Looks great mate.... the side panel in the wind was an issue but looks like could be good especially for the weight !! Oliver nailed it 👍👍👍👍 thanks for sharing ATB Simon
Great review Graham. I've got the same tent and absolutely love it. They seem to be sold out now. The side vent stays open if you don't pull the bottom fly sheet tie out too far out, that's the mid tie out directly under the vent. The tent does suffer from condensation though but easy to sort out when I get home due to its compactness.
Thanks. I've just tried your advice about not pitching the fly too tight and it has totally worked! That's one of the niggles I had with the tent gone already. I'm not surprised they've sold out, I wonder if there is another batch in production? ATB, Graham 👍
It looks like a great value tent at the price that you paid, the weight is brilliant, but is it worth it for the niggles though ? I find it hard to get away with one person tents because I find them too small. I like to be able to get in while I'm unpacking/packing and getting sorted. I had a Helm 1 for about a year and even though it was a great tent, I found it just too small. I've got a lightweight 2 person tent now (for the milder months) and a heavier 1.5 person tent for when the weather gets bit wilder. They both have their good and bad points too though. Great video review Graham. Thanks 👍
Yeah, for me it is worth the little niggles, the weight and ease of pitching are huge plusses for the way I camp. I don't mind small tents (maybe because I am also small? 🤣) as long as there is room in the vestibule for a rucksack. If you found the Helm 1 small then this tent is definately not for you! We all want different things from our tents though. Thanks for your kind words about the review, ATB, Graham 👍👍
Nice one Graham, canny bargain that , not much room though mate , so have you ever tried trekking poles ? You should there great , I always go out with mine , had these same ones nearly 30 yr !!!🙄, I’ve been getting a lanshan 2 to use with them 👍🏻, thanks for sharing mate atb Deka 👌🏻💯
Hi mate, I think I would probably gain from using trekking poles (especially at my age🤣) but the problem is that my hands are full, I'm nearly always carrying a camera and tripod. I'm so lazy I don't think I would get any filming done if I had to keep reaching into the rucksack for the camera. Lanshan 2 looks like a great tent though, ATB, Graham 👍👍
