2025 Mondraker Dune is a sub 20KG long travel super enduro ebike, with Bosch's new SX motor, providing 55nm torque, 600w peak power, with a internal 400Wh battery.
I have a mondraker crafty 2022 and I have got to say mondraker are really ahead of the game with geometry and design

The first Brand that makes a long travel, full powered bike with at least 700-750wh battery at 19-20kg, will take my money...that is what I consider lightweight emtb
I had the 17 Dune XR and it was an absolute blast to ride.. I can only imagine how much better this e-powered version is. It looks stunning 😍 Well done #mondraker 👍
Good review, awesome bike and that SX motor is amazing, shame you cant remove the battery, would be awsome if you could swap out the 400w for another, proper all day bike for those of us who also like a bit of power. Same with the Whyte eLyte, would be awsome if you could replave the battery on that one as well. Someone out there has to do it soon. Either that or I need to win the lottery so I can have two of them for an all dayer at BPW with no uplift
This looks actually really good, and sub 20kg with coil is really nice. but just got me Canyon Strive:ON last month so I am on full power for a while xD
Love your videos Rob. When are we going to see the full review of this bike? (it's one month later) I am considering this and the Cannondale Moterra SL as my next eMTB. Thanks....
I love your bike workshop and your reports. And of course your good english pronunciation because i am german and some guys have very strange accent, esp. aussies. 😊
The amount of saddle drop for so much travel is un-acceptable. My older foxy had a max of 150mm drop (medium) vs 200/2010 for current bike. It's a game changer.
Can't wait to try one I have the Crafty XR carbon and tried the Neat but it was a little under powered and not aggressive enough...by the way Duracell...bunny longer harder power.....🤣
👍True, SRAM is to big and to long cage😉 I drive the XTR "chort gage" with 10-45T on all four of my EMTBs, and will always do. Nice that Mondraker selling frame kit as I am thinking of building a "shimano" bike😁
Hi Rob, ...... Trying to get my head around a question ! How does a 400wh battery with 55nm compare against my 360wh 35nm Levo sl v1 for distance (without the add on battery) ? Surely my levo sl gets me the same distance (or further), if not a bit slower ?
👍Now we talking👏👏👏👏. But, why use SRAM's big lump for gear 🤔. I run XTR straight through and above all short cage gear and 45-10 cassette on all four of my EMTBs I have built or otherwise rebuilt, precisely for the reason of avoiding breakdowns as much as possible + that they are light stuff😋. 💥Wanted. Mondraker frame kit💥🥰
You can't just set cadence for peak power in software without changing the Torque as Power equals Torque x Cadence - They probably didn't want (or couldn't) let an increase Torque option in order to save battery (that's why this motor is smaller an lighter)
Need the pricing of the other versions too Rob 👍 EDIT - missed the lowest price is £6799 at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CeULBNkXaHY.htmlsi=X2tTI22xl9JmUumR&t=380
@@asifitmatters1literally every comment you make you’re talking shit… why do you still watch his videos if you disagree with everything and think he’s a shit rider? 🤦🏼♂️😂 Are you ok? Do you need to contact a friend and get a cuddle?
@@asifitmatters1 He's telling you how an eBike rides compared to the many other eBikes he's ridden. So, he can tell you how it rides. He rides eBikes in country that doesn't do uplift bike parks. He doesn't need to be able to ride A-Line to give you an eBike comparison. Your comment, like all your other comments on this video are full of irrelevant 💩
those huge in front of the bar mountained displays are absolutely a negative to the ride experience. good that it can be removed bc if it couldnt id drop this bike from a list of possible choices, yeah that single item is that bad on the UX.
Nice looking bike, the seat post insertion depth looks problematic tho, The Bosch system controller really needs a tiny screen showing the battery percentage, the LEDs are distracting and the Kiox is ugly.
@@chickenclips It's not just the aesthetics, when mounted on the bars it's more prone to damage. Specialized and Sram Powertrain have the right idea, would be nice if Bosch did similar as their motors are on many more bikes.
Dear Mondraker, Congrats for bringing to the market the kind of bike that I would consider buying. Unfortuanately I will not be buying a Dune, nor ANY bike with internal headset routed cabling. Yours, The general biking community. PS The seatpost insertion depth is Shit too!
Please share link to your video of an ebike, with good help in peddling, max speed independent electric 80 miles or more, lots of range, removable battery, dual shock, multi shock
SRAM Transmission is NOT a good thing. It is really expense. And ebikes go through cassettes and chains as a hot knife through butter. I went with a cheap Shimano LinkGlide setup. 39 euro cassette, 16 euro chain and 34 euro derailleur. And shifting is as crisp.
Wait so let me get this straight, It is ment for big mountain riding with steep hills etc, however they made it light by just putting a ridiculously small battery in sure thats saving weight, but now your just stuck with always having to use the range extender. Meanwhile the entire industry is imploding so make the price so high no one would buy it anyway. This channel will never say anything bad about a product they recieve ever.
How come you're watching an ebike channel when you have all the answers already? I've got 2 Mondrakers and would be happy to buy this as well. You don't need the battery for descents. There is more than enough power and range to winch yourself back up the 'push-up' track to hit descent after descent
I can't see the point of a lightweight ebike. If going down the ebike route, go full power, full fat. That's what I've done & my full fat Cube Stereo 140 Hybrid complements my normal Cube Stereo 150.
Fitness and fun. I don't want to sweep over downhill tech without feeling it on a full fat ebike and I don't want the added weight making it harder to ride in my narrow technical trails. My lightweight ebike weighs 17kg and has 60nm of power which equals lots of fun. It can also be easily ridden with the motor switched off or if I run out of battery. My lightweight weight ebike perfectly compliments for Trek Roscoe 9 hardtail ;-) Full ebikes are like a different sport entirely, whereas the riding experience of a light weight eeb better imitates an analog bike.
It would be briliant if after 10000 km the Bosch sprockets and bearings were like new, just like in my middrive motor CYC x1 Stelth. It has 1.5 kw, but i run it at 1 kw. My bike weights 24 kg with a 1380 mAh 52v battery. All with 1/5 of the price. The ebike industry is a scam
@@paulaus The worst frame you could convert to an ebike. 2016 YT Jeffsy. I placed a long custom battery under the downtube. At least the engine is perfectly fitted inside the frame
@@oliverbourne9599 the Rise can take a 160. I have 160 on mine. I know the travel differs slightly but it seems like a lot of people forget about the rise these days.
Super-Enduro geometry and travel or ? I've just Googled it and is says "A 700c carbon frame commuter e-bike" So, not exactly downhill is it. Why you even here watching a mountain biking channel. Do you even know what mountain biking is 😂😂
Comical. There are E MOTOCROSS bikes that are cheaper than this. Who or what is this bike for in the first place? SUPER Enduro looks a heck of a lot like DOWNHILL to me . The smaller the battery is the less time you have to use it. Because there is NO break through tech that says anything different. After the mountain bike apocalypse, going down a road of creating sub categories' for E mountain bikes is absurd. Mega Avalanche only happens ONE time a year, and this is probably the only time this bike would possibly be useful.
@@asifitmatters1 Bike apocalypse is here and most companies are filing bankruptcy proceedings. These bikes were bought on LOANS to a population that defaults on just about everything. There are incredible deals out there, but the entire anti China vibe wont show them.
Would you choose this or the Orbea Rise Rob ? I think the Bosch motor is so much better than Shimano on the Rise , I’m so fed up with the rattle on mine, Time for a change I think 🤔
You forgot to mention the shit Dropper insertion and Headset cable routing. Other than that and its ridiculous pricing, this is what I want. Light weight big travel
