This idea that criticism is always fueled by jealousy is incredibly silly. Insulting someone's appearance is rude, unnecessary, and can be coming from a toxic place, but so is assuming that criticism is always jealousy-fueled.
Do u wear cool tones on the eyes??? I like warm tones on the eyes(cool make me look like a corpse and bring out my super dark circles), but warm tones on the lips bring out yellow in the teeth. Wondering if it looks weird to mix?

Same!! I got 1990 because at the time baby and slip were out of stock. I don't usually love to spend high end prices of lipstick but I am so glad I went for it. They are so worth it.
The Merit lipsticks are like Pringles: once you pop the fun don’t stop. Bought one, then I bought two more, and now I want a fourth 😂 can’t stop won’t stoppppppp
I really thought that our skin tones were not that far off, but both of the lightest Merit complexion colors were noticeably too dark for me! You would never guess it based on their model photos, but they do not have shades suitable for cooler, very fair skin tones. Just a PSA for other fair-skinned folks!
I blend the highlighter stick by dotting it, along with the bronzer on my cheekbones and smooth with my fingers. SO easy! I’ve even just used the highlighter and the Complexion Stick on bright sunny days to have my own color peek through.
Really enjoyed seeing your comprehensive review of this brand! I've been thoroughly pleased with Merit and how they've grown their product line. There are several favorites for me...foundation stick, brow pomade and lipsticks for sure! Am hoping that they come out with some more eye products at some point as I think they would do a beautiful eyeshadow palette or shadow sticks. : )
I love your blush application! I tend to do a similar application naturally and felt unsure about it, but I felt very encouraged to watch your videos and see you do a similar method. It is so flattering on my face shape and I love it. Also like everybody else I love the lipsticks! Ugh they are so perfect and I totally agree with you the colors are the really special part of merit. Although I love the lipstick formula just like you do, it really is perfect.

Literally love all the shades you chose and have a lot of these shades specifically. I’m a light-medium olive neutral and I love the browns. These look great on you. Hope you do the new matte lipsticks - unsure if I like them. They’re a bit too drying. But the shade Equestrian is nice but it pulls a bit too orange on me.
Your brows are gorgeous! I love the lipsticks so much, I bought 6 of the 8 shades. I also want to go in and swatch the other two (Tiger and Cabo) just to be sure!

Be careful! Lots of reviews are complaining about the packaging, the foundation stick pops completely out long before it’s finished. One even popped off and landed in the reviewers toilet 😭🙃

I like these videos of full faces of one brand, can you do ilia and kosas next. Also, have you tried doing videos in front of natural light, I think it would be a lot cooler and probably look better especially for natural makeup looks

Thanks for this. I've been very intrigued by their blush since I like subtle blushes. I'm very into cream blushes but sometimes they are too intense for my preference. I hope they restock their lipsticks soon since I love 1990 and want Tiger too.

Interesting. Kosas looks chalky under my eyes, and enhances texture, but merit doesn’t. I’m really truly uber dry, plus I’m in my mid-50’s, so my needs are quite different. I’m wondering if the color, silk, would work for you. Cream looked kinda peachy on you, but perhaps you like the added pigment?
i reallllly want to try the cava highlighter, and i can’t wait for baby to be restocked. i have two already and i’m obsessed with the formula and i reallllly want the pinky color. 💖💖💖
I think the brow stuff is intended for people who have thin or overplucked brows and that it works well for those kinds of brows (especially in combination with a brow pencil) to give a natural look. It doesn't seem intended at all for brows that are already very thick and so I can see why you are not very enthuasiastic about it. The mascara seems intended for people who just want to put a little something on their eyelashes and have it take like five seconds. It is pretty much the only mascara that I can use to get a natural look without having to use a spoolie afterwards to brush through the lashes to separate them, and so it is much faster than using pretty much any other product that I have tried. So I think that for people with these issues/goals, and especially if they need products made for sensitive skin, these products are at least as good as anything else on the market. But that does not mean that they are going to be appropriate for everyone, of course. I think the weak product in the line is the highlighter, which (based on influencer as well as user reviews) goes rancid very easily. I liked mine for about the first six months but it does smell really bad now. I've liked the foundation stick but have read many reviews of people complaining that theirs had broken on them (though it was still usable). I think it is being reformulated and is not even available at my Sephora now (with the sign suggesting that it will be back at some point reasonably soon).
Has anyone else experienced their Slip Lipstick moving around in the tube? Mine completely detached after like the third use. I managed to put it back in the tube but still moves around and gets smeared and crushed on the sides whenever I use it. I try to be as gentle as possible, but I dislike how I have to be this careful when putting it on. I thought maybe I got a defective tube, but wasn’t sure if I could return or exchange a used product. At this point though, I just want to know that if I repurchase, will the same happen again? I don’t want to feel stressed because of lipstick.
Same thing happened to me. The lipstick slid off center and every time I twist it up or down the bullet is scraped by the component and when I apply it it moves to the side I have to be gentle so that it doesn’t break off. It sucks!
