I’ve had mine for a few years too! I have a theory that things get better with time. Of course there’s always a toss out point. To bad you couldn’t send your pick somewhere, when it’s perfectly worn to that perfect shape. Then that place could copy it and send a bunch back. I’d pay hundred bucks for that!
I have the dsl 2000 50w i bought it not working. But it was in really good condition. So i bought it and bought the latest revision motherboard as it has alot of the known problems addressed and i bought a new set of JJ tubes. Biased them up. And its been a solid reliable amp.
The best pick is a standard shape (Fender/Dunlop) with two holes bored like eyes. It will never slip or turn even if your fingers are sweating. I got the idea from a "Jason mask" pick I bought for laughs.
@@squeenzees Towards the top as if they were eyes. You can drill them at any angle or position if you don't hold the pick traditionally. Pro tip: make sure the pick is secured firmly when drilling so it doesn't move.
I use the same tortex 1.14 as Ayla. Always been using them. But i did experiment a lot with different picks. Currently i've been testing the white fang 1.14 by James Hetfield. I gotta say, they're pretty good.
I prefer the sound of Tortex but it's just too slippery for me, and for some mysterious reason, they don't make Tortex picks with grip like they do Ultex. And no, I'm not going to use sandpaper or put holes in them myself.
My pick was free. Not because I haven't paid for loads of them, just because the universe loves a laugh. Spent ages trying to find the right pick. My favourite one turned up with a pedal. It's unbranded and doesn't have any information printed on it. Ha ha universe. Ha. Ha.
Same! I found a fiesta red color one at a local guitar shop on an amp, no brand but with a weird cut off corner. Can’t find anything like it. But it’s my fave. That and a red fender medium tortoise shell which I’m not sure the number thickness of
