Experience the best of Japan's car culture! Itasha Heaven is a car event that happens only once a year in Odaiba, Tokyo. It's focused on the anime and manga otaku culture in Japan but combined with car culture it becomes Itasha! Every car at this even has a crazy livery with their favorite anime on it. Cosplayers also attend and before you realize it feels like an anime expo car meet in one! After the event, I attend an underground car event called Tokyo Motor Collection & it was just like the Tokyo Fast & Furious meet!

@@rbshit1 there's nothing wrong with liking anime idk about some of these guys but I grew up from the age of around 8 on an anime called Sailor Moon at the time I was a kid and it was about a high-school teen superhero was my favourite cartoon when I got older after dragon ball z, digimon, pokemon etc I got into anime around the age of 13 love afro samurai, the girl who leapt through time, tokko some animes that changed my life but when I go back and think about nostalgia and Anime Sailor Moon is the one that defined that feeling and I to this day still appreciate the fact I was lucky enough to grow up with it I'm older now not in my 30s but getting there and have a 1 year old son and can't wait to watch some classics with him Sailor Moon will be one of the first. I have one art piece each of Afro samurai and Sailor Moon nothing more nothing less but I respect those who really rep their favourite anime/childhood show so personally I don't see all of these men as creepy old men having little girls on their cars but I will say some are weird.

I super liked this video please keep it up! It’s so cool to get to see so many sick cars! Like I already feel a little influenced to want a cool car just from being a fan and watching your videos but this was amazing! Japanese car culture is so cool and interesting. I do have a question though that I thought of while watching and I was wondering who owns cool cars like this in Japan? Like as in what do they do for a living how can they afford to do this? That's a LOT of vtuber cars in the video, both Nijisanji and Hololive. Crazy to be able to recognize them out of the other anime cars too. (if you do not know what vtubers are, think of just avatars that facetrack and follow the user instead of a traditional facecam for videos and/or streams, with some being successful enough to have a 3d model to also perform concerts and other skits) HOLY COW THAT ANGEL BEATS MAZDA5 (no idea what it's called in JP). That Kanade scheme looked nice

I'm pretty sure the itasha event is the last Tuesday of each month at Daikoku, not the first Monday. Went to the one end of Feb while I was in Japan. Wish I could bring my car to it, but it's broke and not in Japan lol.

The Hawkeye would be the last versions (second facelift) of the GD chassis specifically the front end that was designed by the ex-Alfa Romeo designer to reflect the fuselage and wings in the front grille (from Fuji Heavy Industries/Subaru Corp history of airplane manufacturing). When you asked about what "eye" WRX (VA chassis "15-"17) @10:32, the one behind it was definitely a Hawkeye (GD Chassis)

Your awesome Sam but it hurt my soul when you said the stinkeye/GR was a hawk eye, if your gonna get a GR subaru hatch try an impreza Sgt as they were only sold in japan and have that old school fully mechanical AWD feel but with abs and a super stiff chassis, they are quite tail happy especially with a rear sway bar so are great fun to throw around. ps they can beat an sti hatch in a drag race since they are over 100kg lighter

The "eye" designations only apply to GD/GG chassis since the car received 2 facelifts with the same chassis code. All other imprezas can be distinguished by the code alone so referring to them as "stink eye" or whatever is kinda dumb IMHO. You wouldn't call an R32 a "Godzilla eye" skyline or something like that, it's just an R32.

The quad-eye gloria is the Nissan version of the Chaser. Used to be a yakuza-favorite together with the Nissan Cima.

Sam the car you couldn't identify is a Honda Legend. I had the Acura version with a 6 speed in it mated to the 3.2 V6. Loved that car so much but you may not like it as it's a fwd luxury coupe, not exactly your bag 😂😂

Get a e51 elgrand nismo in midnight purple. I'm serious Sam. It's basically 350z running gear. Engine and irs Super cool and you can deck it out put it tes. They are going up up in price but with your expertise I reckon you could find a decent one. Take all the back seats out you can put tools and Jack's and stuff in it. 240HP straight out of the box

That scooter you saw with a sidecar I believe they're called Maxi scooters and they have bigger Motors in them they're actually classified as a motorcycle so you need a motorcycle license to drive them but I wouldn't call it a motorcycle around motorcycle people because to motorcycle people that's still a scooter

22:15 that's an ep3 civic, probably type r. Last of the more "civicy" hatchbacks. 2003-2005. In the US was only available in SI trim. First K series civic SI.
