But it's soooo a long way for a one-man-deveoper to go. Spore is a really complex game, I don't know, but I'm a bit pessimistic about this project.

They literally shut down the servers, almost any dev at valve could just work on TF2, spore is a corpse walking

No update for 13 years because the original studio that made it, Maxis, has been long disbanded. EA devoured them. I remember them trying to revitalize the brand with Darkspore a while back and that didn't do a damn thing for it as it tried to be a Diablo clone with a Spore re-skin. The official servers for Spore have been gutted but unofficial servers still exist, because fuck EA.

I'm a fan of both games, and I'm very sad that Spore won't be updated anymore.

@@Toji_Fushiguro405 They theoretically can, but we aren't breaking any of EA's patents and own the usage rights for all resources used in EE, so there's nothing to worry about.

@@Wauzmons well seeing as there are some spore like games that ea can sue but they didn't, it looks they aren't bothering to sue.

As a fan of adapt, it confusing but if you play for a couple hours, to adult it becomes very fun

Yeaaah, than there is that other game called Thrive which has been in development since 2015, and they are STILL only at the Cell Stage because they focused on basically making it a simulator of biology rather than an actual game. I have to wonder if the work put into these projects will ever be worth it. I just can't see it ever being FUN to play and the chances of it ever being complete (cell to space stage) are basically zero. It's just going to be an over-complicated project that's appreciated by biology nerds. It feels weird to associate these types of games with Spore. I get some people wanted a more realistic take on Spore, but some of these people are taking it too far, and setting impossible standards for themselves and straying from what Spore was at it's core; a fun sandbox game. I'd rather see a game that improves upon what Spore was, instead of making it something it isn't. Toning down the cartoonishness is fine, but focus on making it a GAME first, a simulator second.

when a playable version of this game is released, I absolutely will do a series on it! :) Right now all we can do is make creatures in it and walk around the sandbox mode, but like I went over in the end of the video, the future looks bright for this game and I am definitely excited for it! :D
