13 years, so many changes in the movie industry & he kept on working on it Seriously, my hat is off to this guy; many *many* would've stopped halfway or started rushing but this absolute madlad kept improving his work until the very end

While watching this my eyes adjusted to the animation. I almost feel as though: If someone could swoop in and add some good lighting that would go an insane way. Just think of "The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker" and its' HD version. Lighting can make an extreme difference!

It'll be wholesome if this movie, in the future, becomes considered one of the best animated films ever made.

Umm so this supposedly crappy animated movie has a 4.5 rating on amazon prime video. im pretty sure its a sign of quality right there. having 4 random people watch your movie for the shits and actually like it in the end.

Honestly this looks pretty good considering the animation program he used. If he used something more modern he could probably make a great movie with great looking animation in less than half the time.

I suppose with the effort this could work as a good sfm movie with more polish. I'm kinda glad this guy knew what he was dealing with but was proud of it in some way :)

This looks like the pre-render for a much better film. The animation is intricate, but lacking in some of the fundamentals for some of the faster scenes(flow and easing, specifically). But in the slower scenes it seems alright. It's just got very rudimentary lighting, textures and models, which makes everything look quite flat, which I believe is the primary issue with the visuals.

Someone should contact the creator and ask him about an AMA. I know I and a lot of others would be interested and inspired by his years of hard work and actually becoming a filmmaker all by himself.

This is a hidden gem that reminds me a lot of Killer Bean when it comes to how impressive it is. I love passion projects & underdogs in the industry, & this really is worth the watch! If it was shown at a festival or something, I bet it'd be a lot more well-known, but a few months of corona can take the most massive of dumps on even the longest, most determined productions.

Cody's brother, Dillon, also made a movie called "Social Norm", it's a live-action comedy/drama/romance that was really impressive for a small indie movie. Highly recommended!

I really hope this film gets seen by a ton of people! I love when artists create something for basically nobody and still make it regardless. Watched it last night. Have to agree. Few times the animation actually looked pretty good too. Great camera work. It kinda felt like watching a 3D storyboard for an actual Hollywood production.

Three minutes in I was like: Damn, the camera is very kinetic but well controlled I mean *It's better Directing than Beserk 2016*

Incredible. This guy created an actual movie with outdated 3D software and not only does it appear on IMDB, it has a better rating than half the movies released in 2020.

Well...interesting. balanced audio, appropriate music, motion physics not too bad, characters were committed to the situation, including the over the top comedy bits...just on major flaw... ... ... ... This movie needs fake compression artifacts to make it look more like an early nineties CD-ROM game cutscene.

I've seen WAY less convincing character animation, and half-assed scenery that's much less detailed than this. From actual teams. For one guy this is a hell of a feat.

My boyfriend came in the living room when the film first started and watched with me. He said the movie won him over, lol we liked it.

So, my friend encountered an ad for this movie right as he was falling asleep one night months ago, and he thought it was just like a fever dream at first. When we convened the next day, we made plans to watch it with our friend group, thinking we had quietly discovered the new The Room or something. When we actually finally sat down to watch it, within 5 minutes we completely switched up from ragging on it to absolutely adoring it. The passion put into this thing bleeds off the screen, and wildly, it’s incredibly well-made. So, SO GLAD someone with a higher profile has brought attention to it, because it deserves recognition!!

I think the best thing about this is: this man had no way to know, back in 2006, that he would be able to self-publish his work. So he either started out with a mind to make the best movie he could for himself, or he had 100% hope that this thing he made on his own would pique the interest of studios and distributors. And that's the kind of attitude you need, really. Legendary.

The character "Kyle", looks like if Bob Saget had Hepatitis C.

I mean, he could have this movie sold (or better: collaboration work) to a better animation company. There is some gold to be uncovered there.

Yeah, I do have a project. I've been playing the one character, Damon Dark, (a man who saw a UFO in Australia's outback as a teenager and got ridiculed and disbelieved for it and grew up to be a totally committed, single-minded hunter of UFOs and alien infiltrators,) since 1992. That's 28 years playing the same character. I've made dozens of short films about him, put a five week series on community TV about him the late 90s, performed a stage show in a theater about him, self published a novel about him and am still doing short videos about him to this day. I have had different RU-vid channels since 2006, but on my current channel I've been uploading a lot of the archive as well as some new episodes. Damon Dark is the longest lasting independently made science fiction series from Australia. All made with heart, not with money.

Omg I watched it, and came back to watch this and I agree, it's so good. So far, it's my favorite 2020 movie. I cant wait another 13 years for pt.2

I've had this movie in a background tab in my browser waiting to watch for over a year now. I wasn't feeling terribly motivated to do anything tonight, so I finally watched it. It was alright. I'm not a big movie watcher in the first place, so it dragged just a bit for me, but it wasn't too bad. The visuals didn't really bother me, and I really think they made the slapstick bits better. I quite enjoyed the bumbling king. When a sequel comes out in another thirteen years, I'll be on board.

Kind of reminds me of the captain scarlet reboot The animation and voice acting were at about this level, but each episode is so gripping that I've watched the whole show, like, three times.

Watched it. This was great. I think it's so important for people to just give people a chance, to look past some of the errors and try it out, especially for someone who has a big audience, that's pretty awesome.

This story seems to be better than The Last of us 2. And the face animations are better than the ones in Mass Effect Andromeda.

Very inspiring and proves that a strong narrative can deliver even when the budget can't. I think so many films lean so much on production value they sometimes forget the most critical ingredient that starts the whole process to begin with.
