As a Subaru wagon owner and enjoyer, the complete "Gramps" series has been epic to follow along with. Massive props to you guys for accomplishing this mean feat.

The absolute best part of this video is not the power numbers, but the child like excitement on Marty and Scott's faces. You can tell they have the XMas morning feeling going on and its contagious.

I just cannot express my gratitude to this channel for a decade & a half of awesomeness that just keeps getting better. Martin's love for Subaru's has definitely been a thing since the start. I remember the old episodes with the wrx swapped Legacy's with fond memories, the little thing like factory brake upgrade options were great to see. This is a whole other level of engineering & seems like you are doing it right!

It's crazy how much we all get drawn into the journey. I don't know you guys, except for your videos. But the fact that I'm genuinely happy for Marty shows how good the channel is! We just want one more video on HyperGramps with the extra work done, please! Can't wait for the next project.

Idea: Turbosmart is based in Aus, why not attempt get with them and get one of their new electronic wastegates? Having the wild genius of everyone at Haltech at your disposal, you could certainly use it to its fullest potential. I've seen Turbosmart send people unreleased new products, either to test or showcase, and I can't imagine they wouldn't want to work with you guys in some way. Maybe it'd be possible to visit their headquarters and tour the place and talk to experts and make a cool and informative video out of it. Getting one of their new e gates and recirculating it back to the exhaust (for Aus legality, right?) sounds like it'd be a huge upgrade for hyper gramps. The StraightGate eSG50 looks like a damn work of art. Also, could pressure sensors before and after the intercooler give you the data to confirm whether your intercooler and piping is sized appropriately? Sick build though! I, like so many others, would have killed for a good new manual turbo wrx wagon/hatchback to be made. I used to have a usdm world rally blue 5 speed bugeye wagon with some sti bits (jdm v7 sti grille, blobeye BBS wheels, sti struts and springs, sti cluster, sti stock exhaust etc.) and a downpipe, but otherwise pretty stock. It was so utilitarian being able to carry big things, move huge amps and music gear, moving, etc. Also of course great in our snowy winters, reliable, quicker than most things on the road, handled great, very analog, super fun to drive. It was my favorite car ever. That title is now shared with my 71 240z I'm currently piecing together. I'm starting to feel like y'all at MCM may have been subconsciously influencing my tastes in cars over the years...

Great job lads. The story is captured so well with the video production, narration and final words. Your Levorg is the envy of many. You deserve it Marty because you and Moog both work so hard and any success you both have has been earned. Enjoy the car that you deserve!

I think me and Marty are having very similar car lives. Iv been building/modifying a 1999 Forester Turbo S for the past 5 years, it’s now as far as I can go with my skills (99% of the work I have done myself including the spray job) and what I’m willing to spend on it. A few month ago I bought myself a 2007 Forester Cross Sport type S JDM import and now that is going to go beyond anything I could have done with the SF5

Glad to see one of you are finally getting into the big numbers! My 2004 sti has a gtx3582r gen2 making 455 kw/619 hp at the wheels for about 30k kms now on an IAG closed deck ej25 at 35 psi of boost. I also have 1700cc injectors and duel fuel pumps on it (AEM 340 lph), but I'm in eastern canada so I run it on pump 91 octane and methanol/water injection. We don't get 93/94 or e85 out here. It's also running a fully custom built 3.5" exhaust with a 4" cat in it, so it's fully road legal where I live.

A forester build would be so awesome. Hope that’s what’s coming. Man this channel is so good.

it's so crazy seeing the diifference of Scotty in front of the camera compared to the first few times so many years ago. You Lads are all so good at this now (you were always good wtih cars and tuning but now the explanations are like a seasoned proffesor or tutor.

With the name Hyper Gramps you should get a H6-HG number plate. I love this build. Wagons are some of my favorite cars, which is why I sprung for the Stagea first chance I got last year. But this is something I would love to drive. I really don't think the Subaru H-6's get the love they deserve. They are such smooth and great sounding engine's im glad you guys continue to shine light on them. Keep up the great work fellas 🤙

I just can't get enough of MCM. You guys NEVER disappoint. Awesome car and an incredible episode. I do have to say... I really thought Supergramps was going to be one of the keepers. It was so sad to see it go.

I'm living vicariously through this series. I had the thought to do something like this about 4 years ago, when I was thinking about getting a Levorg. However, never had the money, time or skills to do it. So this is great!

Im going to show this video to my Gen 3 wagon and after the ej253 instantly blows up from anxiety, maybe ill find an ez30 to have some real fun. This wagon series (all the wagons) is insanely inspirational. You have no idea.

Horsepower is amazing for the car and engine. I'm at similar power level (600) and probably the same weight 1620kg. That thing is a rocket!

I’m not a Subaru super fan but that is an absolutely fantastic looking and put together car. I think you have some of the best mates a guy could ask for all of them are super talented and humble. When Scott says your exhaust system is too good I don’t think anyone is surprised, Al is very skilled and as a younger tradesperson I really look up to him. Bravo Marty what a great build.🎉🎉🎉

I'm EXTREMELY happy for you fella (and the guys involved). YES it WILL be interesting to see if she'll crack the 600 mark... But, personally, I would probably set the limit of 'Sport Sharp' to 500/510 BHP to keep as much daily reliability/durability of the motor, because... WHAT A GEM OF A BUILD!!! And the last thing I'd want is for my RAPID Scoobie to blow up... 500 BHP wheel horse power is STILL a tidy amount to enjoy 😉👍 THAT'S A RIGHT 'SLEEPER' 😉 😎🇬🇧

It’s funny you guys mention Stages of tune. I get why people don’t like it but I prefer it. I know what stage 1, 2, 3 etc is… so it’s a bench mark to find out where in the build the engine is. So I’m glad you acknowledged it. Also, if that clue at the end is anything to go by, hypergramps vs a tuned forester would be sick!

I'm just going to say it. I would buy a Grovel. Loving the hearing protection, loving Dave in the back-seat just sipping on a drink, just loving this build all over.

Massive power, Marty's excitement was pricesless and still is humble :P. With my two turbo cars one a 2L (Stage 4) and one a 2.5 (Stage 3.5) to go over 18psi I needed a min of a 3" downpipe or the engine will overheat and also it cuts back timing. once gone 3" can put in heaps of timing and boost. For my 2.5 if built the motor i would go from my 3" to 3.5" downpipe. I have a massive intercooler and 3 row alloy radiator and still gets hot (110-120c) after a few pulls and making only 230kw on 15-16.5 (19 overboost) psi , Im looking at a electric booster coolant pump. My 2.0 is on 25psi runs cooler but timing is far less than the 2.5. Engines open up at 25 and at 35+ its balistic...500+kw When palms go sweety.

Had a day like this when we dyno’d my built Focus RS. 450whp on pump 93 and 525whp at 25psi on E85. They said the turbo maxed out and everything else could go farther. I’m stoked with this daily driver.

E-Gate and an Intake temp sensor plumbed into the Haltech can quell any and all issues you have. Then send it. Scotty is wearing knock headphones, he can hear if the engine is hurting. Trust the build.

This is brilliant - You should do a DVD or even downloadable version titled Supergramps to Hypergramps and Beyond with the whole series maybe including behind the scened footage if there are any. I would love to buy something like that

This has been one of my favorite recent MCM builds, and a worthy replacement to Supergramps! As an owner of a 2022 Outback XT with the FA24F turbo, and a 2024 Crosstrek with the FB25D (both USA models), it's my dream to have a 400+ hp Subaru wagon. The Outback scoots for 270hp though
