Just picked one up! Thanks for sharing! Now my pockets will be free of tangled line and I can feel confident I'm leaving minimal traces in my favorite streams. More than happy to support this product and your channel! (For those in the US, I Almost reconsidered based on the exchange rate. The web store lists the price around 53 NZ dollars for both the product and shipping which converts to $38.44 USD... well worth it! )
I saw the total cost in NZD, and figured that if I bought a few more, I could split the shipping fee. So I got 4, which turns out to about $24 USD with shipping included. I will give out one for a Christmas gift and offer up the other two for sale locally here in Washington State. Thanks Alex for doing this “Friday Filler”.
Brilliant idea. I am always struggling with my tippet garbage. I keep all mine - because i can not stomach seeing garbage in waters - but it just litters my packs and creates frustration. I will definitely be ordering one.
Fantastic product Alex,if only people would stop littering!!!!!! I am a golfer too and carry a small bag for picking up rubbish dumped on the ground by thoughtless jerks.Anyway good luck with this really clever gadget great idea HATS OFF TO YOU BOTH.
Ordered 2 - nice Xmas present for my cousin I fish with! I always found removing the nylon from the trash fish a bit of a pain so love the design…. Price is very reasonable too. Nice work!
I haven't personally used the monomaster, but the way it holds the line inside is similar. The Trash Stash is a two piece design and I've made it the width of your hand. The inner spool is attached to the end cap of the spool. That snaps onto the outer shell casing, so there isn't much chance of it coming out. I personally didn't like the "stick" of the Monomaster as it isn't as ergonomic and would become more difficult to turn as the spool fills up with line. I made sure the end cap of the Trash Stash is large enough and knurled so that you can use it on those cold mornings when your fingers are wet. Those are just a few of the design ideas that went into it.
A really cool part. But the shipping costs to Switzerland are just too high. But when I, after twice postponed the trip due to the pandemic, in December / January 21/22 in New Zealand, I will buy this part and send to my vacation address in Turangi.
This is probably cuz I'm old and not very tech-savvy but I cannot figure out how to order this cool product!? I think it's a fantastic idea and every angler should have one!!!👍👍👍

Hey Alex, I've been waiting for you guys to finish these and was so excited. But it's $28 to mail 2 to the U.S.? Wow... I have a pal in Australia, and I know it's expensive to ship back and forth, so maybe I'll wait until you have a U.S. distributor? or until Amazon carries it? Or? That's a LOT to ship something that probably weighs 50grams.
Hey there, I'm the "Eric" buddy of Alex. Unfortunately, shipping from NZ is quite expensive. Right now I'm just a small business starting off. If we expand with shops/distributors in the USA I'll be sure to put those options on my website. Thanks for understanding, I'm a home business at the moment.
I was ready to order one but it said my shipping was going to be 28 bucks. I believe in it a lot but I'm not paying that much for shipping. Let me know if there was a mistake in the order
There was a more professional looking one of these a few years back, can't remember the name of it. It wasn't a 3d print. Exact same functionality though, looks like they probably didn't have a patent.
@@Toddcm The printers are running every day. I'll be releasing stock in weekly batches right now and have wait lists based on the "notify me when back in stock" function of the site. I'll contact those people first and let them know of the up-coming stock.
Hey there. I'm the creator of the Trash Stash. PayPal will let you pay via credit card without having a paypal account. Underneath the log-on details of paypal there is the option "Pay with Debit or Credit card". Thanks for your interest.
@@ericyamashita7273 Are you networking to get a distributor/retailer in the United States? I just hit the link, and after shipping its $53.00. I think this is a wonderful product, and will sell well for those of who care about conservation. Thank you.
Thanks @@chasingbrowns. This is my first product launch but I'm based out of NZ. If there is enough interest (and it sure looks like there is) then I'll reach out to a few potential fishing shops for US distribution. But right now, I produce these out of my own home on small batch 3d printing.
