I have one of those WONDEFUL horns. Bought it from a J C Whitney catalog in the early 70s. I put it on my Toyota Corola and drove out to the country where the cattle were peacefully grazing....until I pulled the cable and let 'er rip. Those poor cows were so startled they didn't know what to do. Another time, a young guy was walking his large breed dog and I let loose with a not so subtle bellow. The dog took off at a full gallop draging the poor guy behind him through the grass. Did a few other things like that, too. It's a wonder I didn't get into trouble with that horn. When I traded off the Toyota, I took the horn off first. Never put it on another car. I'm in my 70s now. I think I'll try to persuade my son to put it on the golf cart at his farm. The grand-kids would love it! And the adolescent in me that never grew up would love it, too!! PS my old horn still has the decal of a raging bull on it!!!
Noticed you have no headliner. I had a 49 GMC that didn't have one, so I made a template with cardboard and masking tape and used a piece of free formica as the headliner. Little does anyone know is that you can cut formica with scissors as long as you don't close the scissors completely as you're cutting. The headliner was a 2 piece deal with a trim strip running from side to side down the middle.
Nice! I have one similar to these (A Jubilee Horn from the 30s or 40s maybe?) And it's a single wire hookup, but I have absolutely no idea how to get it working. Don't have access to a car and I know it's either a 6 or 12 volt setup.) I want to do a restoration and cleaning of it at some point without damaging it.
Had no idea of the content of your channel just subscribed at the end of the video. After having done so I have looked through your other videos and saw the International Scout content and was taken back to my early teenage years. An older friend of mine had a scout. Great memories! Thanks
