Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on playing a video game was playing TTT in Pavlov, recently booted it up again after a 4 month hiatus and still swept the lobby as a traitor.
Pavlov is one of the funniest games I ever played in VR. No doubt. I've got hundreds of hours in it and from time to time I still fire it up in hope that something changed. The biggest problem that never gets mentioned by the "big" creators is that there is no progression, no rankings whatsover. This is an issue that Pavlov developers have lied about for years, and never addressed it. Container yard a new map??? But...but it was there since forever! The game modes you see now in the official version come from the modding community. People must recognise that modders kept the game alive until now, and couple of new skins won't make the game any better than it was so far. In my humble opinion, it's not worth buying if you don't have it already on other platforms.
It definitely is capable, but they can't cut off quest 2 users like that. The quest 2 is still the leading standalone headset, but they would absolutely get trampled by quest 3 and every other headset when it comes to performance
I think pavlov is the best multiplayer vr shooter hands down. But it also pissed me off, coz i bought the game on steam, only to find out there are no players online. Maybe there are some now, since they made the game cross platform recently.
Pavlov is great ngl BUT, Contractors is way better and the mod support is insane. You can literally play Team Fortress 2, Battlefront etc in Contractors.
the team is divided into 2 apps, Pavlov and Pavlov Shack that was originally made for Quest 2. Since Quest 3 is now closer to PCVR, wouldn't make more sense to make a port of the current Pavlov (PCVR and PSVR2) into Quest 3, not only will that increase player base but dev could work on one version for all platforms. At this point Shack looks very similar to PSVR2.
Nah pc version still looks 1000 times better and ever since the newest update for pc the game isnt optimized as well and doesnt run as good as it used to so dont think the could make that work.
@@swishasweetrold Well PCVR and PSVR2 run some version that work together, why not bringing the PSVR2 version to quest 3 that still has cross platform. My point is, why segregagte your player base in multilple apps of the same game when they pretty much look close enough the same. I was with the idea Q3 was closer to a PSVR2 perfromance wised.
@@Kriothic Its not even close. There's at least 10 times the detail in the psvr2 levels. You could scale them down to run on Quest, but then Sony would be like "This aint ps5 graphics"
pretty sure it's a sponsored video, many vr youtubers all released a vid for it, all with the exact same format, as well as none mentioning being sponsored and none mentioning competitor games
I've only played Onward and thought it was the tipity top of the mountain, how does it compare to Pavlov? Anyone? Specially weapon sounds because Onward is very good.
Sweet competition! Prob a slim to none chance of winning but I have been watching pavlov stuff for yonks and this is the only chance my broke ass has of playing anytime soon.
I still go for the pc version runs and looks 10x better and its a small price for a way better expirience And then im nit even talking about the huhe mod library on pc Also if i remember correctly the container yard was a modded map for the last 2 years already
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182you know contractors is getting an update right?.. alongside contractors showdown apparently. Hope we get some info soon from the devs, but besides graphics.. why is Pavlov better? Contractors is a heck of a lot of fun.. I do prefer performance and good gameplay to graphics.
I've personally been waiting for a port or remaster of the original Perfect Dark on Nintendo 64 to Quest. BUT, the different take on FPS in VR is starting to show. Do players want something fast-paced run and gun or slower and more strategic?
@@Hus-Alfen pine hill isnt a pcvr map and with full release of pavlov shack there is gore similar to pcvr but not the same. and the pc version doesnt look this bad
@Hus-Alfen Wow that's totally misleading. I've been juggling between buying a psvr2 and q3, and literally almost pulled the trigger (pardon the pun) on the Q3 just based on these gfx alone
It really did blow my mind when I fired it up on quest 3. I wasn't expecting the UE5 update at all and it performed beautifully. Can not say the same for quest 2 version, which runs awful
Hmm.... looks alot better which is appreciated!!! But PSVR2 pavlov is still king with the haptics and PC level quality textures, tethered or untethered makes little difference with pavlov, NOW onward, is much better untethered for obvious reasons those who actually play it!
That's the standard upgrade from the Quest 3. Devs actually didnt do anything except increase to 90hz.. imagine if they worked on it for quest 3 textures etc
shack was demo version of pc release [quality and map sizes] and what stood up the most was the mods like d-day and MANY more that were missing from shack or ported as a crippled version - look no further than escape from pavlov - non of those aspects was part of the video :)
Is this playable as a single player? Unfortunately I can't get good enough internet speed here in winter to do a PvP game. This is tough for someone who loves FPS but can't get the online aspect working. Are there other solutions or other games like this that would fit the bill?
Zero Caliber is the only one that I could find after spending hours of research. If you have PCVR, there are other options, but frankly none of them are very good.
I need your help Ben. I recently got a ps5 and I'm now torn between getting a psvr2 or a quest 3. I want both tbh but what should I get right now do you recommend? I obviously have a quest 2 but I'm so ready to upgrade. 😊
Hard choice :) I have both and would be super hard to choose 1 of them. I love the "no cable" thing on Q3 and also it feels like real upgrade from Q2. But Psvr2 has the high quality games (not many tho) like RE8, GT7 which are stunning. It will be Quest 5 before we see PS5 quality games on standalone. If I was you, i would look on games which you want to play and sink in hours, then see who wins :)
I spoke to the devs.. they so lazy? They made no effort to get the best out of the Quest 3- they said all they did was to increase it ti 90hz on Q3... so This is incredible for quest 3, as its running standard...imagine if devs built it for quest 3 with its capabilities... the increase in crispiness etc is just the standard upgrade u get from Quest 3 -
Looks Pretty Graphics & i'm a PSVR2 guy saying it. Ability to play Cross-platform in the VR Future 😎 🤓😁. An ALVO VR community's 😎, Looking Forward to Arizona Sunshine 2 Co-op.
I prefer contractors for the call of duty maps. I would love for the games to give you a button reload option as im not fussed about trying to reload manually
Nope. Worst maybe, but not the best. Recoil does not work in VR at all and Pavlov has the most recoil I've seen as it not only goes up but also left and right. Misaligns your controllers and guns so you have to practice counter aiming for each gun pattern. Takes a long time to learn and get good at and isn't a transferable skill for anything else except Pavlov.
I see these terrible absurdities in this game. when you die you automatically have a specter and you can say where the opponents are absurd. I write about these things because I'm about to buy VR and I'm dying but I see such stupidities in the supposedly best FPS game it turns me off usually I'm a CoD player
Hes being paid for this review. This game is ass. If you want a real COD experience and better graphics and insane modes and maps. Contractors is the game to get!!!! Trust!
