Thanks Will. Just purchased a Severne Fox 120L v2 a few months ago. I love it, but it’s way too good for my ability. I snapped the front off of a Starboard Go 141L at the end of last summer. I was making lots of progress, but optimistically jumped forward to a more intermediate board… maybe slightly too early as my progress has slowed right down. As for current goals, Consistent - tacking, tried - foot straps, new - gybing. Sorry if they are not quite the fancy freestyle moves that you were hoping for, but I guess everything is relative and even after 30+ years, I’m still a beginner. Been following your channel for a while, I’m enjoying the new content seeing your more regular updates and clips from Vass. Hope the you have a fantastic summer!

Thanks Anthony! Your 3 goals sound great and like you say fancy freestyle is not for everyone so it's important to pick 3 that make sense for you. Thanks for following the channel for so long, I really appreciate it.

Just bought Fox v2, 120L. Partly because of you. I saw your first review of Fox appr five years ago. Then last autumn had a chance to try it and immediately knew I had to get one for myself.

Bought a Severne fox six months ago. It is simply the most fun board I have ever owned in 30 years of windsurfing.

Hey there Will, Vas looks class. I may start to do the Lotto. Consistent - Fast tack Tried - Helitack New - Slamjybe I sail on relatively small lakes in Cavan, Ireland so being able to turn on a sixpence can save a lot of fins and tears!!!! I'm back windsurfing in the last couple of years after a long break. Slowly upgrading gear piece by piece. Struggling to get power down into the board in light winds. You know when you're out and you know you should be planning but it just isn't happening. I'm lucky to get winds above 10 knots, gusts 15-17. So I'd love to see a tutorial or getting planning in lighter winds. If you had the time. Otherwise, keep the clips coming, I enjoying the all. Rory.

Thanks Rory! Thanks for the suggestion, getting planning in lighter winds is such a useful skill. I'll add it to the list.

nice work Will! I guess you need to pump to get up on that foil in the lighter winds...?

I’m not sure what board I have as I got it second hand from a club near me that was restocking at the end of the season (I got the entire kit for €250 which was awsome because I was renting before and spending more than that in a summer) I’ve been surfing for about 3 years but only in the summers because I haven’t found a place near me in England yet. I can tack and gybe and power gybe (I think it’s called that) very consistently and have this week learned to helitack and can do it consistently (when the wind allows) but I was wondering at what level I should get to before investing in some newer/better equipment (obviously the stuff is great for the price but the boom falls down the mast very consistently etc I think because they are mismatched equipment)

I personally think it's worth it to buy some "newer" gear as soon as you can. It doesn't have to be brand new because that can get quite expensive but buying better condition is worth it and the second hand market is very good. If it were me I'd be looking to get 1 board that can cover a big wind range and 1 full rig (sail, mast, boom, ext, UJ) that works well and then build out from there (that's what I did).

Hi! Nice review, have you ever tried the V2 fox? With the new versione they changed the outline shape (more parallel) and the tail width: do you find that the new version is a bit more "speed oriented" instead of a more agile and chop oriented board?

I never tried the V2 so I couldn't say for sure but it certainly feels very quick. Would be interesting to do a comparison
