Shoes definitely needed a wash after that! Congrats on the PBs. You were both flying. It does look like a good course, though in camera it seemed quite narrow in places.
Great video as usual well done, great running both of you, can't believe you missed the 34's out completely Ryan 😵 so many runners ,that first turn around looked a tight squeeze. 303 subscribers 🥰🥳🥳
Holy cow you both smashed your old PB's!!! Congrats and well done. Looks like a fast course with the 28:xx winning time, but Ryan's race was still crowded at the 5K distance and I noted a few muddy spots. Superb content really stepping up your game. Like the B&W intro and all the B-roll. Thanks, and good luck on your next XC race!
Unbelievable guys, congratulations on both of your PB's. Well deserved, excellent running. I don't know how you overtake people on those narrow paths, it looked absolutely packed! The state of those Vaporfly's at the end as well 😂😂they put in an absolute shift. Another super vid guys, well done ☺
Nicely done! Looks like the weather was perfect for race day. This time of year is made for PRs if the footing is good. Definitely some insanely fast times there. Generally for a "fast" race here it involves a lot of downhills. We have several races throughout the year that have 2000 - 3000 foot drops over a half marathon (and slightly less say for a 10K) and I know I've turned in some PR times that I wouldn't be capable of hitting on a flat course. People come out in droves to run them though as they are often very scenic. Cool video and congrats on your times.
Thank you so much for stopping by Eddie ☺️🙌 those races sound awesome but in the UK if they have over a certain amount of downhill, I can’t remember the exact figure but they don’t class as a qualifying time in that distance, it could be different in the US though, I’m not too sure. We are super pleased with our times 😊 it was great making the video
I'd like to give XC a go in the new year (If my knee lets me), could you do a vid on a beginners guide to XC and shoes that you can get away with running in, race prep tips etc.? Like what to look for in trail shoes and differences to my road shoes that I should be aware of?
That sounds great news, I tried to make a little starter guide in this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZEepxQpVT6c.htmlsi=vWhoNEty-HiiF_7o You can definitely wear trail shoes for XC but we’ve found in the past when running on the mud you just aren’t as confident and tend to slip around more so would suggest getting some spikes as it’s just a lot safer and gives you confidence to enjoy the course more, spikes only cost around £50 so aren’t a major hit to the bank, we will look into other ways we can make an XC intro video though 😊🙌 sounds like it would be fun to make
Well done you two on the pbs. I was in Wave 2 Vlogging but near the back. In fact I was second to last the previous year so at least improved on that. We look forward to following more of your adventures.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I remembered seeing you filming when I was running round, we watched your video when it came out 🤩☺️ well done on your season best btw 💥💥
Haha it wasn’t intentional 😂, great racing you out there though, it was hectic as ever, I’m sadly not that great at photoshop 😂 I’d look the same 🙌 I just got rid of the faff and buzzcut it off 😂😂 thank you for watching ☺️🔥
Thank you! 🎉 Couldn't believe it watching wave 1 return to base completely covered it mud 😂😅 Think it was mostly because of how tightly packed the elite waves were
Haha it is an amazing experience and we would highly recommend it, the anxiety is just part of the fun 😂 I’m a bit worried to what wave 1 will be like as I reckon I’ll enter that one next year 😅 thank you for watching 🤩😊
Congratulations to you both on achieving new PB's 😁👏👏 P.s. what editing program do you use? Looks great and some trick little features in these vids 😉👍
Thank you so much for watching ☺️☺️ we use a program called HitFilm, the videos are slowly getting there aha, just take a little bit of a learning curve
Congratulations to you both on your super-speediness and another fantastic video. That course looked way too tight and crowded tho neither of you mentioned that - so maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked! Bourton 10k is an old favourite of mine and where I ran my 10k PB (45.00.00 - a thousandth of a second quicker and I'd have been sub-45) so could be one to consider in the future (full for 2024 but if you told them you are RU-vid celebrities....)
Thank you ☺️🎉 It wasn't as bad in wave 3 for Haley after the first few km. For Ryan in wave 2 it was almost helpful as it carries you along. Sort of like you can't stop else you'll get in someone's way 🤣 Yes Bourton 10K is on our list of races we really want to do, but it always seems to clash with XC nationals 😢
That course might be quick but it looked very narrow/bunched up and so hitting 33/46 respectively is a great performance. My best 10K is 49:49 but then you’re way younger than me😊. Tatton 10K on Saturday, not aiming for a PB, sub-55 is fine, no pressure🚂
@@raleyadventures Thanks, I’m just about to switch over from iPhone 11 to 15 (out of memory) so it’s delayed last Saturday’s Parkrun video somewhat, that was eventful, I uploaded a short about it😊
Wow doing that as your 3rd 10k is definitely like going into the deep end 😅😂 great work, but PB’s are never easy you did great 🙌 thank you for the kind words
Haha that’s very debatable/ true 😂 but I guess if all the fast runners are targeting it, it must mean something regarding the times people achieve ☺️ I’ve seen you’ve run it before, how did you find it when you ran ☺️🙌 thank you so much for watching and the kind words
@@raleyadventures i have only ran it once and it was last year, first time it ever snowed during the race. I found it amazingly fast and hard work managing an all time 10K PB there despite being 61 at the time! When the top 50/100 all go under 30 minutes you know it's a special bunch of runners.
