number 10 Downing Street (our version of the White house) right now, a couple of hours after millions upon millions of votes were cast and counted. The outgoing party was in power for 14 years, today begins with a completely new government. And that's it, done, dusted and everything settled for four or five years Our election scrutiny and safeguarding is exactly as robust as America's election processes.....no better, no worse. It doesn't matter who wins. Don't like the result? Vote them out next time. 1000 years of Britishness won't be ruined by any governing party over the course of four or five years. Our history, our democracy, our values are far too entrenched for that. The important thing, above all else - above winning and losing elections, is exercising your right to vote. Vote! use your voice. Many Countries don't have free elections like Britain and America - don't let down your ancestors who fought for your right to vote.

Sometimes there are more of them then us and they dictate the terms.

There’s a few ignorant comments here, people who obviously don’t know New Mexico. Regarding statutes, excepting a brand new 7-day waiting period enacted this year ours are very pro-2A, the problem is our current governor, and the thousands of people moving here every year from California who are extreme leftists following their specific agenda and attempting to change our ways of life and historic values. Not just regarding mlg’s hasty attempt at unconstitutional firearms policies, also most other issues across the board. New Mexico is a red state with three blue cities, each of which are littered with high crime areas as a result of the liberal policies of these cities’ local governance. Breaking bad, for example, was located in Burque for legitimate reasons. New Mexico also is not all desert, it’s quite green here with lots of mountains and forested acreage, with the deserts encompassing of the southern third of the state.

Texas here. We have the 30.06 signs prohibiting carry at various gas stations, and I've even seen one at a big truck stop gas station. It really depends where in Texas you're at, though.
