Plus I think it would benefit your views because people can’t really relate to just concrete all the time they like to see and relate to people.
Wood stakes for soft ground are superior. They hold better. The work will look nicer. I use steel stakes for harder or rocky ground. Or for footings that don't have to look nice
Why? Because they can read a level, is it on grade? Why would I want a level concrete pad allowing water to stand against the foundation of the existing structure? Is this supposed to make sense, if so it escapes me?
Who the f would slope a front door entry from side to side. It clearly has slope down and away from the front door. Your asking for a bird bath against the foundation if you slope to the sides here
By running a string across the board before he pounds in that stake to make sure it straight first and send a nail after it's level less it needs to pitch the water away then usually 8th to Qtr bubble
He can certainly hammer in a support stake and set the form on level. It remains to be seen how skillful a concrete crew they are, although this is a good start!
I used to do all kinds of work when I came to this country, including concrete work (which is not difficult). Anyone can learn that job. Nowadays, when I compare my calculus and algebra classes to this kind of labor... it makes me laugh 😂.

The video is just missing him screwing the stake to the form he’s checking the level of the board then he will fasten the stake to the board and then he can hammer it to adjust the level
Any Basic construction worker can do this. I have done construction for over 10 years and it's relatively simple to hammer a stake in the ground and level a form. 😂
Man the real good ones are dead or don’t get shown as much . My pops was a beast in construction. Building houses , floors , pools , you name it . I remember going to the mansions as a little kid to go see the work he would do . Great memories I won’t take for granted. Rip to my hero / legend
