@@AnTa2910 at the end of the day they are CONTROLLERS. It’s like if xbox had a third party controller and it only worked on series x but not xbone. It would be weird.

Same, this is the 4th one ive reviewed and my 5th leverless overall. The one i never reveiwed was one that used sanwa buttons and it was my least favorite. Switches is deff the way to go imo

I was looking for a third leverless but not as a custom project. My first two are selfmade 3D printed cases with brookboards inside and sanwa buttons. Theyre „ok“ but i want one more „professional”? Any recommendations? I heard the mpress and snackbox are good but there always sold out. My choices right now are kitsune or victrix leverless or what do you guys think?

@@sirfuzzy4392 i’d go kitsune over victrix any day. Not a fan of sanwa buttons anymore and that’s what is on the victrix. It’s also more $ for not much more benefits besides even better build quality?

@@sirfuzzy4392 it's really hard to say since everyone's preference will differ. For me, I got so used to my work's MacBook keys that I felt like the kitsune was a very comfortable transition. The red switches don't have that feedback on press like you would on the more mechanical types.... But then there's people that love the clicks when typing/playing. The actuation on the razer reds are so well shortened/calibrated that I don't need to feel the response, and I prefer as silent of an experience as possible. I know the mpress and others you can swap the switches, but there's something extra done on razers that makes them more responsive. My victrix is super sensitive. I had swapped the buttons but think they're in the same line as the originals. The downside with that one, outside of price, is that it's a huge shell for something that doesn't need the space. But.... In my gaming chair it sets up the height on my lap just perfectly aligned to the arm rests. I do miss that comfy position. I will get it laser etched sometime down the line, as it's something I want to keep for collection. There's so many options out there ever since companies like pcbway made it easy to get custom boards built out. Gonna see how it turns out, as I want to try out the best of 3 worlds. A bit of the kitsune, a bit snackbox/mpress, and adding the L3+R3 to the layout.... Or wait till one of the companies makes one like that.

Thats why i printed my own cases, so they fit on my lap in my chair. But their stil chunky in height cause of the buttons and the click, clack start to feel annoying tbh. Thanks for the advice guys. I will buy the kitsune even if its more expensive in europe 🙄

@@valhallaoutcastHitbox controllers are also freaking expensive, Same with Victrix, had to pay 640 Canadian dollars to get my fs12, Hori High-end gear are also as expensive as Razer Kitsune, in general, fightsticks are freaking expensive, why? Because since the market is small in comparison to other markets like keyboards, and even Keyboards can get expensive, mine is custom and is around 500 CAD. But the thing is that this has its pros, since Razer is a big company can make these controllers available for more people, is very hard to get this type of leverless because the manufacturer does not produce so much, which at the same time makes this thing more expensive.

The haute42 controllers around the same size as the kitsune with more features and buttons retails for $100 and you can add an adapter for like $30-$50 so it connects to ps5 and xbox. Honestly the fact that people are putting up with $250+ controllers just cause they work with ps5 is absolutely absurd.

Leverless controllers are meant to be the cheaper option from all of this pads and sticks But why is it more expensive than an arcade stick which has an expensive arcade lever But it's all button and a one dollar customized MX or keychrone microswitches. And the justification is the SOCD feature or the PS licensing? It doesn't make fucking sense.

Hi there, what other options are there for PC in Europe that are readily available? I saw the squodbox but all decent models are also sold out and I won't order a stick from the US that will cost 400+$ after tax ^^

@@Bodom_Lux every stick i have reviewed is available for pc and uk since they are sold from allie express. Busget j would go with the $55 controller inreviewed but if you want something a bit more premium/bigger the RTU Hitbox i reviewed just came out with a bigger version for only $105! Check that review out and then google rtu-a4. Ill add the link to the bigger one in the rtu review video description as well right now to make it easy for you.

Not really sure there’s anything besides 3d printed stuff or 3rd party stuff from the likes of allie express etc. you could take the caps off like i do in this video then proceed to pain em yourself.

Haven’t found any to fit it atm. The main buttons are 25mm not 24 like most others and the jump is 30mm but a rounder shape. Like i said not much customization atm.

Thank you and i totally agree with you. I’m keeping it just the way i obtained it i wouldn’t really get my money back but more like “store credit”. I did order the bigger rtu and i love the smaller version , new one seems to come with artwork and nice plexi glass can’t wait to review it.

I'm not sure why you're surprised that games don't recognize the controller on pc if you put it on ps mode...

Indeed it is, i actually put the concave buttons from the snackbox in a budget micro hitbox i reviewed. Made it feel so much better.

​@@FrankieJPlays One of my favorite functions of these leverless style controllers is playing music as a bard in FFXIV. Pretty fun device to use for playing music in that game. I do like where the R3 and L3 are located on the Kitsune.

@@soysaucehairdye7869 wow never heard of this. My friend was actually showing me how many songs she knew how to play in ffxiv it was insane. I know she has a keyboard hooked to her xbox so prob similar.

Fyi you have multiple SOCD cleaning options now on the Kitsune after last month. Razer released a firmware update to allow you to change it

Not really, but as mentioned for me they took some time to get used to since i was used to how much force cherry silvers need. If you havent used any others you won’t have anything to reference. Should be fine it’s meant to be left as is. Benefits for faster switches would be faster actuation/less force. However this is all preference and for people who like to customize. For the average consumer this is fine as is. Hopefully razer releases more switches soon for people that want something different.

​@FrankieJPlays I got mines today & using this thing is a different world to me. so so difficult for me to use but besides that I'm loving it just trying to figure out a reliable hand placement for me. Also for some reason on sf6 my L2 button is not registering I thought it was broke so I tested the L2 button out on mortal kombat 1 & it works on there. L2 on mk is stance switch & when I press it on mk it works perfectly but on SF6 it's not working at all. L2 is only picking up on the pause menu when u go to test settings on sf6 because when I press it on test settings L2 is lighting up indicating that it is being pressed sigh 😕 any advice on fixing L2 for sf6?

@@sergeantslippery7703 not really sure brother, what are you on pc or ps5? Try out another game that also uses L2 maybe the demo for sf6 see if it works there. Reset all your sf6 settings to default. Etc…

3d printing sellers/allie express and etsy sellers will eventually have 3rd party alternatives.

$400 dollars and doesn't come with pbt button caps.. unbelievable coming from a keyboard company.

Great feed back. I should treat this like my first review where i explained what the b1-pc is etc now looking back at my other reviews after the b1-pc i treat them all like a sequel to a movie where i assume everyone has watched the previous one and knows the lore. Instead i should treat it like a video game sequel where they give small recaps to understand the lore of the previous one so new players aren’t lost. really appreciate this

No they are not the only replacement switches that work to my knowledge are keychron switches, i have a link to them in the description.

Exactly, options are always good like you said. Not giving us any or close to none is what makes that a negative for this. We are 6 months in and still no official replacement switches available on the site, no update or software for socd switching like they promised either.

@@NiceGuyRU-vidapparently any mx style cap fits it. Plenty of of affordable ones on sinoarcade. I will make a short/picture post if they do work fine on em.

I agree that it feels cheap and flimsy I can sometimes hear my bottom panel move a bit but I get the design choice. To keep it lightweight and repairable in case something happens. it is pretty much a really decent toy but I still love this controller.@@FrankieJPlays

It’s too thin for a lever so Razer should implement an adapter, something like a raiser with a lever.😂

Also, i got the Chun Li edition. It’s made by my favorite gaming peripheral brand, it’s made for my favorite game, it has my favorite character on it, and it’s in my budget. It was a no brainer for me.

Do those 5ms matter when a huge portion of players use a ds4 that has lower input delay then the kitsune? Literally 90% of the fgc uses something else with a brook board or converter are the high level players at a disadvantage ? 300$ for 5ms is not worth it and it is throwing away money if you don’t need it.

We shall see over time i hope a company like debrand makes a skin.

@@hajatianaandriamaro5355 it’s a whole process and you have to flash a ps4 controller or get the controller keys by other means wink wink. those can’t be specified if you google gp2040 ps4/ps5 support or join the open stick community in the description you can search for instructions there.

@@FrankieJPlays yes keychron, they work perfectly fine no issues with them at all. I saw some of the reddit posts prior to my purchase talking about the issues with keychron switches. I think that the OP of the reddit post broke the tabs on the keycaps probably. My friend also is using keychron clicky opticals on his kitsune and he doesn't have any issues either

@FrankieJPlays hitboxs issue is being able to actually get one. They're constantly sold out. Fightbox, the close competitor, is the same cost though there PS5 dose support all the way down to PS3 though it dosne lack the touch pad the victrix hit box has probably the best customizability but is fuckin huge and 100 more. I'd say it's priced pretty normally when compared to its competitors when it comes to ps5 compatible devices without the need of a converter. The plates only being vinyl ill admit sucks. I plan on laser etching on my plate. Buttons are an easy fix. There is a pretty simple id that says if razer doesn't make colored ones, a 3rd party will. Hell, anyone with a 3d printer could. Is it price? Yes, very much so. Is it priced outside of the norm for what it is no not really.

@@D00ML0RD1 considering i’ve bought their fightsticks in the past yes it’s over priced from the norm. Hitbox charges what they charge due to the brook tax and theirs is not even ps5 compatible yet. This sould be $250 max

@FrankieJPlays as stated before, fightbox, who makes a ps5 compatible leverless charges the same 299.99 for the playstation/pc version. There all console versions are 329.99. Hitboxs currently dont make one with ps5 compatibility. A hit box is 250 or any convert to make it work on the ps5 cost 60+. The official brook ufb-up5 is 55-80, depending on the sale. This means a hitbox that is out of the box compatible with a PS5 will most likely cost around $300. Sony, this generation has made it very clear by there action they don't want ppl using 3rd party controls. They very much want you to use theres. They've added lockouts, done updates, and are trying everything they can to block 3rd party accessories from working. They are litterly trying to become apple at this point.
