Agreed, in theory this is a suitable replacement for mainstage but until there’s an update for better control of additional third party plugins, its only good for the sounds.

Mainstage has a ton of more features...but I feel as tho this is a bit more tightly integrated...gets everything out the way and just gives you a few buttons to press to make things work

There is so much deception, go read my other comment, Gospel Musicians started out with good intentions, but now its just a money spinner, with little real value to show for their products. The challenge is - we are in a fools market. Most people do not have the experience, ear training or equipment to hear properly how things sound, and with all the marketing by people like John Mike, which is a bit (deceitful) - John MIke - knows in his heart that these sounds are not up to scratch, but cannot say so publicly. THis is just another "game" where the whole "gospel" thing has been abused, and used, for personal gain, another example of people profiting in the temple. At the time of Jesus, He threw them out of the temple. A good product does not need the spiel of the "gospel" affiliation. It will stand on its own merit. Unfortunately you cannot return digital products, so people like Jamal, profit from a loop-hole in the current commercial climate for virtual instruments. And there are always a few uninformed who unable to properly assess these products by themselves, depend on influencers like John MIke, who are paid to promote these substandard products. Sadly its a gospel scam. Nice intentions, but the products no longer represent good value for money in todays market. Go buy Keyscape instead.

@@okay1904 Ok i see both sides here. In Jamal’s defense, he doesn’t have the R&D budgets of Yamaha, Roland , & Korg. If he did, his UI’s would look a lot better. Sonically, we cannot expect him to Produce Spectrasonics quality for $200. Keyscape alone is $400 lol. But what he has done is of the Apple/Roland way. Some of the instruments in the MKS come from Pure Synth Platinum, Neo Soul Keys, & FM Tines. If you want his best quality when it comes to Pianos & EP’s, you will have to buy those instruments. Hence the reason why he put the Plug-in Loader in this instrument. So he is a genius from a business perspective, but eventually he will have to step up and compete with UVI, Spectrasonic, & Yamaha/Roland/Korg/Nord sonically. But for what it’s for, it’s a good alternative to Mainstage & Gig Performer.

Hey I’ll say it publicly...I’m not a fan of all the sounds in mks extreme....but you know what...I’m also not a fan of all the sounds and pianos in keyscape...honestly there are only like 3-4 piano and EP sounds I actually care for...so is it worth $400 for those 3-4 I like 🤷🏾‍♂️...I also HATE motif/montage pianos...well CFX grand is cool...I hate Nord pianos...but I’ve used them in my productions/live playing...my feelings and opinions are subjective because people will buy what they want/like for the reasons they want...is this the best sounding sample library on the planet!? Heck naw...is it the worse!? Heck nawl...but for me and a lot of others it’s not just about buying it because it’s the best...some people just want to support a black owned Christian based business...Jamal is pretty much the only black guy in this sample space...so why would I go and try to tear him down when I’ve personally seen all of the work and personally know how much time..effort and money he’s put into it just to get a little bit of profit...it’s easy to try to call the game from your couch watching it on the TV...it’s a whole other thing to call it from the sidelines...and an even bigger thing to actually be on the field...just broaden your perspective is what I would say...

@@Johnmike Ok so just as a follow up y’all. I used it on Sunday and it sounded amazing! I was using a Yamaha MOXF8 and didn’t have any issues as fas as the problem I first described. So IDK if its the key bed with the midi implementation or the audio interface. I use an Mpk88 in the studio(which gave me the issue) and a Hammer 88 when I’m out. Ill try it on my Hammer 88 and come back with more results.

Your comment proves that you didn’t watch the video all the way through...sounds are turned down while I’m talking about features...but when there is a moment where I’m playing...sounds are turned up...especially towards the videos end where I’m actually showcasing sound demos...

Spitfire solstice is $350...Keyscape is $400...mksensation is $99(intro)...spectrasonics has been repacking the same sounds in omnisphere since the early 2000s when it was called “Atmosphere” and every few years they add in a handful of new sounds and a few new bells and whistles and call it a new version...also what about Yamaha...With all the versions of the motif and now montage with those same repackaged sounds and a few new ones and a handful of bells and whistles...Roland with all those Fantoms...same deal with Korg and the Kronos line... they literally just dropped a white version of the Kronos... added no new features or sounds and people buying it...heck even if we go back to keyscape they just re-sampled the same sounds we can get from other places...but I can go on and on...but the point I’m driving in is that this is a common practice in the music sounds/sampling space...heck even in the world at large...iPhone and Android keep repackaging the same phones to us every year with maybe 2-3 small new features...not trying to shoot down your opinion on the quality of the sounds in the library...your opinion is your opinion...just trying to broaden your perspective a bit...it’s very easy to zero in on one part of something you don’t like and throw the whole thing away...I think MKS XTreme is pretty innovative in the features he added to make his product better than the original...and to move it away from the Kontakt platform and onto his own platform...and you must remember as well that why you may have bought some of his other stuff over the years and be tired of the same sounds...there are still thousands upon thousands of others who have never bought anything he’s done or haven’t even heard of him and this might be their first product of his and may genuinely love the sounds....but even if you took all of the sounds out of it and just had it as a VST host for your other sounds...this is still pretty dope in my opinion

@@Johnmike Also the sounds that Jamal gives us is what us gospel musicians are looking for. Even tho you can find something for every genre. He was saying that they were old sounds. But these are a staple for gospel music. Also he gives us so many gospel secret sounds. Things that some musicians try to keep to themselves. This app is fire. You can do a lot and it’s simple to use. And the price….. I feel like we are getting off(cheating Jamal) from how low it is. Look at all you are getting. Like you said John Mike everyone has there opinion. But I don’t see how anyone with musical skill, live or studio wouldn’t fall in love with MKSensation Xtreme. Well real musicians notice what’s been provided to us. Thank God for Jamal Hartwell.

Agreed. Not to take anything away from this new update, but for me, Mainstage seems to be a more sensible and less expensive solution, especially if you have a Mac (and it seems more and more people do these days - especially musicians). The synths and Sampler in Mainstage seem to be the top drawer over anything else these days, and much more versatile than anything I’ve seen in this category of software. Cheap M1 Macs and MainStage 3 is the hot combo. I guess having MKS Extreme would be good addition to your sonic palette to have within Mainstage, but at only $30 for Mainstage and all the amazing synths and instruments it contains and the way it controls them, nothing can touch it in this field.
