Nobody knows that better than the ones who are pushing it. Turdeau got great kickbacks for the clot shots and I imagine he is getting the same for this criminal enterprise as well.
Thanks for being an example! I’ve been saying the same… any recovery addict will tell you there’s no such thing as “harm reduction” or “safe supply”. Getting sober and addressing the underlying problems… affordable life, housing, work, respect, belonging, purpose. Trudoh has created the perfect storm… creating hopelessness, and then handing them the drugs or death by doctor. And yes, pharma is cleaning up while they clean our clock. They own government and msm.
I am a Londoner. Ran a business around the corner from the health unit. Didn't even last a year. I was constantly cleaning up feces from infront of my business. Had both my vehicles broken into several times to the point where they destroyed the lock mechanism. Had people steal from my tip jar. Meanwhile I helped as many as I could, free fries, a donut or two, Pepsi. Never turned anyone down when in need. So many people need serious help. They are literally dropping dead in the streets.
KUDOS to you ....for trying and I get you ... eventually even is enough. You help them and they can't even clean up the feces for you or keep other bad ppl away or even sweep the area in front of your store. shame on them - if they only knew how got they had it with you

Although with the expansion north I noticed some interesting shops like ‘pastry culture’ which is a fresh look for the area, I love breakfast spots .. I live in North bay Ontario. On my way to pay my $30 parking ticket, I almost tripped over a lady sprawled over the sidewalk. She was rolling around, high as a kite. I thought to myself... here I am paying a $30 parking ticket where I can get reprimanded if I don't pay....and there is a lady openly doing drugs, with zero consequences. The city looks like it's been taken over by zombies. The fact they even give parking tickets to people brave enough to go downtown is mind boggling. No it isn't. Someone's home brew or free booze won't kill you within minutes of consuming it. Hydromorphone will not kill an addict on the spot but Fentanyl will. Try to use your head, terrible analogy.
100 percent agree. I just moved out of the city, but still work here. My sister and her family who have a beautiful home, they are moving too after decades here. It used to be such an amazing city in all aspects. Never perfect, but things werent out of control and it was safe here. It’s a 180 now. The city’s leadership is terrible. The government is terrible. The Canadian legal and healthcare system have MANY horrible flaws. The police are overworked, tired, and frustrated as most things are out of their hands. The vibe here is dark. I feel it.
I've lived in London for the last 35 years and agree. I'm working on getting the hell out of here as soon as possible. City government seems to have largely abdicated from its responsibility to make the city safe, vibrant and attractive.
All of it? I go to London all the time and I've NEVER seen any of this. Every big city has it's 'areas'. Depends where you go. This video makes it look like London is a complete sh*t hole... it's not.
@@Mr._Fit_Atheist I've lived in London a long time. The part of the city shown in the video is indeed a 'dump', and there are other areas of the city that are a bit dumpy and run-down in appearance. However, the dumpy areas are fairly small and not spread throughout the city. Anywhere west of Adelaide Street is pretty good.
I have lived in London for the last four years. I have been sent all over the country for my job. All I can say is that I thought London was bad until I saw how depressing, dirty, and drugged up our own capital city was. I was in Ottawa for three months, and never in my life would I have ever thought that our capital would look like a scene out of The Walking Dead. Turdo has nothing to do with this. Canada started to lose its nascent sense of identity in the 90’s. In fact the addicts on the street have a much stronger sense of community than the “community” they inhabit. They have a common goal. Have you noticed that none of these addicted people are from a muslim community? That’s right, because they have a community that moves in one accord (with some brutal exceptions, lol) . The “former canadians” are disoriented in a landscape of moral relativism. Their churches are turned into condor and flaggot entertainment centers. They have built everything in sand.
That's exactly it. Same goes for a lot of these "homeless advocacy" groups you see around on billboards and shit, a lot of trust fund people making very comfortable salaries while homelessness gets worse. It's all a big racket and jobs program for the friends of politicians and elites.
I moved to London in 1986 and this city for some reason can’t get anything right and it is decaying rapidly. When I hear someone say safe supply for drug addicts, it makes me think. Why don’t they set up a bar at the corner of Lyle and Dundas for free liquor and beer and see how many alcoholics show up. I rarely go downtown anymore because it’s become a cesspool. I feel sorry for people that had to close their businesses or are barely staying afloat because of the zombies walking around.
And yet, they spend millions of dollars changing the down town area to no avail, !! This is great local journalism. This is what we need to expose it all and make them be held accountable for what the money is actually being spent on and prove if it is actually helping or not
One really depressing thing about London is how many people have moved here in a short amount of time. Our population went from 300k to half a million in less than 10 years. We’re nicknamed “forest city” but we don’t really have many forests anymore. All knocked down for new subdivisions. It really sucks. Like many other people have said, London was once a very beautiful place to live. It’s really sad what’s happened here
The women talking in front of inner-city health has no idea what she's talking about. Homeless don't want places to live. They have tried that. Homeless were given places to live. They trashed the places and went back out on the streets. The provinces never should have shut down the Psychiatric hospitals. A lot of Homeless need to be there.
That is part of the issue , seems the government would rather put the mentally ill on the street then in a hospital where they can be looked after and not be a danger to themselves and others , another part of the issue is the government is willing to give immigrants 2500 a month just to come here but wont give that to our elderly and Disabled that .. If the elderly and disabled were given 2500 a month to live on that reduce the issue to about half , open the institutions back up and that would be anther 20% of the problem solved
Yes bring back the physic wards.. give back the streets to the people that pay taxes and give small business a break instead of giving money to poeple that never lived here in the first place .. it's only going to get worst until we physically take the streets back

However, choosing to stop using anything that becomes a main focus at the expense of everything else in your life is much more complex. As one recovering person said they would be willing to stand a corner on their head if that's what they needed to do to stop. Then there's the life needed to be created to replace what they had which hopefully is not replacing one addiction for another. I suspect the reasons for so little success in recovery programs is a lack of understanding of how much it actually involves. And, btw, I doubt ones ass colour has much impact on comprehension of this issue. 🤨😂
Harrison is a fantastic reporter, fact finder and interviewer. Tells it like it is !! Gets both sides of the issues. He speaks for most CANADIANS !!!!!!!
Anyone that gives out drugs without support for housing and RECOVERY as a priority, - is a drug dealer, not a "compassionate" care company. Definitely NOT a safe supply company.
The Liberals are claiming that addiction is an illness and addicts have "no choice" in whether to use drugs. If that's the case, making drugs, which are poison, available to them is horrific because they can't refuse.
100% and they're making money off these drug addicts. The doctors the people running these facilities all of them profit from more homelessness. Not the profits they collect are from hard working tax payers. Why are there no riots seriously?
....these free drugs are to help battle the overdoses, it doesn’t cause them. They are giving out pharmaceutical grade morphine, which you would have to use a lot of to overdose. People have been overdosing at increasing rates for the last 10 years since this illicit fentanyl started coming from China They do this because the alternative is, the addict will use illicit fentanyl made in Mexico. They will overdose and if they don’t pass away, they end up costing the health care system tons of money in emergency treatment. This is the cheaper & better option, give them safer drugs, pay the cost up front.....cause if you don’t they’ll use dangerous drugs and cost more later And you have it totally confused, as does this report. Giving them free drugs DECREASES crime. They don’t need to steal to get money for their fix, they get it for free from government, instead of buying from a street dealer. It’s been proven by other places that heave done this, and the data proves it . This report is all anecdotal
Try stopping immigration, Canadian economy will crash, Canadian housing prices will fall so dramatically that people will lose jobs and still won’t be able to afford a house, this guy (Harrison Faulkner) does not know economics or how the country runs. If your situation is bad you are not working hard enough, do you think these druggies are druggies because some immigrant stole their job in Tim Hortons ? If you had these druggies in Tim Hortons he’ll probably spike your drink with drugs or spit in it and Canadian companies would fail 😂, how did you think the actual people of the land felt when your ancestors invaded, you please leave the country and go back to which ever European nation your ancestors came from before telling others to leave.
You can't fix London Ontario even if you stopped immigration. That city was like for decades, even in 2010 when I was there. I think even then I heard on the radio that Windsor and London were the worst cities of Ontario.
I am a Transit bus driver in London and i can tell you first hand that it sucks living in London. I hate paying hard earned money in taxes to keep addicts high. It's to the point that no care's anymore. Millions of tax dollars have been spent on bicycle paths on city streets and the only people riding bikes are the addicts. London care's more about Bike paths than it's own Citizens. City of London has torn up several busy streets all over the city to put in bike paths that nobody uses and yet they keep tearing up our streets. Downtown London used to be a busy place that was safe, but now, people avoid Downtown. You can't go anywhere in London Ontario Canada and not see drug use. Even the best neighborhoods where police live are under attack by addicts. Police hands are tied to do anything about the drug problem. Under funding and catch and release policies make it virtually impossible to stop the crime. In fact, the word police in this city is a noun. Theirs no actual Policing. Police is a verb, an action. No action here, just responders. I moved to London from Toronto in the 90's to raise my family because it was safe and well kept. I would not advise anyone to move to London Ontario.... Don't do it. It sucks living here.
I have been speaking out about this for a year now. Born and raised in London. They have destroyed our once beautiful city. So happy to see you reporting on this Harrison. Dr. Andrea Sereda needs to have her medical license revoked.
Thank you for covering the horrendous condition of London and its massive drug and homeless issues which has grown exponentially in the last 10 years. I am going to leave this city as soon as I can.
Welcome to my home city, born and raised. Was never a paradise, but it used to be a good city. Now it's an absolute nightmare. Housing is completely unaffordable, barely any jobs, the jobs available pay nowhere near what is required to live, the city is flooded with drugs and homeless encampments, housing and jobs are getting harder to find as there are tens of thousands of Indian migrants moving here every year and DEI initiatives (London is a liberal city) prioritize them. This is Trudeau's Canada. Any Canadian who reads this, this is going to be all of Canada if we don't get rid of him.
I used to live there over 15 years ago and Adelaide and Dundas wasn't dangerous to walk at night. An old money and white conservative town gone liberal and woke. What a sh#thole it has become. Won't ever go and visit my family screw that! They always visit me
Gee, my wife and I walked across Dundas and Adelaide the other night. Great Indian restaurant there. Friendly people, great service. Picked up some food to take home! You must be confused...
Sure there are still good services in the area but it didn't have that degree of decay 15 years ago. As one could see in the video along with the sad lost souls. Or are you saying that A I. was used in the video.
Trudeau made it a Federal Law. Ford could if he enacted the right of the province to override it, but he was bought when Trudeau said he would put the VW battery plant here. After Rob stopped opposing him.
In all honesty, I must say that I thought things would get bad with Trudeau at the helm, but I really couldn’t imagine it would be this bad. This is what economic and societal collapse looks like.
I want to cry . Thank you, Harrison, for your reporting. I thought it was just safe supply in BC.....not London, Ontario. How can this government look at themselves every morning before they go out😢 Have they not been to oversee what their policy has done ???? There is no such thing as Safe Supply. Looking at the state shown in your reporting, this policy is a total disaster!! Why are is Trudeau and his government thinking different places will net different results . This is insane .
London Ontario has become an unsafe place to visit or reside in. The only thing worse than London's sad state is the utter failure / incompetence of the LONDON POLICE DEPARTMENT.

I cannot think of any other logical reason to vote for this insanity. Oddly, there’s only ever one liberal sign our entire street, and I barely see ndp through the city. They can also start spending some of those tax dollars on actual city projects that help build a better city like alternative transit, the monorail was a great idea and here we are with horrible traffic and car accidents every where. Or how our city has turned down government funding several times now that could be used for upgrades to the city all because they want to keep the "small town" assets, it's strangling our city to death.
I live here. I have two small children . Some good neighbors. We're scared to be outside it's a constant threat. My kids can't go out front to play. Can't use our own back yard. And for all the parks in our area can't be used. The government does not care about anything other then feeding addiction. There not helping, they are contributing for their own benefits. Thank you for your report. We all need your voice, we don't have one.
Can't help but notice all the pretty green bike lanes that clog up the roads around where Harrison is conducting these interviews, followed by a guy riding his bike on the pedestrian sidewalk. That's London in a nutshell. The war on the car is progressing as planned. London is crumbling because it is governed by idiots. London was once a solid conservative city politically, but it has been hijacked by liberal and NDP socialists. No surprise this has happened to London. BTW, what is the city's budget for '40 km/hr ends' and '40 km/hr begins' signs? Reckless and ridiculous spending. When traffic grinds to a complete stop in this city as it almost certainly will with the current direction this city is taking, will the war on the car end and will we actually start building roads to accommodate the increase in volume? And NO, I don't want to take the bus.
Dude it's always been bad the bike lanes really aren't the problem at all, the problem is transit, we have buses and they blow, super inificent and no other way to travel besides bikes and cars, we need that damn monorail, the other issues are streets are to narrow on major arteries like Dundas leaving L for Woodstock or opposite into junkie filled downtown that leads to a two lane road and Oxford leading knowwhere, it's a fucking mess and many side streets are under developed too. We have to many crossings against railway tracks and very little care in general for anything outside a car. Thats the real problem bud. Oh and some of the shittiest drivers in Canada too, can't forget that! 🙃
@@Val.Kyrie. Agreed, I actually know why we don't and can't have a subway, the amount of ground water saturation downtown and other areas throughout London are sand and mud because London is basically a bowl unlike most cities, the amount of water removal daily would be immense using a ton of power and sinkage (sinkholes) would be guaranteed, also it would interfere with a lot of prebuilt structures under ground so mass infrastructure changes. So simplest solution to that would be monorail as I said and it is cheaper to build then a subway, can run all the time all year from what I understand and can be built over most structures without modifying and removing them, modern advancements in that tech today make it a real possibility now and I think we should go for it plus it would look cool too and London needs that look upgrade right now. I ain't holding my breath though with what we have for city councilors lol
The safe supply is insane, but the bigger problem is the cost of living. 20 years ago, a person working service could afford a one room apartment on a service wage. (I paid $450 a month for small but hip pad as recently as 2005.) It was a regular city then, and poor people had at least a chance. I have no idea how much housing costs now, but I bet it's way to expensive for a low income person to have any independence. This drives people to hopelessness and makes them more likely to end up on the streets and doing the junk. And it all comes from increasing the population artificially through...you guessed it, immigration.
Yes, to the cost living being a bigger problem no to immigration causing the problem even tho it doesn't help said problem it exacerbates it. Willy immigration is not to blame it is lifting rent controls off of vacant rental properties while freezing welfare rates and service workers wages. Immigrants are not responsible for Canadian politicians' neoliberal policies that only benefits the wealthy via sky high rents and tax cuts do to shredding the social safety net. That's on us for not getting rid of this plutocratic system decades ago.
That same apartment that was $450 in 2005 would now be at least $1200, probably more like $1500. My apartment in 2006 was $620 in Hamilton. Now the same units in same building go for $1750
Currently in my building in London, a 1 bedroom apartment goes for 1500. When I moved in just 3 years ago my 2 bedroom cost me 1200. The rise of cost of living is getting out of hand and every building that goes up is owned by slum lords who are charging exorbitant prices.

Here in London Ontario, but planning on leaving. London IS depressing and unsafe. There is no consideration for the public any longer, it seems. The addiction problem, as well as homelessness, is rampant. In response to individuals not wishing to speak up: who IS allowed to speak up against anything at all anymore? All facilities that could support mental illness and addiction have long been closed. Our entire society is the facility now. How truly frightening. Who is creating these grand ideas? Who in their infinite wisdom, thought that it would be a bright idea to have addiction centres stationed next to high schools? Who in their infinite wisdom decided on openings shops to support sex workers rather ensuring that safety is paramount or providing resources for permanent and safe housing. Who is setting the scene? Is there an emergency stop button for this mad a** ride? The man who refused to be on camera was clearly a worker at the supposed shelter (which seems like a terror scene) and displayed grossly unprofessional behavior. How was he selected for the job? Who is he? Thankfully, I am not an addict, yet I have 2 friends impacted, losing 2 people to fentonol this past 5 months. I attended a celebration of life just yesterday 💔 . Hell no, this supposed 'system ' is not working. It's a nightmare.
