PJ Washington has to be an elite role player like how derrick white is for the celtics. mavs has no legit 3rd option last ssn and pj was considered to be that guy. now that klay is here PJ's scoring will not much be needed and his role will turn into DJJ where he's gon be the defensive liability covering up klay and must be able to knockdown threes everytime he has the ball.
@@iMacaroniCheese You're very knowledgeable about the Mavs. Our issue is PJ can't shoot 30% from three and be a starter. Celtics had 5 starters who all could average 15PPG+. PJ's the least skilled starter with Luka/Kyrie/Klay/Lively. I'd experiment with Melvin Ajinca before PJ
One major positive is that Mavs back up 5 could be starting 5 on other teams. Mavs have the luxury of having enough key players that if Kyrie or Luka is out for any reason they can still win games. Many other teams don’t have that option. If Shai is out for 10 or more games OKC is a play in team. If Curry is out Golden State is a lottery team. You can check that for almost every team except the Celtics.
Honestly all the hate on Timmy was justified because he was way too damn inconsistent set alarm cold streaks and then just out of nowhere at morning Pointe game when we don't need it
